  1. I don't but you must admitt with most writers learning shakespear at age 12 its kind of hard to undermine his influence and ofcourse I'm not just talking modern writters
  2. and bound to an easy vehicle to advance the plot
  3. Don't kid yourselves the books suck and in no way should factor in to this discussion, and I'm being pretty generous with the word discussion
  4. Ya the oral traditions did become very refined by the time they were written down, but as in the modern tragedy and such are very much attributed to shakespear altough there is no proof who he was and even if he was only one person
  5. You know it kind of has a double meaning
  6. Ya but really there aren't really a whole lot of plots for modern stories, shakespear pretty well covered them all
  7. I just hope there isn't a Leviathon level on the new game, and for that matter any ship names that refer to our mythology
  8. and you never know about his past, he might have eaten a baby or something back when he was young
  9. I can't say that the new trilogy is better then the old because its not. I know most of the people who are saying the prequal is better never had a chance to see the originals in the theaters before they were reintroduced, and never really knew the joy of the first starwars mania. That aside the new movies have less interesting characters and almost no mystique. Also though most of the people who really like them also like the "eu" and believe that because star wars is somewhat "pulp fantasy" that it should be excluded from being judged too harshly
  10. Ya I really liked what Kingsnake suggested, it would be cool to start off and actually building a character from birth would be great, After you decide what you are like then depending on the time period, you could be assigned to watch over a planet or system, maybe work with the Jedi on Coursant, you know basically get missions and you choose where to the adventure.
  11. ya and profits
  12. I think that in some cases the neutral path is best really, if you actually do the forces will without being bound to good or bad conciepts. This seems to be a big part of the first game that the devs wanted you to explore that option, or otherwise they wouldn't have put Jolee in the game
  13. Ya but all rpg games are in one way or another based on pen & paper games. They work on video games because they work on pen & paper.
  14. Ya i think that comes from the idea that some party member will change with you LS/DS
  15. Ya i'm pretty surre though it states in the offical sith manual, that no matter what, heros must be placed in easiely escapable situations, unless a sequal is somehow involved
  16. Ya that'd be a pretty strange relationship
  17. Ya and then some third rate writter wrote a book about it and then some idiot bought it and started declaring it as "eu" man that'd be consistant
  18. Is evil equal opportunity? I would think so, and once a month her dark sith powers would become invincible I just saw the title of the thread, :D
  19. Man, I'm tired of this Leviathon bug crap
  20. ya but not as well as you know, the former sith lord, and 3 other jedis should probaly be guarded, you know maybe being in the same room or something, oh ya and Carth was a war hero who had a personal grudge against the admiral, I'm usually pretty cautious around my archnemesis
  21. Well I think people are still going to prefer Consular, or Guardian, because your a badass one way or another
  22. I just don't see how they could bring back Revan, while only asking their gender and have people satisfied
  23. In KOTOR you were captured by the sith on the Leviathon, and then conveniently not guarded, which inturn allowed you to escape. So whats on tap for the next game, perhaps leaving you in a room dangling above a pool of acid. Maybe left tied to the rail of some sort of space train?
