Its one of humanities fatal flaws. Weve been trying to dictate to one another since we crawled out of the surf. Seriously though, its just another coping mechanism like alcohol / drugs / religion. It makes people feel "good".

Ive been debating with myself for the last 36 hours if I should drop $19.95 for the best mining ship in the game of Star Trek: Fleet Command. I agree its a wonderful invention! Hell, I myself am bored when it is unavailable to me. Its just my feeling that we're one solar flare away from the complete collapse of society and that's due to our technological over dependence.

IMO, since the advent of the internet, we have become collectively "dumber". Not in the sense that we have lost the capacity to understand a concept, but in the fact that we no longer have to remember anything. When we can look up any information at will then we do not have to retain it. I feel this feeds into piss poor problem solving skills and a sense of required instant gratification. Also, lol at "the world is holding be back".

Lets not forget the moralizing and navel gazing! Without which the internet itself would have no reason for existing.
