And the awesome thing is this game will run on my Mac! Along with Warcraft 3, Diablo 1, and Diablo 2. **** I love Blizzard. Now if only they'd release their internal Linux builds of these games I'd be pretty much in heaven.

D3 has been on the board for at least a year now. This is its third year in production. I'm expecting it to come out 2010 or early 2011 at the very latest.

I generally hate prequels and BSG seasons 3 and 4 left me feeling apathetic to the BSG universe so meh.

He just does that because he cares, he finds it hard to show affection so treats me like that. You're just jealous because squid-face hates you. You see, this is what I was after, I now feel all warm and snuggly inside, and also old. But that's nothing new anyway. Take note Krezack, don't always have to be like that, it's ok to be nice occasionally. You will die at the ripe old age of 84, alone, smelling of cat urine. See, I can be nice.

Nevermind. My friend just suggested the pretty obvious solution of using a) command line over SSH, or b) running X server over SSH and accessing the entire visual desktop from another PC.

Ahhh, I just found this for you Gorgon: http://www.linuxfoundation.org/en/OpenPrinting It explains printer compatibility on Linux. Some printers use Windows APIs which obviously means they won't work on Mac or Linux. The more reliable ones are unlikely to do this, however. Edit: it's got a searchable printer database, Linux drivers, installation instructions, etc.

Where? SHOW ME!!! I only just saw these.

I don't understand how he can so easily and callously conflate millions of innocent and impoverished Somalians with a couple of hundred ruthless Somalian pirates and wish death upon them all equally as if they were pests stealing his cattle.

One more for the road: Oh god, I am so choosing her as my first char. I actually rarely played sorc in D2, but this chick is so much better. The mirror image spell (split into 6) seems especially awesome if it can be combined with a melee augmentation skill/spell like, say, enchant or something. So we kill all the pirates until there are no Somalians left alive? And here I thought economic and developmental aid was the path to victory. My bad! You don't aid the enemy. If they do not wish to be enemies then aid can come, but if they act as thugs, criminals, and terrorists then they should be treated as such. Please tell me you are trolling.

Here's a hint: It has absolutely no ****ing meaning at all. It's just a dream.

Hmm. What printer is it? Normally Ubuntu detects it by default (plug and play), but otherwise there's likely a Linux version of the driver you can find. You can usually also use a driver for another printer and it'll probably work (a trick I learnt from Windows 95). Never count on that! Samm, you have to realise that not everybody has the same protection requirements as you. I don't have anything important on my machines that's not backed-up on external HD's, and I certainly don't have anything on my computers a hacker might find worth stealing from me. Most people I've met are the same; their main priority is avoiding performance slow-down from spyware and having their comp hijacked by ads. Things which anti-virus software is hopeless at handling anyway. Further, I generally format every year or so (which any sane person should) when every second Ubuntu distro comes, which tends to put a kink in a botnet's plans. As I said, your mileage may vary.

Between reading that, and watching Cheech and Chong, I have the biggest craving.

Uh oh, they just became terrorists.

One of my sources at Sega explained that the game is a crate-based FPS RPG set in a universe licensed from Valve (presumably the Half-Life universe). I cannot stress enough how much of an awesome decision this is Obsidz! You guys ****ing rock.

Just checked and both Opera and Transmission will download a torrent without spawning confirm dialogue boxes, and both will add new torrents to the queue if they're already running. Unfortunately, however, if I use the command line terminal to open them (e.g. "transmission test.torrent"), the terminal will get stuck at that line until transmission closes. I have little experience with bash scripts, but wouldn't they suffer the same problem? Whilst in Python I simply have no idea how to make it execute other programmes.

The fascist dictators of this forum are trying to silence our voices. Let us unite and overthrow their iron-fisted hegemony my crate-loving comrades!

Since this forum has a bunch of rather cluey folks on it, I figured I'd pop the question here. Namely, how would one go about trigger torrents to download on a computer remotely (i.e. from another computer over the Internet)? I am reasonably skilled with PHP, SQL, JavaScript, Python, and can pick up bash quickly if needed. My computers both run Ubuntu Linux (8.04 and soon 9.04) but ideally the computer triggering the download remotely should be able to be running any OS. I was thinking of hosting some sort of FTP server at the computer doing the torrenting. Then I'd upload torrent hash files to a certain folder on that computer, and it would periodically check for new torrents, and if detected, download them. I imagine the last part is where bash or Python comes in handy? Problems may arise with dialogue boxes that require a response, however? Any ideas?

Because Libertarians champion individual rights (such as the 'right' not to be taxed) over universally high levels of human rights. Taks only supports those 'rights' that benefit him, bugger anybody else, and bugger anybody's else's rights which get in the way of his! To somebody like taks, universal healthcare is an evil because everybody is required to give a small portion of their income to ensure all people in society are better off, healthy enough to be able to exercise their own individual rights, and healthy enough to be productive members of society. Similarly, universal welfare is an "evil" for the same reason: the thought that taks might have to give up a portion of his income so his fellow Americans have a roof over their heads and food in their mouths is vile to him. Rational is the last thing objectionists are.

I'm not talking about conspiracy theorists. More and more people with first hand experience of what's going on are coming out and talking about their lives. Especially after 9/11. Check out John Perkins and Aaron Russo to start with. Heck, even the Rothschilds and Rockefellers themselves partially admit that they're into coercive population control (basically; genocide) in Africa through messing with water management etc. They like to think of themselves as humanitarians, regulating the population of the world for the benefit of mankind. Of course, if you wanna stick your head in the sand.. If you move your eyes away from cnn.com for just a second and dare to try something new, you can start by checking out sites like this: Thursday 25 January 2007 by Wanjohi Kabukuru (a Nairobi-based freelance journalist), http://www.alterinter.org/ "Four US oil companies, namely Conoco, Chevron, Amoco and Philips have concessions in nearly two thirds of Somalia. This quartet of oil conglomerates was granted these contracts in the final days of Somalia

Hmm. What does that remind me of? Oh yeah! Libertarianism. As someone who would most likely identify himself as a Libertarian, I'm a bit surprised by this comment. In terms of civil rights and social traditions I'm libertarian, but economically I'm centrist (namely I support universal healthcare and welfare to provide safety nets within capitalism, which Libertarians like taks find abhorrent). I also support military intervention to remove dictators and spread democracy, which is not a very Libertarian policy.
