  1. Is the interview posted anywhere? I'd love to read/watch it. In related news, i seems that Adrian is in the Zeitgeist this week. Someone posted this earlier today on another music forum I follow. This is the first proshot I've been able to find of Jerry Harrison & Adrian Belew's Remain in Light set. fresh from this last weekend's Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival in San Francisco. This is a phenomenally fun set imo. I ended up taking a long lunch and danced my ass off (working from home has it's benefits). Happy Friday!!
  2. Thanks. My thoughts on Russia v. Ukraine will take me more time than I have at the moment to flesh out for you, and I don't think it's as simple as picking a side as there are many players in this, and I'm sure my view of the power players in this are different than yours and the majority. What's happening in the region of Ukraine is a small part of a much larger war, that started awhile back. Though it is currently one of the focal points of that war. But yes. Russia is winning the conflict in Ukraine. They certainly won the first major phase of the hot part of the conflict in Ukraine. The second major phase is likely still some weeks away, as Russia mobilizes for potential full on war and waits to see just how far the 'leadership' of the US/EU/NATO is going to push all of this. Russia is falling back at the moment for a reason. It's a very smart play. Moreover, they aren't losing anything of real consequence. Mostly just a bunch of small villages that happen to have a majority of Ukranian people in them (vs. a majority Russian, which is what comprises most of the territory they are in the process of officially annexing). I realize that many won't see this, but for anyone who well versed in the politics/history of the region, the players, and war strategy/tactics, Russia has played this game very well. Masterfully even, given what they have been up against. The foreign/billionaie owned media that often lies to everyone and have effectively made themselves the enemies of truth and freedom loving people the world over... well, they certainly won't paint a remotely accurate picture for you. They would have you live in upside down world and enslave you. In fact if you are 'cheering for Ukraine' you are unwittingly (unless you are one of the Evils behind this poo) cheering on the destruction of the people of the US and the people of the nations that NATO/EU are supposed to be representing. Anyways.. I've never had 'anti-western' sentiment Bruce. I'm generally very very much for western culture, truth, the principles of individual liberty, and what was fought for by the founders of the USA. However, supporting these things, puts me at odds with the ruling class of Evils who have hijacked the federal government of the United States, many of the governments of Europe, pretty much every institution I've ever seen you hold in high esteem, among other things. Respectfully, anyone who uses the term 'conspiracy theories' as any kind of dismissive or pejorative is frankly not thinking enough, and/or falling for a masterful trick designed to get you to not think and to dismiss those that would who present you with any ideas/concepts/facts/etc outside of the box that the good little slaves are supposed to stay 'thinking' in. Which is exactly what the treasonous Evils who are in the process of destroying 'the west' from within want you to do. I will write more on Ukraine v. Russia in the coming days, to more fully answer your and Lexx's question, as well as flesh out a bit more what I am saying here. In the meantime, I implore you to stop consuming the 'news' unless it's primary source material, look at some maps (current and historical), and think. Doing that alone drives no small stake into the heart of the BS that the foreign/billionaire owned 'mainstream media' has generally been telling people. I hope you've been well!
  3. I had the pleasure of seeing King Crimson last year. Great show!! I also had the opportunity to see Adrian Belew (who's lead guitar here) with Jerry Harrison cover the Talking Heads album 'Remain in the Light' with the band Turkuaz. Beyond phenomenal show and definitely one of the best sets I've ever seen (blew David Byrne's show (which I saw in 2018) out of the water). If you have the opportunity to see Adrian, go see him! Especially if you can do it when he's playing with Jerry Harrison. They're still occasionally covering this album. Full concert: https://archive.org/details/turkuaz2021-07-03.travitz.litz.schoepsCMC64v.flac16
  4. I listened to it up until the point where he said "Russia is in the middle of a war that they are losing". Until then I had an eyebrow raised, thinking he was probably off the mark but maybe he's got something valuable to say. Saying that he proves he sees the world upside down, or is an Evil who is purposefully spreading lies to convince others to see the world upside down. Sadly, many fall for this. That said, I don't know who did it, but I'd bet a sizable amount of money it was at least sponsored by the Evils who run DC/EU/NATO. Cui bono in spades there.
  5. One of the highlights of last summer's tour, Runaway Jim (or Jimalope to some) as it's been dubbed is a threading of Runaway Jim → Run Like An Antelope → Runaway Jim → Run Like An Antelope → Makisupa Policeman → Run Like An Antelope with references to Thread thrown in. One need not be a Phish fan to appreciate the music, but if one is already familiar with these tunes you know this is one hell of a plate of exceptional awesomesauce. Thread, a song played only twice before this show, preceded Runaway Jim in what was already one hell of a second set. One can only hope that future Thread performances will mean similar awesomesauce is soon to be served. Unusually and fortunately, Phish has kept this whole show available, and it can be seen here.
  6. Caught up on the latest season of Better Call Saul today, then went on a Breaking Bad wiki adventure, which naturally culminated in this video....
  7. After 13 nights and 236 songs Phish began their final encore of the Bakers Dozen with an emotional rendition of... In 5 more days.... Summer Tour 2018 begins, hence LazyLightning55a's apropros post of the above today. I'm flying out tomorrow for the opener in Tahoe myself. If you know them, and you're even remotely on the fence about seeing them, do it. If you don't know them... well... I wish Phish upon you all.
  8. Suicide aside, one hell of a lot of people constantly engage in fooling themselves.... Fooling oneself is a prerequisite for delusion, cognitive dissonance, sociopathy, hubris, and more....
  9. Pop some psycotropics on a regular basis and that will change. Also, you're more grounded than most. A factor in a good number of suicides is one's imagined world crashing into reality in such an unpleasant way one doesn't want to deal with reality. That said, people kill themselves for a variety of reasons, 'depression' isn't the only one.
  10. Hey.. I've been to the Nevada desert too.... lots of people have.
  11. The opening: The closing: Two iconic songs many know that bookend a movie that these days many of those many haven't seen. Enjoy!
  12. Good to know. I couldn't get through Episode 1 of the new season. The overarching story has gone to 100% pure poo, but I loved the one offs last seasons.
  13. One of these? Grab yourself a good VPN if you can't see either of these video. and #@)*$ YouTube and the various record/movie companies that play the 'you can't see this in your country' game.
  14. Do you have the rise of the perpetually offended without the rise of celebrities posting self-important garbage on social media? Probably not, as the shallow thinking perpetually offended tend to look up to celebrities. We didn't get here without some propaganda leading us here, and celebrities are oft a favorite tool of those who would mold the minds of the masses.
  15. Knee jerk reacting morons, and Disney being Disney's usually evil self. That said, the show has a high chance of being picked up by another network, if enough of the key cast members are still on board. I'd wager all but possibly Sarah Gilbert or even Rosanne herself are. And that said.... holy smokes are we living in a poop laden world when someone's tweet (no matter how distasteful (a subjective thing)) gets a very successful TV show cancelled ~24 hours later. The increasing chilling on speech and the continuous rise of perpetually offended is going to yield uglier and uglier things should it continue. Unfortunately it seems like we're still pushing that petal ever closer to the metal as a society. The cliffs be yonder!!
  16. I wouldn't say guts. There's no bravery involved here. It's not an even remotely grey issue. More like pure ignorance or just being plain evil.
