No, it really is hunter killer...they said so in the game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, it does not mean hunterkiller. I asked that question on the bioware website and one of the devs explained that he'd actually put it in as a nod to his group of pool playing buddies I think he said. Hehe, Chris doesn't want his house to be fire bomed, so he made sure everyone knew the real Hk is back. Personally, I loved Hk. He was hilarious and could always be counted on to say something insane and absolutely hilarious.

... Shock value of being so god damn retarded we cannot belive someone with half a brain cell allowed to be it on the game. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Indeed :D I would hate if it turned out to be exactly what happens, but it is an interesting idea. I'm really trying to figure out how they're going to incorperate he/she in, so it was just a thought.

Yeah, I would prefer it didn't happen, but I was looking at some screenshots and it just occured to me. In this case, with all the turmoil in the galaxy, it could be very dramatic to have a scene you know like in Episode One where the Queen reveals herself. Your party is in deep sh** as usual, it appears there's no escape, and then suddenly one of the characters you thought was force blind electrocutes/freezes the enemy, and explain everything when you escape. Probably not feasable, like I said, but it would be sorta cool, It would definitely have shock value.

How on earth can we make use of all these skills?
Kazic replied to OrganisedChaos's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I actually like the idea of more skills It give more choices both in the dialogue, and in how you choose to play the game. More choices= Good stuff -
that perhaps one of your party members is Revan. I know the various difficulties of bringing him/her back physically, but you never know. What do the rest of you think?

Chronicles of the Old Republic - Part III
Kazic replied to funcroc's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Or that could be what they want you to think, that the ingisnia is just a placeholder. Who knows, it may have some signifigance. -
I like the sibling rivalry idea. I really think that she's also connected to bastila somehow, maybe through Nil. Perhaps Bastila took an apprentice (or two! Atris and Nil) after the war, and then Nil, fell with Bastila, while atris remained in the light. Or something... *sigh* This game needs to come out lol. I need it now, so I can find out what all this is about.

Mandalore is definately Canderous!
Kazic replied to jaguars4ever's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
There is some debate as to what that statement meant. What was said is that "the crew is all dead." Some people think that the crew being referred to is the second crew that was on the ebon hawk with your new character in K2, and not the original crew from the K1 game. Also, one thing that could explain how canderous became Mandalore: We know that some characters can only joing your party based upon your alignment correct? Well suppose if you say that Revan went LS, Candy did "retire" like he talked to you about doing. If you say that Revan went DS, however, things change. Remember, Candy swore to follow Revan anywhere. What if when Revan fell again, she/he (who technically was Mandalore. I think the rule is if you kill the current one, you gain the title) gave the title to Candy, effectively "crowning " him as the new leader. He then swears the loyalty of the Mandalorian Remanant to Revan (who wouldn't want them on their side? Even diminished as they are, in the hands of such a brilliant military leader as Revan, they'd be a formidible force) for the upcoming war using the lure of the glory of battle, regaining their former strength, and claiming revenge on the Republic to spur them on. This could explain how Candy becomes Manadalore, even though he talked about getting tired of fighting. He did it because Revan asked him to. Then when Revan went poof or whatever he just kept the title, feeling an obligation to his people. What do ya'll think? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> there is no rule that says when if you kill a Mandalore, you become a Mandalore. Your theory is mute anyhow, because there was already a Mandalore KOTOR. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No it's not. I know there was a mandalore. Revan killed him. I'm not sure what protocol is, but I thought the one who kills the current mandalore legally gains the title. Even if they don't accept it, they're still seen as the "heir" in the eyes of the rest of the people. -
Mandalore is definately Canderous!
Kazic replied to jaguars4ever's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Lol. Well, even scrapping the gaining the title part, Revan still could have installed Candy as Mandalore. The Mandalorians would probably respect Revan, since he/she is supposed to be the single reason why the Republic beat them. Anyone he/she though worthy of the title, would probably be accepted by the mandalorians. And if not, he/she could have "coerced" them into giving the title to Candy, thereby effectively giving Revan control of the Mandalorians through Candy. Does this revised version work for you naysayers? -

YOU COULD KILL IT?! I was able to sneak past it once... Still don't know how I managed that one.

Sion was Kreia's apprentice not Nihilus' <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How do you know this? Where are you guys getting all this information?

Relative to what? Wanting multiple universes to bow to you? LOL.

Hehe. Seriously Lu, give it a looksy. If you like good SW stories and cool people (many of them women or young women) try us out. I'd reccomend reading the Obi Wan Challenge Thread in The Sage section of the Fanfiction Jedi Council boards. That tends to be where a lot of women hang out (because we all love drooling over Obi-Wan lol). *sidles baack on topic*

Well you don't want much huh?

Ok, you're right, I brought it onto myself . But seriously, the combination female/Star Wars is not one you see everyday. I for myself never met a female SW fan. I don

How would you show the face of the Revan character in this game (regardless of gender)? Atton: What did Revan look like ( character faces flash across the screen). Hehe...

Really I'll probably just play through and choose whatever is appealing at the time and not try to stick to any particular path for my first run through. When I actually try to stick to a side regardless of whether I do this or just cruise through in the gray first I am going to do DS first, just to test out the limits of the game, then LS. I understand why some people only play one side, but that's silly to me. I mean you've payed your money for the game, you should you play it to the fullest extent. I never play a game and then only play certain parts of it. Also, since this is a new company handling the game, you never know, DS may be less thugish and more truly evil, though I think the reason games shy away from that is some people would find it offensive and repulsive. Congress is on the Videogame indutry enough, what with blaming them and the Music industry for every kid that shoots up a school instead of blaming our crappy, under-financed schools and bad parenting. Do we really need to give them another reason to point and say, "See! Those games are detrimental to the minds of people who play them!" Gee, this post morphed from a simply answer to an opinion question into a political rant. My sincerest apologies.

She's blind? That's an interesting twist. I've actually written afew stories about blind Jedi. It'd be interesting to see it in actual practice. I say rock on Kreia! She's a Cathar right?

I second that!!!! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> And I'll third it lol. NOTHING was worse than being talked down to by walking appetizers. I hope we learn that manaan was destroyed between kotor 1 and 2 and that the republic discovered a way to repilcate kolto.

What made lightsaber battles excititing
Kazic replied to OrganisedChaos's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I liked kotor's cinematics, even if it didn't seem realistic sometimes. In my opinion, games like Ja turn the lightsaber, one of the most elegannt weapons ever created, into a cumbersome weapon with all the cutting ability of a butter knife. Kotor actually had true lightsaber fights when people blocked spun and parried. It was very polished and a welcomed change to the katarn games. -
It would make sense that the new sith lord's a woman. That's why she wears the mask: she doesn't want to be seen as male or female, just a dark entity or whatever.
