Considering I haven't played in ages, and that I have ownership/ego issues, I'd want to start from scratch sorry.
Also, while I know DS1 MP is quite fun, is DS2 MP any good? I enjoyed DS2 SP more than DS1 SP, so...
Maybe you should play DS, and then you will see that it is not a diablo clone.
I liked Dungeon Siege, but I don't think you'll get very far arguing that it WASN'T a dungeon crawl (Diablo clone).
Read my sig, I'm here for a few hours, and I already had enough discussing that LOL. Why do you guys consider hack & slash RPGs controlled with the mouse diablo clones? Dungeon Siege is unique in many ways.
Because it's easy to type and everyone knows what Diablo is and how it played.

OK, seriously though, the rate of replacement was a bit too rapid. Slow it down by 50% or 100% so you have some freaking time to appreicate the damn items!
lol dude, people largely enjoyed Dungeon Siege. Diablo clone is meant as a complement.
But to say Dungeon Siege was better than Diablo is going a bit far
Sure (mostly due to NZ though) - but given your laws on Games I'm afraid that we can't allow you to take control of anything!
*cough* NZ my arse!
We're working on the gaming laws, don't worry!
Gfted: What's a UHC? If you say universal healthcare, you're gonna have to source that figure.
I recall my reaction being more like "Oh, great. Another pack of ****ing Cold Wights." IWD certainly had some strong elements, but a lot of the dungeons were padded out with too much same-y grinding. One way in which IWD2 improved on the first one (although it was lacking in other ways) is that it focused more on interesting setpiece battles than just throwing hordes of enemies at the party.
Anyhow, Fighting in Tunnels memory:
My favorite part of BG1 was always the dungeon you go through to escape after your return to Candlekeep. Neat traps and secrets to uncover, and the dopplegangers make for fun opponents.
Hmmm. I adored Dragon's Eye. Awesome.
In fact IWD1 was just awesome in general.
It's also interesting that Scandinavia is always in the top of every good chart.. Maybe we should rule the world? It would apparently be a lot more peaceful
Australasia would give you guys a good run for your money.
Was it D&D style(limited uses per day/rest) or more like an MMO(recharge timer).
More recharge based. You had mana. But you also had near unlimited mana potions, so...
Not the most fun or tactical system around.
I can ask for this to be done, there's a decent chance.
Please do so.
Atm there's 4 peops in stratics with some others that pop in.
We'll stick in stratics for now and just move everyone over to Quakenet (ideal IMHO) or wherever the permanent destination is if we get one (I say this because Will doesn't seem to have control of ChanServ).
It should be easier to multi-class without penalty and with a unique experience. DS2 solved that. Good.
But I still agree that Dungeon Siege's class system is its weakest point. Please replace it Obsidian!
