Amateur Game Assets
Oh well, thanks guys. I just got into a game programming degree (my first preference was environmental chemistry, but oh well). Maybe I'll pick up some talented friends there.

Will Obsidian ever do something like DA, too ?

Man refuses to drive 'No God' bus
I'm disappointed in how quickly you jump to conclusions. "This crap" you refer to is the fact that every President since FDR has added the words "so help me god" to the oath they swear on the Bible; where previously it was a strictly optional commodity, it has become a de facto standard response at inauguration. Still, surely you picked up on my facetious tone when I referred to it as a 'flagrant violation of separation of church and state', or the strange anecdote about racial oppression following it? If not, I suppose I can't fault you too much, the Internet being a largely monotone communication medium and all.

Lets debate gay marriage
I only care in the first place because gays are treated differently under the law. I mean if institutional racism still existed, I don't think you'd be calling it a non-issue. All the religious nutjobs are really just there for laughs. The main issues is generating equality (whether they like it or not). So why do you say equality is nonense, Kaftan? Suppose black people weren't allowed to all the entitlements of a married couple because they weren't allowed to marry?

Man refuses to drive 'No God' bus
It's quite possible. Swearing the oath on the Bible was actually introduced in the 1950's, I believe. A flagrant violation of separation of church and state, but nobody did anything about it because they were too busy preventing black people from eating at the same restaurants as white people. Where can i find this law concerning the bible under oath? Or is it just tradition/policy? It's a recent 'tradition' which Obama continued. I guess if he'd have done otherwise, he would've been accused of being a closet Muslim/socialist even more, so can't blame the old chap too much.

President Obama
The draft is a silly idea and the House Rep proposing it is as silly as that Republican one who wants to fine all authors $5000 each time they swear in their books. Guard Dog's inability to distinguish between an individual Senator and his party is amusing. What is also amusing is that this Charles Rangel fellow tried to introduce the draft back in 2003, but was DENIED. He claims a draft would make the government think twice about going to war next time. It's an interesting idea, but I think simply getting rid of Bush is enough on that front. Also, news flash, Guard Dog: this isn't some Democrat plot against the Republicans. Rangel introduced it in 2003 and 2006 (the current one). In 2003, the House voted against it 402 against, 2 for. taks: Oh, well in that case, bring on 'socialism'. What are you going to call a centrally planned economy with no free market now, though? Aha, you didn't think that through very well.

GURPs
They aren't going to use GURPS for the same reason they switched from GURPS to SPECIAL in Fallout: licensing and restrictions.

Composer?
Got examples? Would you say Deus Ex had an electronic edge and Fallout an acoustic one...? What was Icewind Dale?

Man refuses to drive 'No God' bus
Fanataics should scare everyone. I've seen some pretty scary fanatical Libertarians recently. Thumping on about how government regulation is the cause of all the World's ills, and should be ruthlessly stamped out...

President Obama
I love Obama. I mean he's obviously a great bloke and will make an awesome president for the next 8 years and all that typical jazz. But what I really like about him is how people like taks and Guard Dog almost pop an artery every time he's mentioned.

So it's... something else!. Well, that's not very helpful. Well it doesn't rule out something divine, much as that would probably piss me off. I don't think they'll do that, though; it's literally a deus ex machina, which doesn't fly too well in a show about what it means to be human. But so far, Cavill looks like a generic bad guy. I wonder how they'll play that. I dunno, it seems far too black and white for Mr. Moore. Although the show does need to be wrapped up so maybe past style is no longer an indicator. No, by 'something else' I meant Cylons/humans from the past, or their relatives. What exactly were the Lords of Kobol? It seems like only one of them was a Cylon, so does that mean the rest were just normal humans? I'm just taking it as it comes. I forget most of BSG, so I am not as worked up about it as Kaftan.

It's not going to be aliens (as in little green men), and the humans aren't secretly all Cylons.

Also, from previous episodes, the 13th (cylon) tribe left Kobol 3,600 years ago. The 12 human tribes left Kobol 2,000 years ago. Cylon Earth was destroyed 2,000 years ago. Not a coincidence. The 13th tribe left Kobol because they believed in a monotheistic god, while the humans believed in the Lords of Kobol (polytheism), and apparently the god Athena killed herself because of the humans leaving/being exiled from Kobol. Ellen would also appear to be the leader of the Cylons. And she also seems to have more knowledge than the other Five (she knew she'd be reborn when Cylon Earth was being nuked presumably by the humans).

- If you had to leave right now, what would you take?
If you had to leave your house right now, what would you take? You have access to your bank accounts and such. You just can't come back, and you're not sure you'll have a place to stay. This is a serious thread. Please give it some thought.- EA Closes One BioWare/Pandemic Studio
Doesn't WoW make something like $100 million each month? Or was it only $10 million? Well they've got about 10 million active players. Say it costs $10 a month. $10*10 million = $100 million a month. Not bad, Blizzard. So EA/Bioware would want to make $33 million a month to pay it off in two years. You could do that 2 to 4 million subscribers. They don't need to beat WoW, or even match it.- Jagged Alliance 2
I didn't end up finishing this; my computer crashed shortly after. I'll have to give it another go soon. I quite enjoyed it.- Planescape's 10 year anniversary...
She'd only accept it if there was a fade-to-black once you got sufficiently intimate. None of this flirtation without sex garbage; Raven wants deep and meaningful relationships with her virtual pals like Aerie. And if she doesn't hear an NPC whine about how you don't pay enough attention to them, then how can she honestly speak highly of the game?- Man refuses to drive 'No God' bus
It preys not on atheists, but on the weak-minded, hopeless, and depressed. Look at Scientology for an amplified example of this cult-like tactic in action, As a human I feel a need to fight such behaviour, even if it doesn't harm me directly. It's a fool that thinks I gave up morals along with religion. Note: I'm clearly not talking about religious folk in general, rather the evangelical types that try to convince others they'll burn in hell for not worshiping god.- Man refuses to drive 'No God' bus
