The robot would simply by the instrument, some person(s) would be liable for such a crime. Robots don't and won't have rights, and robots are also different from AI/Artificial Consciousness. So there's you're answer.

Nudity comes in different languages? No wonder English people are baffled by it! -
I think this is generally frowned upon unless you are trying to squeeze into a conversation circle. It's kind of a power move unless you are friends on good terms.

Or a sign of getting in your debaucherous kicks before you kick it. Would be disappointing to find out he was earning those freckles by other means...

Disney's hand over SW is now in full force it seems. The magic that was the opening half of TFA will probably not be captured again in this series. Unless JJ really was the secret sauce, maybe we'll an ending which does more than just setup character development, I'm tired of retreading old ground. Also, don't do new ground like TLJ, yeesh.

We want people to procreate, so we want to prevent their sexuality developing unrealistically but we aren't going to encourage people to clear our a demonic den on Mars so I'm not sure Doom is really a problem. Of course there is a right age for everything. -

Oh, clearly something to do with the Joker. Or maybe the Riddler? Well it's Lego Batman anyways. Man... I feel a lot of games these days are going for this sort of color-punk aesthetic. Not that it's bad, but It's definitely one of the first big trends that I've noticed since I've outgrown being the age group that is cynically targeted by big media. -

Sunset Overdrive PC? Read something about that earlier. Also feels like Splatoon. Seems to be WB Interactive though... Maybe they are publishing the PC version of SO? -

It's not like the kid could buy the game without mommy's money. As a parent you don't really want your child feeling ashamed of being introduced to something from their peers, that is taboo to discuss at home. Just don't make a fuss about those things and your child will be busy moving onto the next thing. -

What the ****... My intelligence, historic integrity, and national identity have all been insulted. -
Man, so many great tracks in their first two albums. I love their post-punk stuff before they went full new-wave.

Unless it's based on empirical citation backed by Wayback machine. Of course the issue of impersonation and identity theft are always a thing in this age. Sometimes I just wish the world moved slower, if enforced accountability prevented those from playing loose and fast from setting the world stage then I think that would be an improvement. I wonder if Musk will team up with Thiel to see his vision through? -

I saw this coming as so have abstained from even touch Deadfire for the time being. I'm paying for a game with my money, I don't want to pay extra with my time. I wish Obsidian the best in their pursuit to refine and polish the game. I do think with such complex game systems, a lot of it can only be balanced once you see how things play out. Firaxis pretty much said World Congress from Civ 5 wouldn't make it into Civ 6 until a later expansion because they needed to see how all the game systems played out to even get such a feature right. That makes sense to me. Old games used to have wonky systems all the time that would simply be whatever happened to exist in the code at launch, that would never be fixed or patched. At least in the modern era these things can continue to be refined. -
MBA's were disproportionately the degrees awarded at my recent graduation. Engineering being 4th most common, right behind medical, but engineering sub-divides into like 30 highly different specialties that are in demand. So for any specific (BSE:XX) there were only a hundred or so for each. The 2nd most common were generic Bachelors of Arts & Science (BSA), and I can't help but feel many of those degrees were awarded generically to spare the people the shame of getting such trivial degrees. Trivial in the grand scheme of things, in that they are mostly soft skills of some discipline's orthodoxy rather than any real foundational hard skills. We do need some of this, but I get the feeling that a lot of these people never find employment for their degrees. Chemists were oddly awarded generics Bachelors of Science (BS) degrees. As for the modern tech industry, all of it is really built off of research that comes out of world institutions and universities. Large public sector spending on research. What American capital does is build out the global and consumer infrastructure to deliver all that research at scale. I don't think the market attitudes are as misplaces as some like to make out, although the speculative markets on Wallstreet have no doubt formulated a parasitic relationship off the backs of these industries. The US was always great at inviting the best minds in the world together to tackle immense problems. Further, so much of todays research is produced directly in relation to what this market industry achieves. Tons of research for example relies on empirical analysis of the real practical results that these supply chains produce. Not everything can be done solely in the ivory towers of research. You need these sustained global systems that deliver real results first, before a lot of research can have anything meaningful to be applied to.

I still don't get why that's weird? Should everything be a secret until it's public ready? -

Not weird at all. It's an investors conference, they are reporting an expected dip in profits as they are topping out on units sold. They have to plan there next console ahead of actually having it ready for production and shipping. The industry has a lot of moving parts that need to be in the know, and typically this stuff is reported somewhat publicly, knowing that most consumers will never really clue in to the practical matters of the industry. If you look AMD's CPU/GPU timeline, Fall 2021 makes the most sense to capitalize on new hardware. Though most gaming forums seem filled with people wanting the PS5 earlier and believing it will come any time from this year to Fall 2020. Fall 2021 just makes sense when it comes to rolling out a custom SOC on the next-generation of hardware. Three years is still a lot of life for a system that was released in Fall 2013. -

Yeah, E3 should be good. I just like seeing all the progress and new ideas going on in the industry. My shortlist of interest includes: Cyberpunk 2077 Ghost of Tsushima Death Stranding Dreams From's "Shadows Die Twice" Bethesda's Game (Starfield?) Tim Cain & Leonard Boyarsky's Project Indiana Patrice Désilets' Ancestors: The Human Kind Odyssey Valve's Mystery Hot Sauces Hopefully a few surprises too. I'm kind of interested to see how much of a mess Anthem is. I'll be shocked if it looks on par with what was shown last year, I'm anticipating more battle royale, destiny-clone nonsense. -

You are making a completely irrelevant point. Sex in context = fine. Gratuitous sex = OMG unacceptable! This is a ridiculous distinction—sex is sex—especially considering that the "context" in question is the antics of a psychopathic drug addict and it's placed there for obvious shock value. Because Trevor's life is a totally sensible reflection of real world people and events. But yeah, I get your meaning. GTA is art for connoisseurs who can appreciate its exquisitely deep nuanced satire of something or other, hentai puzzle games are for losers. Ok guy. And by the way, I've never had a single example of such a game pop in my Steam feed. I'm guessing you'd have to go looking for them specifically, much like you used to have to walk into the "adult" area in video rental shops. Opt-outs are fine, of course. I want one for shovelware, though. That **** triggers me like like nobody's business. Quite the knack for extrapolation you have there. The argument was about marketing and perceptions as they are received by portions of the consumer market, that different context are judged differently by different people whether sound or not. It was an example of two different contexts of adult content, pulled straight from something that got a pass and something that didn't. The emphasis was further on outward marketing that would enable consumers to make those judgment calls vs. games where such content is a minor proportion which is not even marketed. Happy trails. -

It's like you are trying to be dense. Adult content placed in a stripper den in the middle of the red light section of a city modeled off of a real city, where vast amounts of the npcs are depicted as everyday goers is somehow not a sensible context for adult content? When it's fleshing out a reflection of the real world? That context is leagues apart from an abstract puzzle game that has dubiously aged anime girls succumbing to a hormonal fit of heat that melts their minds into subservience towards the player, then going on to use such window dressing as you're primary branding to sell what is ultimately a puzzle game. People should have a way of avoiding having such content marketed towards them, whether opt-in or opt-out.
