  1. In case you haven't noticed, reddit and the media are triumphly declaring that it is not censorship. It is about creating sound environments for constructive discussion. We do not need a history book to know what kind of spiral they have started now. But I would really recommend reading some history books, because then maybe you'd spend less time worrying about this stuff.
  2. I did some massive re-organizing in our garage to clear up space for our spring loaded flooring and gymnastics equipment. Kind of a rough way to spend the first day of summer break, but we are having a birthday for our little guy tomorrow and it's a good play space. My fitbit registered it all as active time, so that's cool. Now I'm hydrating and then I've got an 11 PM hockey game.
  3. The f2p works in the beginning, but later on you will be severely restricted by it. Compared to other games (like Rift as an example) it´s a horrifically bad one. Well it's actually a preferred account, since it used to be an active sub. I think it will be fine for a 5 year old.
  4. I picked up Wolfenstein for $15, that was a good deal.
  5. You get tenure pretty early on. What really keeps people in their place is the fact that most school districts will not give you more than 10 years credit when moving to a new job, so you can take a pretty significant pay cut if you leave after more than 10 years.
  6. Ive been at the same place for almost 20 years. Huh. Maybe it's just an education thing, but we get a solid amount of people getting antsy to move on in between the 10-15 year mark. Some do, some stick it out. Once you hit 20, you can see the light at the end of the tunnel though.
  7. I've actually been playing this with my 5 year old son a bit. It's nice that I don't have to pay for his account, since we basically hang out on the start planets and fight bad guys. Actually my son prefers the dark side, so I guess we fight good guys.
  8. It's more of the actual dishonesty than the identifying with a different culture or race, for myself. Although I am reticent to fully trust the parents, they seem a bit shady. There is some stuff that they seem to be nitpicking on. They admit she lived in a teepee and has some native american heritage, but they are quick to dismiss it in their efforts to undermine her. Not really a healthy family.
  9. He is a co owner, not just a worker. That really doesn't change anything. 12 years is a long run. It's very common to want a change around that mark.
  10. Well that settles it. Luridis is Bester.
  11. It was nice to see the Warriors play a solid game from start to finish. I think Iguodala is the series MVP if the Warriors win it.
  12. I figured wearing heavy platemail makes people walk funny.
  13. Has anyone here worked at one place for 12 years?
  14. I forgot what a pain it is to navigate the DC Metro system in Fallout 3.
  15. I think you are overestimating the depth of these people.
  16. I've never really bothered with reddit, and this doesn't change my opinion there.
  17. Oh no, where will all the people go to make fun of fat people?
  18. I like how the usher reacts. "I'll remember your face."
  19. The Warriors have played well defensively, hence the close games. Lebron is getting pressured.
  20. Hah, I had to look into that one, too funny!
  21. That is exactly what I expected from that movie based on the trailers.
  22. You are kind of obsessed with this stuff.
  23. I feel like I haven't seen a Warriors offensive rebound for the entire series. Given the season and talent, you would expect the Warriors to start shooting well again. But they are running out of games.
  24. It's a bummer they can't get Thomas Jane, but he seems like a decent choice.
