  1. And that is what hegemonic powers need to do in order to stay in power. You keep going on about your autarchic ideas, and I'll keep remarking that autarchy doesn't work. Everyone's happy.
  2. Thanks guys, now I feel all warm and fuzzy inside... :">
  3. Bonus T.O.M.B.S. points awarded.
  4. But I wasn't being a jerk!
  5. Yeah. An unnecessary rebuild, too. You don't need to take into consideration for your campaign that in book X of the Demon spinoff, it's stated that Lucifer is actually loose in NY, or that some crazy ass wizard blew up a nuke in the netherworld and started the end of all things in one of the Mage plots. You take what you like, and disregard the rest. It's not like the Bible, ffs. Just some more proof of the C.R.E.A.M. factor.
  6. I'd like to see your evidence for this, if it's not asking too much. I'd like to know why we didn't see any of it in the OT, and we had to wait for certain EU material to appear to know of the "Sith", as well.
  7. Yep. There's no real arguing with BW. It's more like just telling him the facts he should have researched before even getting into the discussion. Oh well. Arrogant? Most certainly. However, you fail to understand that it's precisely the arrogance of the dominating power of the moment (be it the US or the Roman Empire) that insures the stability you live so well off. I guess unintentional hypocrisy isn't completely to blame on the hypocrite, but it's hypocrisy all the same. I'm not sure what you mean by this statement, but I'm going to grant you the benefit of doubt and assume you are referring to the supposedly adverse effect that taking an active role in the ME has in terrorism. If that is what you mean, then you are just wrong. Because the alternative is assuming you mean that if terrorists don't bother you, you don't bother 'em, in which case you would be not only a dummy, but a yellow-bellied coward as well.
  8. Uh, no. You might think that since we have teh internets and crustless bread, we live in more enlightened times, but that's just wishful thinking. In the end, in international politics it always comes down to power, military and economic power. And sometimes, to keep that power, one must use it. It has always been like that, and for as long as there are different nations, that's the way it will be.
  9. FPSs are FPSs are FPSs.
  10. WTF?
  11. Taking antibiotics without prescription is a bad idea. Chances are you won't get the dose right, in which case they will either do nothing, or do too much, which can be even worse. Maybe you don't even need antibiotics at all. If you can't stand the pain, get to the doctor. It's the smart thing to do.
  12. Oh, yeah. This one definitely has potential.
  13. No, no. You've got it all wrong. Apologising, being nice and polite is not what you want to do. No, you want to keep using the obnoxious red font, and use loads of IM lingo, combined with poor grammar, if possible. Yes, that'll get you far in these boards. Otherwise, the regular denizens will be denied their fun, and we wouldn't want that, now would we?
  14. No, that's exactly what you're promoting when you say: It's nice you still can rectify, though.
  15. Nice dodge. Unfortunately, you have performed that one so many times one can see it coming from miles away. You just don't have any arguments, and it shows.
  16. As a matter of fact, I said autarchy. It's a different thing.
  17. Hey Hades, usually I have no problem with you being all doom and gloom, but that is just rubbish. Autarchy as a political doctrine has been proven a failure, in the real world. Things just don't work that way. Get a clue, man.
  18. Aren't they? Hm... I wonder who's living in a fantasy world. " Sorry about that. It's the price of free will. Then again, perhaps free will is overrated.
  19. A trendy contradiction, if there was ever one.
  20. It's awesome, if a bit on the easy side. Lots of neat details. Really cool move system, with combos that involve several enemies. The levels are mostly taken from the movies, and adapted so they last more than 2 minutes. Finally they took the hint that people actually wanted to play as Neo...
  21. Agreed. In this case, you are sorely lacking both.
  22. Path of Neo.
  23. I gave up trying to convince people that refuse to acknowledge logic some time ago. Around the time I saw my first Volourn post, probably. That's not going to stop me from posting the truth, though.
  24. Only as far as you consider KotOR canon.
  25. Um, ok. By not canon I meant it in the purist sense, as in not being in the movies.
