  1. With a doctors kit, I believe.
  2. I don't think hardcore was really designed to be more difficult, it is just more of a realism mechanic. I'm enjoying it so far. Traps definitely suck more when you have to go to a doctor, and worrying about the radiation level of food is neat.
  3. Is Firefox mom?
  4. Formal fallacy, affirming the consequent That wasn't a fallacy, he wasn't implying that the latter logically followed from the former. It was just a statement. It was a fallacy because it assumes that DA1=DA2 which is not true. No, he used the term likely.
  5. I could eat naan all day, especially with potatoes.
  6. This contradicts what you're regularly posting in the threads about Bioware games. Boo has a job to do, dangit, and it's bigger than whether a game is good or not. He is the Anti-champion of Bioware!
  7. It's censored because of the potential for embarrassing misquotes.
  8. When it is all said and done, it will probably be remarkably similar to the original. Take that as you will.
  9. I'm on the PC and enjoying it, no troubles so far *knock on wood*
  10. Except there is no argument here. Entrerix didn't like the guy in the camp, and I agreed with him. Good luck with your future trolling, kthnxbye.
  11. I agree, it was a major immersion breaker.
  12. Again, Steam is free DRM, whereas that used to be a significant cost. That is why it is no surprise developers are jumping at it.
  13. That is less impressive when we take into account you are only 8-years old.
  14. Steam is pretty much the future, it's free DRM. The nice thing is they have greatly improved Steam since the original launch, so at least Offline mode works more regularly. I'd say you could get a console to avoid these hassles, but my PS3 is getting more and more finicky over the fact I don't have a stable internet connection, so I don't see that lasting much longer.
  15. Order online. Cook it yourself. God no. I love curry, and I've cooked it. It is not a smell that leaves the kitchen easily. Seriously, leave it to the professionals.
  16. I found a pic of this poster online...
  17. I would think PC gaming wouldn't be dead until they stop porting console games over. I also think there are plenty of games every year that are released on both, but are better on the pc.
  18. I'm getting old There have always been a few Mexican states that were pretty much out of the reach of the government. It's basically dense jungle in some of these regions. As I said, the US has these areas as well, although the yokels out in the Appalachians aren't quite as well trained as the Zapatistas in Chiapas.
  19. Mexico was in much worse shape twenty years ago. The peso was completely devalued for awhile there in the 80's. Currently their economy is as stable as it has ever been, which is surprising given the current state of the world economy. edit: I realize that doesn't really relate to the drug war per se, but what I'm saying is Mexico isn't close to collapse here. I think I get Wals comparison a bit better, in that the drug war in Mexico is similar to the was in Afghanistan due to the nature of the enemy. I just don't think the countries themselves bear much similarity. Mexico has 16 companies on the Forbes top 100 list, after all. It still has a sickening divide between the rich and the poor, but it isn't a country in ruin.
  20. We need to try and get all the Obsidian folks on the same server. That way we can all play in misery together.
  21. I can be the jock, since I'm all buff now from my workout sessions and I have a hockey player avatar. My first act is to give the video game nerd a wedgie. Gotta set the tone early, sorry Iwanttehkotor (can we come up with a decent nickname for him?)
  22. It was because of his foreign policy, which at first glance was a nice step away from Bush. Whether there has been any real follow through is another matter, I can't say I've been impressed with the implementation.
  23. Uh, wot? I thought it was more like the original than anything.
  24. Redundant man is redundant. Seriously though, I have no idea what your post is referring to.
  25. I am also referring to quantifiable impact, and there are separate quest lines, unique dialogue, different influences on characters, and the ending that is all influenced by your origin. It is your opinion that they weren't good enough, but they were there. Affecting the main storyline, at least as dramatically as you seem to want, is an unrealistic expectation. That would make it six different games.
