Well, TWD also had double the episodes ordered up on half the budget. Which basically tanked the series while it was just getting legs. If it wasn't for that strong establishing mini-series of a first season and the fact that people were hungry for a long-form zombie flick then I think it would have died instead of becoming the... zombie that it is. Basically everyone that I know who watches considers it one of their lower-brow viewing pleasures and is thoroughly annoyed by plenty.

US does run drug rings. Hezbollah has been trying to become a more legitimate party/faction. Shifting money to Hezbollah through unconventional means would obviously be the method of choice. Obama would have placed a higher utilitarian value on relations with Iran. Nothing about that reads as improbably, NYPost does where wear it's bias on it's sleeve though. edit: spellingz

Looks like GTA3

My biggest gripe is that the Rule Set is combined for both titles now. Doing so makes sense for the World of Eora section, but there should be separate Rule Set sections. We wouldn't want people to end up nuking the PoE1 information, and having both versions in the same page would end up pretty messy. I like how the FF wiki breaks down each job for each game. Although that site's navigation should not be emulated.

I've never heard the premiere crowd not like a movie.

Would Netflix snatch it up? Seems like they want Lost in Space to take off as their flagship scifi show.

It's part of a trilogy? Isn't it just two parts? Or is Captain Marvel being factored in? edit: Looks like Captain Marvel is more the culmination of the Agents of Shield stuff against the Kree. Pretty sure Infinity War is just a two parter. edit2: Actually CM takes place in the 1990s and Ant-Man two takes place before Infinity War. Interesting... I wasn't expecting that. I guess Infinity War is also over, there is no part 2. The next Avenger's is currently untitled to avoid plot spoilers of Infinity War. Very interesting...

POE I before POE II?
injurai replied to nbstokes's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
If you like crpgs, yes. If you are more compelled by the story prospects of Deadfire, then just play 1 on story mode. I think it's worth to play it first no matter what. Especially for lore and character development. -
I wonder if most ornate ceremonial armor of the past wasn't actually for ceremony or rank, but was simply the noble prodigal nerds proto-larping.

I really enjoyed Infinity War, I've noticed a trend with my favorite Marvel films. The Winter Solider Civil War Infinity War Those Russo Brothers man... good stuff. My family thought it was too heavy on the action, with not enough exposition. Normally I'd agree, but I saw it as the culmination of a bunch of personal developments across a variety of films. I think this was dealing with the most profound subject matter out of all of the films as well.

Got any links to that? I'm curious. Unfortunately, it’s kinda tedious to link them all individually. If you scroll back to 2/1/17 in his feed you should be able to find the threads It's still a start. Thanks! EDIT: Okay, I checked all the hotspots outlined by Chris and... I don't see anything scandalous in the contents of the interview? What's so terrible about, say, the fact that Feargus doesn't lose sleep over what could have been (specifically, missing the infamous 85% Metacritic bonus)? Am I missing something? EDIT 2: *doesn't lose sleep. I accidentally swallowed a word. Regardless what Feargus actually thinks about that lost metacritic bonus, his nonplussed attitude about it always struck me as a "we are happy and willing to work with publishers." They don't want to go around burning bridges because other publisher's might take notice, and often publishers want to run things in their interest. So it's best not to scare them off by overly high standards. Tis the unfortunate reality of an industry built around luxury products. Yes, all you nerds are lucky to even get to play games. But... how is that bad? I mean, unless I'm mistaking the tone of your post. All I meant to say was that the interview seemed fairly normal and level-headed. Which makes Chris' insistence on pinpointing things that weren't really conveyed there very strange and confusing to me. (For the record, I agree with you. Also, on an unrelated note, I had no idea that Obsidian was initially supposed to develop Human Revolution. Huh.) It's just a defense of Feargus not losing sleep over certain things, and digging into the metacritic example a bit more as it's a good example of the type of thing to best not be too bothered by.

That's great to hear, I genuinely mean that but unfortunately I live in the US. Tis the land of shamelessness and the whole corporate world is a lot like feudalism, it ain't fun to be a serf. Having studied the feudal era of Japan, it struck me has how similar it was to modern day corporate America. Namely how ownership of revenue streams worked. Typically the rich owned revenue that was generate a hundred miles away, so nobody could directly act out in anger. While those they spend money on where earning revenue for the rich folks that lived over where they were earning revenue. Basically nobody had an outlet to complain, and the rich payed patronage and charity just enough to make the locals think they were the good kind of wealthy. If you didn't own land, or revenue streams, you had to be affiliated with houses that did. Otherwise you'd fall off the map. Today even the manner in which general insurance and other benefits come to people, you basically have to be a member of these "micro-kingdoms" we call companies. What percentage of the economy or employment is under these businesses? What percentage of the state owns a business and can write themselves their own check?

I think this whole ordeal has been a case study in the patchwork nature of the human memory. I'll give MCA the benefit of the doubt on that. Still I think he's in too deep, said too much.

Not that it necessarily relates to the above, but it should be mentioned that not two months ago he wasn't sure who'd designed the PoE2 story either: https://twitter.com/ChrisAvellone/status/973664127120887808 Wooooooooooooooooooooooow...........................

None too compelling :/ Except this one!

It really was pure fantasy material wasn't it. But If the ladies got their sparkly emo vampires, then the guys can get their pan-sexual space nymphs amiright? They certainly can and I don't begrudge them that. But there's plenty of room in this market for all types. There should be games for people that hate romance of any kind, games for kawaii uguu~ power fantasy, and games for people that like something grounded in reality. The world doesn't need more uguu-indulgence. We as a society should take advantage of the fact that not all things need to exist.
