  2. How could they, linux would get crushed. Thus it would defeat their goal of showing how uber linux is. Yet another ignorant post by Rhomal. Try looking up these 4 characters some time champ: ext4
  3. http://www.news.com.au/story/0,27574,25015424-1242,00.html Oh yaaaaaaaaaay. 38 Celsius here atm. Edit: Actually, better link article here: http://www.digitaljournal.com/article/266683
  4. See, now this is the type of stuff I want to hear. Sounds good.
  5. And no one is saying the PC is not more powerful than a console, I am for example saying that it is not an option for average gamer customer because it is still 200USD more expensive than Xbox 360... try to read whole my posts not only few paragraphs... Find a new computer shop. You're being ripped off.
  6. Starbreeze is a pretty awesome name for a game studio so I'll give them a chance. What's this thread got to do with Alpha Protocol?
  7. This. It's amazing how overblown people can make something like this.
  8. Interestingly, it rivals Britannica in terms of average accuracy per article.
  9. Yeah but you continue this delusion that any of that matters. It doesn't. It doesn't matter whether somebody gets the **** PC or the megabucks superawesome PC since they are both now more powerful than consoles and certainly standardised well enough now (the days of having 6 different graphics card makers are long gone). I concede right now there might be a transition happening w.r.t. to that last lot of people with old generation PCs who have yet to buy a new one that is by default better than any console (like myself, for instance), but that's not a large number, relatively, and crucially it gets smaller every day. Yeah you are bro.
  10. Haha. Well, it has to be when places like South Korea are announcing 1 Gbps connections for all their citizens by 2011 (true story).
  11. I think you need to do some research on current computer technology, bro, and stop relying on what existed when you first started selling computers.
  12. **** you Microsoft. I look forward to your demise even more each day.
  13. The best solution I've found for this problem is to uninstall Vista.
  14. Basically any time taks gets into an argument (which is fairly often, since he doesn't believe he's ever wrong), 2 things happen: 1) He blindly calls your argument a straw man 2) He calls you an idiot for disagreeing with him
  15. Yeah! There's a difference between having open, flexible file formats and standards and releasing actual modding tools! At the very least Obsid can do the first. Please?
  16. [sarcasam] All you nee to do now, is realise why Python isn't really worthwhile for games . [/sarcasam] I don't know why you posted that but I'll bite: Python's great for games - from Bloodlines, Freedom Force, ToEE, etc using it for scripting and modding to FIFE's flexible C++/Python synergy and the superb rapid development capabilities of PyGame and Python-Ogre or Panda3D. It's gravy that you can bring Python performance as arbitrarily close to C performance as you require (assuming it isn't already). And it's spelt 'sarcasm'.
  17. Then go back and read the thread. There are real, tangible reasons why what's good for the PC can be what's bad for consoles (though obviously right now that's not true). Though I agree, it's not simply a zero sum game.
  18. then why did you bring it up when i never said anything about ex-post facto laws nor does it have anything to do with this situation? either you don't understand the terms as well as you think, or you don't understand what i said. and no, it's not "part of a larger" anything. ex-post facto is an entirely different argument, completely unrelated to blago's complaint. taks
  19. You guys got pwned. We've been experiencing a consistently 'pleasant' 35 Celsius each day here, although it'll supposedly be in the 40's on the weekend. At least it gets to the low twenties at night and I can finally open my window.
  20. Because we will code with our keyboards of magic instead!
  21. Worst pun ever. I actually thought it was quite punny.
  22. It's far harder to regulate a brothel when it's in python, which is the sovereignty of the more decent boy bands.
  23. You're not really making sense, Mamoulian War.
