  1. Absolutely! I expect it will be, but I tend to prefer the non-elemental myself.
  2. Every class needs a sub-class based around sailing the high seas, imho. Honestly, I love you're idea, except that I hope for more than 2 factions.
  3. Pretty much the same. Why spend half (or more) of their budget on VO when they can focus on more gameplay options? I'll take the current stretch goal, more c&c, deeper companion interaction, etc over VO a million times over.
  4. http://jesawyer.tumblr.com/post/156448088931/so-weve-got-obsidians-biggest-grognard-as-lead It seems an easier way to stop afflictions is coming, and some elemental magic can neutralize other kinds of damage. will we be able to set Slicken locations on fire? Cover enemies in water and freeze them? Or is this just for afflictions, and their removal.
  5. I get it.. something like Rogue => Assassin? Wizard => Archmage? That sounds great to my ears!. This feature were in old school RPG games like Might & Magic. Yup, just like that. Or a Druid that has a focus on Spiritshift, or a Battle Priest.
  6. I like this stretch goal! Sub-Classes are awesome! Looking forward to today's update. Yes, I expect one.
  7. I think it may have increased for a while when Shandra Jerro joined you. You're right, I believe. It wasn't for very long, though. She became a normal companion for a bit after that iirc.
  8. NWN2 had a party size of 4. The PC and 3 companions.
  9. No problem. Just FYI, I did it post pledge. So don't let not having the discount stop you. It's an add-on for negative $5.00.
  10. Did you double check your spam mail, junk mail, deleted mail, etc. I got my email straight from obsidian.
  11. Follow the link from the email. Scroll down. It's on the "your pledge" page down at the bottom with the add-ons.
  12. Below your pledge there should be an icon for the discount. Just scroll down on the page.
  13. No idea. It jumped around 150k in less than an hour though.
  14. I don't know if he's a lead, but he is definitely involved. I saw Sawyer post that Kaz was involved on his tumblr.
  15. Me too. Which is why I'm admittedly overeager for it to hit it's goal asap. At its current pace I expect it will be funded in about 10-12 hours. Edit: then it goes and jumps like 70k in 25-30 mins to 850k. If Europe pulls some numbers now that they are waking up we might see some stretch goals today.
  16. I hope we have plenty of companions to leave behind. That makes the next playthrough (or next few) more interesting.
  17. Although, you're probably right and they handwavium it away. There were a lot of requests for sheathing/holstering your weapons. If they include that it would make the animation easier.
  18. A lot of pirates tied their weapons (usually a small handful) around their neck, and dropped them after firing. Could be a similar thing where they let one go, reload, drop, grab other pistol reload, etc. However, typically pirates would move to their melee weapon after firing all their guns.
  19. I think so. I wonder how they will balance that. Pistols were in an odd place in the first game. Short range, didn't do as much damage as the arquebuss, etc. This might be their way to balance it. Along with damage tweaks, of course. They might also be easier on reload time than the other guns.
  20. Yeah, I just wanted more of a confirmation than the venturebeat article. http://jesawyer.tumblr.com/post/156419783766/hallo-josh-es-wird-gemunkelt-das-f%C3%BCr-deadfire It's in German, but it's there.
  21. On the Fig comments section someone said Sawyer has confirmed the 5 man party. I haven't seen it personally. He probably did it on the something awful forums.
  22. I think a lot of people, which funded the original KS, that were expecting an Infinity Engine game will pass this time around. I'm still of an opinion that Obsidian bait n' switched with the original KS. I understand that, but then again... A lot of new people picked the game up on release and enjoyed it. Many of those people weren't beholden to preconceptions about the IE games. They could fill that void. I hedged my bets on how good the first game would be, and was content. Not ecstatic, but content. The White March content was great, though. As an avid fan of the IE games, I'm more than willing to fund this. As they aren't starting from scratch again, I expect a better experience.
