I moved it here so that people can see it and hopefully respond - we've decided to keep the discussion about Fallout New Vegas to a few threads so that other topics do not drown in issues, general discussions, spoilers etc.

That's very annoying - not everyone is experiencing bugs however.. I've had well over 60 hours without a gamebreaking hitches. But I know the frustration, I couldn't play GTA IV until almost a year after its release due to bugs (and every patch just messed up the game even more). I remember thousands of players were ripping RS to shreds in forums and tech support. Some mods came out later that made the game playable until a patch was released by Rockstar that fixed my game eventually. Try looking through these? The cool thing about a dedicated mod community is that they can shoot down a narrow problem, while the developers have to focus on the larger game breaking bugs.

I always thought Thanksgiving was in February - (reading about it on wikipedia).. seems a little late for a harvest festival? Most of the harvesting is over in October.. But happy Thanksgiving to all Americans and Canadians who celebrate it.

Not to spoil anything, but then they would diverge very far from the comic, the kid has a very central role to play in the overall story and moral - but reading this thread it sound like they have anyway? Rick never gets inside the tank in the comic, he just runs away and meets Glenn (the Asian kid) in an alley.

I'm also interested in a good RPG, so I'm following this as well .. Has anyone played Dark Messiah? I've been looking at it for some time and it looks interesting, but I can't decide.

I had a pretty good Templar/Champion (and finally Spirit Warrior) build - I liked the advanced fighter aspect, where you had to manage your character, much like a mage.. Besides that he was quite amusing because he was radiantly translucent..

I had the monorail explode, but continued - it didn't seem to have a big effect on the game.. The NCR repaired in in a week or so.

Cheers man, I'll take a read. The AW is ok with a sword (and the shield is nice) - but I've never tried the ranged approach, mostly because I think your staff is a better ranged attack? It's however important to remember that you can't cast certain spells while you have a sword or bow in hand. See this list to see what you can and cannot.

If you are a good character, it's hard to justify the action required to unlock bloodmage.. but save before it happens, take the evil route, then load the save - voila - it's unlocked and you can still be a good guy.

Countries like Saudi Arabia show that wealth and modernization of society does not necessarily lead to a rise in democratic tendencies. Woops, I misunderstood WoD. What I meant was that culture and power always change over time - especially when more and more people demands to be heard.. I didn't mean to imply that this change is always for the better.

It's different. Tie Fighter had the advantage of a very thorough background and established lore, coupled with a great game - which made it an instant classic. Freespace does the Simulator mechanics much better, it's simply a more advanced game, but the story is not as fleshed out when you begin (obviously) - the story did however feel very original and fresh at the time of it's release, but as a newcomer you will have seen it all before.. Many games afterwards have a similar storyline. For a modern player the story in the original FS will probably feel a little rushed and the battles a little less grand than they are made up to be (3 fighter wings attacking a carrier constitutes a major battle) and the enemy comes in convenient waves.. while the second game does have similar game mechanics, some of the larger battles can be quite intense - with multiple larger vessels, flak, anti-fighter beams and a dozen fighter wings at once. In comparison, The Homeworld series (for instance) is a lot more epic in this regard, but the story-arch of Freespace 1 and 2 does take the player on quite a ride. And it's one of the only space fighter simulators where I've felt like a small pawn in a huge war and not like the ultimate weapon of destruction.

I've always found it easier to play with keyboard.. but to each his own. Use this for the easiest install - through this program you can download and use all the most popular mods. PM me when you get it, if you need help. It took me a a while to figure it out on my own and I'd be glad to help you skip that step.

I know.. I downloaded a mod called FSPort, which allows you to play the complete and original Freespace campaign in this new engine (and you don't even need the original FS game only FS2) - I'm now officially flabbergasted by modders.

Reinstalled Freespace 2 and found all the amazing mods - the Open Freespace (that someone in here recommended) is absolutely unbelievable.. They've made a rather old game look almost worthy of a modern titel (X3 like graphics). Just look at this mod. or these screenshots. That's pretty bad*** for a 1999 game.

I'd pick Spain personally and head down to Andalusia to see the Moorish forts and the old Islamic Europe. Some of the mosques and forts down there are very beautiful - with clear Spanish/Roman and Islamic inspiration.
