  1. Anybody know about any good strategy games coming out? Or that have come out in the past 2 years?
  2. Absolutely true! Um, except a Fallout game with complex quests and dialogue, no randomly generated areas, set in a wild west casino town, has absolutely nothing to do with Stalker. Oh and did you get the memo? Stalker didn't invent the FPS-RPG hybrid genre.
  3. Can I suggest you make a post about this on the Ubuntu forums? I guarantee the Danish dictionary is meant to work in the English version of OO. Somebody more knowledgeable than me (and probably even Danish) should certainly be able to help you.
  4. That's not true. Bethesda said "make an educated guess" to journalists who probably know little about Obsidian. That leads me to believe it'll use the existing engine of Fallout 3.
  5. A quarter as good as I'll feel when it actually ships. You twittered about Obsidian picking up Fallout the same day the articles about Aliens being canned started coming out. Now clearly you weren't happy with ditching Aliens, but that's really weird timing. Did the guys at Bethesda hear about the death of Aliens and think it was a perfect time to pitch Fallout to you, or did Bethesda pitching Fallout to you cause the death of Aliens? Somehow I can't imagine it was the latter.
  6. I blame Fallout. Now pay your respects or get out!
  7. I don't think so. I can't directly contradict you, but that's not the impression I got from reading any of the news articles.
  8. Fallout movie? Ew. Fallout TV series? Could work, but it'd need to be by some artsy weirdo like Whedon rather than some hack trying to milk a cash cow.
  9. I think I've heard of that one. I had a different test. I stood on metal 'scales' with bare feet and the scales sent an electrical current through me and showed up a number like normal digital weight scales. It was 7%. Description Women Men Essential fat 10
  10. Rule number one for using Ubuntu: If more than 10 people use it, it's in the package manager. But I don't think we even need to go there, as Open Office comes installed by default and within it you should be able to simply switch languages: http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/for...hp?f=6&t=69 For reference, though, um, I dunno. Just extracting it all to a directory and then running the programme would work but it's rather messy compared to the package manager. Always avoid it unless it's a last resort.
  11. Well, to say FO3 was complete fail is to say Morrowind, Oblivion, etc. were complete fail as RPGs. I see nothing inconsistent about such an observation?
  12. "Not much more to add. The BBC is reporting that 'Stephen Hawking is "very ill" in hospital.' He has had a few health scares before, and as a post-graduate he was told he didn't have much longer to live; he's now 67."" http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/8008767.stm I hope he doesn't leave us yet. He's one of the last remaining bastions of the notion of the individual genius.
  13. I hope it is because I want to visit the secret army base and pick up Skynet again. Please.
  14. I second this emotion.
  15. It'sa not new for me.
  16. Correct. And why not? Fallout + Black Obsidian = Epic (not Megagames). Get it? Got it? Good. Ok, just making sure I was on the right page. With everyone slathering up the joint I couldnt help but feel like I was missing some between-the-lines information instead of just a vague notification of a game being made in the future. Personally, I was more extited about the possibilitu of a new IP and not a different spin on the same stuff released less then a year ago and still receiving DLC. Im sure it will be "much different" and exactly what FO3 was "supposed to be". If it's any consolation, Obsidian is still working on 1 or 2 other projects we don't know about.
  17. Zoma, if it's true that Alpha Protocol comes out in a few months (and I have no reason to doubt you), then your comment that Chris won't be working on Fallout because he's working on AP does not make sense.
  18. Correct. And why not? Fallout + Black Obsidian = Epic (not Megagames). Get it? Got it? Good.
  19. When Aliens was cancelled, Feargus said they were working on a few projects. More time for speculation Feargus actually said Aliens was cancelled? Well ****.
  20. Am I the only one wondering what else Obsidian is working on? Both Alpha Protocol and Fallout will have been released by the end of 2010 leaving them with no projects to work on. There's no way that's true. They've got something else. And I don't think it's a NWN2 x-pack because that's yet another 12-18 month thing. Maybe Aliens isn't dead after all?
  21. I'm sure it will, good sir. Fallout and crates are a natural fit. I expect a warehouse - no, a church - full of crates. And inside each crate will be a shipment of crowbars. Surplus intended for Vault 13.
  22. Also, will this game have crates?
  23. Will this game have crates?
  24. From this article in the Times newspaper (UK).
