  1. Well I've buckled under and bought the game as well.. I'm on the European RP-PVP server Lord .. something.. Kemamoun is char-name in case anyone wants to befriend me.
  2. Because it's rained for two days straight, I'm a lot less excited about summer. Yeah, that makes as much sense. Huh? The latest singleplayer rpg from the developer failed to impress him so he's not so optimistic about the next game from them.. that seems perfectly fair?
  3. I apparently play way too much heh
  4. There's a Danish cooking show you would love Walsh.. Eating with Price.. Following the brothers James and Adam Price. Do you guys (ie British) still buy Danish butter btw?
  5. Thanks you three - I'll be trying my luck tomorrow.. If I'm offline for a week you can assume that I messed something up.
  6. Ha(b)sburgs
  7. Asus P5Q pro is my motherboard. I can't figure this out - how do I check if it supports booting from SATA.
  8. I've decided to do a reinstall of my system and I'm now trying to figure out how to do it.. I need help from the tech savy among us.
  9. All right - I want to clean up my computer and have decided to go for a clean install of Win7. I have 2 HDD, and old IDE of and a SATA. Both drives are split in 2 - the IDE in C: (130gb) and D: (100gb) the Sata in F: (50gb) and G:(880gb) Windows is installed on the IDE on C: - but I want to install it on the Sata on F: Problem is when I wanted to do that originally, the computer wouldn't boot on the Sata. So my question is this - how do I make it boot on the Sata and change F: to C:? and how do I, in the best way, merge the 2 partitions on the IDE?
  10. Actually they are going for K
  11. It's not his fault that a segment of gamers are a-holes.. I'm thinking that kind of person simply pirate for the sake of it, their personal sticking-it-to-the-man, without realising (or perhaps simply refusing to) that this behaviour is detrimental to their interests.
  12. They are "invading" some of the coastal cities and buying up all the butter.. So no need to donate..
  13. I used to be an arrow, but then I hit an adventurer in the knee.. Also, I've kinda reached my limit with Skyrim .. I'll be waiting till January/February when the mods come rolling.
  14. Spend a great evening eating good food and discussing Jacques Derrida with a friend.. Also I'm laughing at Norway and their butter shortage. The Colbert Report about it was especially hilarious.
  15. Former thread.. Some of the former points.
  16. There's really big and beautiful Moon Halo going on right now.. Gotta love the universe.
  17. Thanks for setting that straight - it really did seem a bit strange.
  18. Watch Gasland.
  19. Look Volo, you are basically saying that even if something doesn't work we should just keep doing it because something has to be done! Arguing that thievery is morraly just is wrong .. I agree with that, but that was never the issue to begin with so I don't know why you are bringing it up? I'm simply saying that the current model of fighting piracy isn't working, in fact it seems to have quite the opposite effect - customers are starting to boycott and be annoyed - that's really effin serious, when your bread and butter starts complaining then you listen! And as you say they have reacted, but that reaction just isn't enough... You say pirates have entitlement issues and I agree - but companies do too - you have to treat your customer with respect otherwise you destroy the foundation of your income. But perhaps this is for the best - the music industry has certainly flourished as the old paradigm (ie publishers) is starting to die - perhaps the gaming industry will as well.
  20. reductio ad absurdum.. I too can play that game.. If the only alternative the police adopted was to arrest random people and harass innocent people then I do think we should stop trying..
  21. I agree that no one should pirate games - I'm in no way advocating that if anyone should be in doubt. My whole argument is that a lot of consumers (myself included) find the mast majority of DRMs to be not only ineffective but also a nuisance to us instead of the intended pirates. This is my only beef, I feel like I'm being punished because some idiot decided s/he doesn't want to pay and that's not good business in my book. While it's a fair argument to simply boycott, and I've done that more than a few times, I feel my efforts just leads to publishers blaming pirates for the poor sales instead. And so we're back to square one with more DRM being introduced.
  22. What, seriously?
  23. Thank you Calax, exactly.. Wait.. so developers shouldn't combat piracy with offering better service for paying customers.. everyone should instead just accept annoying crap?.
  24. To me it's more a sense of not using resources wastefully. But I think it's fairly more expensive in Europe, like gas is.. It's 45,5 cents per kWh here.
