Old Console games are all but public domain, they're still copyrighted, but only because copyrights last a really long time. Nintendo and Sega etc. generally look the other way because they aren't making money off the titles anymore. There never was a threat to video games any more than there was a threat to rock and roll. And Blank just gets on my nerves. Idiots.

I would have if it was a PS2 or an Xbox, but I've never heard of a Nintendo system breaking down due to anything but extremely old age, or user ineptness. Just look at the length of the standard warranties offered by each of the consoles right now, Ninty have faith in their hardware, and want to keep customers happy. Theirs is three times as long as the warranty for the PS2 or the Xbox, same for the Xbox 360 too. EDIT: This is directed at kotorkyle, Potent posted as I was writing it.

Or off of Ebay, I got mine for $150 with eight games, two controllers, and a POS memory card (but enough to get started). Most of the eight games were good ones too, the only one that wasn't was some 007 game (Agent Under Fire I think).
