  1. As always greed? Its a best-selling book, if he wins he can collect a pay check... That or those alleged remarks closed doors for him, which he needs to be open. As I understand it, he filed the lawsuit while Kyle was still alive; death doesn't stop a lawsuit, it just means a loss would effect the estate. And he won http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/checkpoint/wp/2014/07/30/jesse-ventura-vs-chris-kyle-a-case-where-no-one-won/ Edit - Question for the more legal minded among us. Can he refuse to collect the settlement or give it back or do something so that the estate keeps it? He can choose to do with the settlement money whatever he wishes, just like any other sum of money he might have. It's very unlikely he would not collect, as he has bills to pay.
  2. You've already made clear again and again your willful ignorance of just about every issue out there Bruce. You might enjoy hunting for sandworms head first, but not everyone does. If ever your voracious appetite for annelids subsides and you wish instead to learn something of import about the subject at hand or anything else, this video and others are there to be watched. There's also a plethora of history books out there. But actually learning things of substance, takes some time. An hour is too much I guess for you, and that's not even a lot. And there is only one truth, it's called reality.
  3. If you look at that list of nations, the abstains pretty much represent those thoroughly under the UK/EU/US banking cartel's thumb, the 'yes' votes pretty much represent those nations who would be free of that oppression if they could, and then you have the U.S..... what a disgusting disgrace that vote.
  4. I used to do that. Until I woke up one morning with a number of bites, that turned out to be highly poisonous that could have killed me. Now I kill most of them on sight. Squashing works quite well though, a flamethrower is a bit excessive.
  5. I foresee myself linking this video next time I have to ask some forum poster to use paragraphs and punctuation. Excellent song and video. Also:
  6. Good chance we'll never know for certain. It was possibly just random house chosen, but more likely someone specific Israel wanted dead was believed to be in that house. Either way, evil at work.
  7. Wise men don't speak to things when they don't know what they are talking about. They listen and seek to learn. A prerequisite to being wise is knowing your intellectual and knowledge limits, yet not assuming others share your limits.
  8. Understatement of the thread.
  9. This video, even more than other juicemedia videos, is worth watching more than once. Their videos are generally genius, but this one is pure genius. Raise your slave flag to the sky!
  10. Ear and Eye Candy:
  11. Can't listen to that without then listening to this!
  12. Ah yes, independent rule would be horrible. Are you evil? The worst end result, and the most probable unless the EU is largely voluntarily dismantled by members via them leaving it is this: The EU continues as it is, becoming an ever increasing fascist socialist state run by a parasitic ruling elite that leeches the lifeblood from the various economies in Europe and enslaves the populace in debt, and then once the tyranny reaches heretofore unseen yet inevitable levels, collapses in revolution and war. Not everyone is severely brainwashed into thinking the EU is a good thing, that nationalism is a bad thing, that people who oppose the former but support the latter are racist, or certainly that the independent self governing by any group of people is a bad thing. Check your reality sensors, as usual, they're a bit off Bruce, but actually implying that independent rule would be 'an egregious mistake' is a new low for you (or high for you on the evil meter).
  13. for years we would hear a studio release from the dead and wonder what all those drugged-out hippies were smoking to make'em believe the dead were good, much less great. nevertheless, we happened to see 'em during the period bruce hornsby were touring with the dead, and we were kinda shocked by how much better they were in concert than on the radio. is still not a favorite band for Gromnir, but after we saw 'em, we kinda get it. HA! Good Fun! Indeed. When I was younger I didn't get it much either. Until I saw Nirvana (who I loved) in concert, and they sucked, bad. And then some bands who I never thought were good on album blow my mind on stage. Many of the very best live bands aren't all that great (or are at least not near as great) as their studio releases. And many bands that sound great on a studio album, suck all kinds of suck when they're on stage. I have favorite bands in both categories, but having seen a few hundred live performances, the bands from the first are far more talented in my opinion, I can't help but have so much more respect for them than studio bands. There are of course some bands that are great in both the studio and live, they are rare, but I'll still take their live performances over their studio any day. Here's one of them: The best bands rock it live!
  14. Excellent performance that! Hard to believe it's been near 20 years. I'll see your Water and raise you ...

  16. Smooth finally did it!
  17. There will be something seriously not right and very unStarWarsy when the 20th Century Fox fanfare doesn't precede the opening roll of Star Wars episode VII.
  18. There's a couple possibilities, the DVD non-anamorphic DVD releases from a few years back or one of the various fanmade despecialized editions floating around. Tale is correct. Some time ago, I bought the 2-disc dvd set of the original trilogy. 6 dvd set in all. There was the special edition on one disc and the original theatrical released on the second disc. The disappointing thing to this set was although the original movies were widescreen, they weren't 16x9 enhanced. But at least I have them on dvd. I have no doubt the original negatives exist and they could restore and do an original theatrical release version on Blu-ray. Hopefully, Lucas doesn't have as much influence as he used to. I'd wager a lot that if the originals were released in Blu-Ray quality that they'd outsell all of the special 'enhanced' editions. Lucas doesn't want to admit he done f****d up when he messed with the original trilogy I don't think. Will Disney release them? Considering the giant treasure trove of films and cartoons they were already sitting on before they acquired Lucasfilm and don't release I think it's very doubtful, but we can hope.
