Well, imo, nobody in the world can roll up on another countries borders and claim ignorance or surprise at not being admitted without proper procedures. And "ignorantia juris non excusat", at least here in the US.

Agreed, the children become collateral damage. But why is that an "acceptable part of society" while the illegal immigrant situation is not?

So how does everyone feel about children that are put into foster case due to their (citizen) parents being incarcerated?

Im not following. In both examples the minor child is just a hapless pawn going along with their parents. Good thing people aren't losing the capacity for rational thought: "Do you hear babies crying". "Rip Barron from her arms".

Are you cherry picking which laws to enforce the same way you cherry pick which discrimination is important?

The wiki definition of "asylum seeker" seems pretty loosey goosey. Wouldn't 100% of illegal immigrants claim that status?

I don't know how they could be. The same thing happens in our criminal justice system even for citizens. Both parents get jailed for a crime, with nobody else to take the kids(s)? Into the foster system with them.

Pope Francis Slams Trump’s Family Separation Policy As ‘Immoral’. So I don't understand all the crocodile tears wrt these separations. These people are committing a crime, right? If Jack and Diane shoot a man while robbing his castle, and they have little Sally strapped into the back seat of the get away car, should Sally go to jail with her parents? Should the parents be let go because Sally is in the car? Whats supposed to happen to these minors, iyo?

I had to look Juneteenth up. I wonder why its focused specifically on Texas. Does each of the ex slave states have a unique independence day?

People excommunicated by Methodist churches. Seriously, all I just did was type into Google; "Methodist excommunication".

Methodists Bring Church Charges Against Jeff Sessions For Border Policy. Golly, I hope he doesn't get excommunicated! Bahahahahaha...

"Obtuse", lol oh lordy. Aside, Ive never once based my decision to go see a movie based on the gender or race of the characters. Weird.

With the exchange rate in Mexico being 20-1, I dug deep into my pocket and purchase a pair of Oakley sunglasses for 250 peso ($12 US) while I was on vacation. They are totally not a knockoff.

Finally a break in the heat! The last three days have been 90+ (32C) but some sweet sweet rain is blowing through and the temp has already dropped to 75, on its way to the 60's. Rest of the week looks 70's too.

I suppose it can be interpreted that way. DOOM just so happens to be the topic that was brought up. I'm not bothered by the specifics (sex/race/color/etc.) but more the fact that, imo, you don't have to tear one thing down to build another thing up. What, are we out of superpowers or something? Why wouldn't they develop a whole new character instead?

Well because later it got changed back/to something else? I assume you are referring to Chilloutman link? I didn't watch it so I will concede that but nobody in this thread is losing their bleep. I also didn't watch Gods of Egypt but I feel comfortable that its historical relevance is exactly the same as a super hero movie. Whos even arguing that minorities are "taking the jobs"? That link Im referencing above?

Hmm, this "misunderstanding" seems familiar...who does it remind me of... Anyway, lets move on. Ive been advocating that "new stuff" doesn't have to destroy the canon "old stuff", which seems to garner a collective shrug from people. You provide an example of a movie that was "whitewashed" and I responded with an article about how it was savaged by the public. Do you see the duplicity in public opinion?

ICE won't be a fan of that. Hmm, that makes me wonder, do you have to be a citizen to join the US military? If not, it should reward people with citizenship. Id totally accept a program that turned 4 or more years of service into citizenship. EDIT: Google to the rescue!

A bit STARSHIP TROOPER, innit? Marine Corps will need their own though. Service guarantees citizenship.
