  1. Yup! Im currently trying to manage four multiple personalities, violent mood swings and various addictions and thats when not writing my book and keeping the neighbours awake with my constant loud guitar practice. When I finally get a break from all that I usually relax get out a book or a good movie, maybe go watch a rock concert if theres one worth watching. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Can I be your groupie?
  2. I need to start posting more...how long have you been here?
  3. The newest one in the IL-2 line is Pacific Fighter, fyi <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I read a review on that, best thing is, you can ad it on to the previous titles, so you have ALL the planes, and there should be patches with more planes, and fixes for the historical inaccuracies. This is odd, they've been running commercials for this game on some of the channels my little brother's been watching, it looked like one of those puerile shooters you'd forget after one or two playthroughs...so Gamespy's saying it's actually GOOD? Then again...it IS Gamespy...
  4. Abuhwha? <tries to remember if he ever offended Teatime in his sordid forum career> P.S. I agree about Bioware/Obsidian.
  5. I dunno. Has he stopped posting on other forums too? I suspected he just pulled a Mr. Teatime.
  6. CLICKY I got one too! <dances>
  7. Playing as a Malk was AWESOME! I missed talking to the lamppost though, where was that?
  8. Has anyone besides me noticed the only vamps you can seduce are Jeanette and Velvet? That actually makes sense because A. Jeanette was an oddball anyway...and pretty much everyone in the game knew she was a temptress who 'debased herself' with humans. B. Velvet was a Toreador, and by the manual's own admission, it says that that clan is most similar/in tune with humans, and still dabbled in mortal affairs. Near the end of the game, there's an Seduction dialogue option in one of your conversations with Becket, and he says something along the lines of "Sometimes I wonder if the Nosferatu aren't correct in their prejudices."
  9. Hehehe, this is kinda funny actually. I signed up for the board before most of the people who post now who didn't come over from the IE boards. I signed up when the rumor mill first started throwing around WHO exactly would be devving KotOR 2, no confirmation or anything, just speculation... The boards were pretty dead though, so my account idled for several months after I signed up, as I forgot about this board, until I was foraging on the Bio Boards one day, and came across that Obsidian WAS in fact going to Dev KotOR2. I then started bragging to the other Bio Refugees about how I signed up months in advance of them, just because I could.
  10. I dunno...some might think it's sadder you actually BELIEVE there's a need for such laws... " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Think through the possiblitiesif anyone could jump on a plane and go anywhere <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm not talking about passports. Passports = Good Stupid stuff like this with absolutely no loophole in this type of event...and no resolution even when said event is widely acknowledged = Bad Just my two cents.
  11. I really do think the only character who DIDN'T try to manipulate you was Nines. Even Jack did, if only for your own good.
  12. I dunno...some might think it's sadder you actually BELIEVE there's a need for such laws... "
  13. I'd be one. I havent had this much with a game in quite a while. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'd be another... its almost as if they actually prefer this "out" they have had. judging from their responses about their "hands being tied" in terms of patching and buggy games, it almost seems like they prefer it so that they have a built in excuse when fans complain. "its not our fault. we want to patch the game. but its our publishers call". considering they have 3 titles under their belt now, you would hope that if, in fact, this isnt what they want as a security blanket, then theyre established enough to negotiate in the contract to be able to do their own internal QA and patch releases when they see fit. if their next game is just like toee and vtmb, then i think thats a pretty good indication theyd rather do a sloppy job on their games and then hide behind the fact its "not their choice" on whether a patch is made or not. or maybe im just cynical towards their product after getting burned twice. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I really hope that's not the case...but it DOES have a glimmer of truth. A. How much have you invested into the 'Charisma' and 'Research' Skilltrees. Both affect persuasion IIRC, and change your dialouge options significantly. All three characters I've played so far I've invested heavily in those trees (Toreador, Malkavian, and Tremere), and it changed the options significantly. The amount of Humanity you have also affects your dialogue options, so I'd advise keeping it as full as you can. With a vamp with full Humanity, and high persuasion, I usually found there's polite responses for schmoozing, and one or two impolite/sarcastic responses to piss people off (because you're a 'badass vampire'). B. I believe (though I'm not sure as I'm no coder) that a lot of the problems with the speeds were due not only to the memory leaks (sloppy coding) but lack of engine optimization (double sloppy coding). I accessed the console just to see what cvars were in it, and found that the 'physcannon' cvar is in it, even though that's a holdover from the Grav-Gun in HL2. I imagine there's more too...'noclip' is there as well; but I found that was pretty useful anyway for instance in the Chantry, for whatever reason, if you turn 'noclip' on, you'll find the Newsroom that's always on the TV is in the same map, you can jet up there now that you've can't hit any of the game's walls, and for whatever reason, there's a $150 Money Clip sitting in the corner of the newsroom. 1. I had that problem too my first playthrough, I imagine you turned on 'noclip'. However, while it may APPEAR the bar won't move, you just have to be at the VERY edge of it to get it to move. All I can figure is one of their cleverly placed 'invisible walls' jutted out a little too far there. 2. Female characters are more useful because there's more mission critical targets to manipulate via seduction. However if you REALLY feel like seducing the chicks in the bars, you can either ramp up your Appearance and Subterfuge skills manually, or use some handy-dandy cvars. I do agree that this was a rather poor choice...but I can see why they made it. " 3. Some things I liked about the ways you could manipulate the XP: When you were setting up a character at the beginning, since you got a set amount of 'levels you could invest in the skill trees rather than having a set amount of XP to upgrade them with, it was more useful to throw all your levels into the same category, saving on XP later. Ironically enough, even before I'd heard of that bug I'd never enountered it, and after I had, I've played through it again...still no problems, playing it through a third time now, almost there, I'll be knocking on wood! As for the endings...
  14. Zoq: We remember hearing about this a while before the movie came out. Fot: We tried telling people it was based on a true story, but they just looked at us funny. Pik: ... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We should introduce the three of you to Gromnir. ^_^ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Indeed. You don't post much anymore Jag, or have you just been in the KotOR2 forums?
  15. Return it and get a Radeon 9600XT? I've had mine forever, never had any problems with it. About to upgrade to an Asus X800 too. Mine's already taken though, my dad wants it for the family rig, it needs upgraded, and he offered to pay me for it.
  16. Eh, point flew right over your head with that one, just like some of the posters in this thread. He was a Chaotic-Neutral w/ Good Tendencies. Unlike 99% of the other Force Wielders out there, he was more or less content to just sit back and let whatever was going to happen in the galaxy happen, once he came face to face with evil, once again; in the form of Revan reborn...and he knew he MIGHT have some sort of chance of stopping it, he tried to. I imagine he knew he wouldn't win in a fight, but he probably thought he had some sort of chance of getting you to back down...even if you were injured first. Wow...you people are crazy...or you missed the Bukakke reference. Was I the ONLY one who saw the burn that indicated she was under the same mind control all the others were (including Cyclops, who was decidedly NOT evil)? It was a metaphorical sperm-tear. Well, both his and your problem is that you take this way to seriously. I have an odd sense of humor that may be difficult to fully comprehend, usually I tend to get as close as possible to being completely serious while still retaining full comedy. There may be some odd bits of material in here that could form the basis of a serious argument but that was for comedic effect The only real true thing I have to say is that i think its sad when they kill off beautiful actresses and keep the lame protagonistic ones. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I caught it, it was f'n hilarious too.
  17. I liked Speaker for the Dead better. The ending was very bittersweet though, I actually read the first one (Ender's Game) for a book report in school earlier this year, my essay was titled 'Two Sides of the Same Coin". I always thought it was some kind of allusion to Cocaine! And thus you have the source of my name. Eru is the head 'God' figure from which all the other lower gods sprung up from in The Silmarillion, and is who the Eldar, Dwarves, and about an equal split of the Men followed.
  18. Not...here. Oh how I wish they were. We still don't have CABLE. BTW Ender, do they use Salt out in your part of the country to clear the roads of snow? I know they used to in Detroit, that's quite possibly the only thing that would make me reconsider trying to find a job out in Omaha someplace...other than that, everything sounds good and I'll probably be getting A+ and CISCO certs as soon as I wrap up highschool. I read somewhere that it can run pretty good on dialup. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sounds good, I'll have to look into it then.
  19. Alienware's are prettier; objects of pure essence of technolust.
  20. I thought the visual effects at the end of that scene were nice as well. The Adamantium that came out of the corner of her eye looked like a tear. On second thought, they weren't nice, but...appropriate.
  21. Um...wasn't she under mind control so he didn't really have a choice? You should try reading Hellboy. It's a lot deeper than most comic books, and actually has quite a bit of character relationships and drama.
  22. Ah yes, but do you have no food tax?
  23. Hell hath no fury like a Gully Dwarf!
