Ridiculous prices in Canada compared to the US. If I had a choice, I'd always buy from the US... Unless ofcourse, its a store where they sell burnt copies of the game. You'll find quite a lot of them in a place with a lot of immigrants (no offence to immigrants but its the truth).

Yup, you are right Hades. They NEVER deliver pre-orders before the game hits the stores. I suppose the best thing you can do (if you don't live in North America) is pray for a universal release. Chances are that a lot of people have pre-ordered this game so the delivery might take around 2-3 business days. I suppose that they will have enough copies of the game to ship but heh... who knows? However, Pre-order is hassle free because you don't need to worry about the copy not being in the store and you can sit at home idly until Purolator/UPS/FedEx rings your doorbell :D.

It was a joke... Why would I waste my money on buying a product thats inferior? Its really stupid... It took me 58 hours in the original KotOR but I talked with EVERYBODY and explored all conversation options (and I mean EVERYBODY), I completed every sidequest, explored every corner of the map and collected ALL the items. That too I left the game on for 8 hours once and I didn't realize.

I just don't see the point of Athlon64. I really don't care too much anyways... Besides, when you have a fully loaded system with everything, a $300 difference makes a biiiiig difference. Besides, I do other things than waste my life on the PC... Price is the main difference and I'd rather pay $850 and get a 3.6 Xeon 64bit w/800FSB then purchase a $1200 AMD FX-55 or Operton processor. Its a high performance processor... Not only is the processor more expensive but getting a Socket 939 motherboard means you have to shell out an additional $100 - $200. Also, the main reason that you'd buy an Athlon64 is because its a 64-bit processor. WHATS THE POINT OF BUYING ONE WHEN YOU CANT MAKE FULL USE OF IT??? I can get a decent P4 3.0GHz for $100 US. I can also get a 915/925 Motherboard from Asus for $150. If I wanted an Athlon system, I would have to pay $200 alone for the processor. Notice the price difference? Check any internet forum... There are a million other sites, just look it up on google. Besides, its a well known fact that Athlon64 systems are for hard core gamers and are beaten when used in non-gaming applications. What I'm saying is that you won't have much use for a 64bit processor these days because the large number of applications are all 32bit. I'm also saying that by the time Longhorn arrives on the scene, there will be better processors than an FX-55... Second of all, Intel now has 64 bit processors in the Xeon and P4 Series. They are known as the EM64Ts and for about 850 US, you can grab a 3.6 Xeon 64bit and I'd rather go for this as opposed to the AMD processors (even Opretron). If you think this is a bit too high, then you can go for a P4 EM64T processor or a slightly slower Xeon since 3.6GHz is the fastest they have. Also, the Itanium and Itanium 2 were the first ever 64 bit processsors so don't go there...

I'll state the obvious : It sucks not having KotOR 2 for PC. However, since its coming out in a month, I don't see the point of moaning and whining about it not being here. For X-BOX users : I don't see the point of gloating about it because we'll have better graphics, performance and... QUICKER LOAD TIMES.

I am now the A.A. person or Anti-ATi. I purchased a 9600XT (256MB) and it didnt even work properly... My friend purchased an X800 XL but it was beaten by a 6800 GT which was OC'ed ot 400/1100 (6800 Ultra levels). I will never ever ever ever buy ATi cards again. Dell gave me an X800 SE offer but the card is crap since its 12 pipleines and its only 325/700 or something... The X850 XT PE is a super powerful card at 540/1180 and 16 pipes but ofcourse I'm not paying $650 - $700 US for a stupid card when for near $800, I can get 2*6800 or 6800 GTO cards... If you know a good retailer, for $800, you might be able to get 2 6800 GT cards which u can use in SLI and OC them to Ultra levels. No ATi card can compete with that.... There isn't a HUGE difference between the X800 XT PE and X850 XT PE anyways...

I would still purchase an FX 5900 or 5950 Ultra even though on average at 3DMark 05, it was near 5 FPS... That doesn't mean its a bad card but if you are on a budget, its still quite a good card. Ofcourse, you could always go for a standard 6800, a 6600 GT or a 9800Pro which are all good cards. Obviously they wont run HL2 at 1600*1200 on 8x or 16x aa or something but they still work well with games...

I was thinking of getting a 3500+ at the time but they only had AGP and DDR and I knew these technologies would be obsolete soon which is why I didn't go for Athlon. Besides, what does an Athlon64 compare to? I know even the FX series can destroy any Intel processor out there (even a 3.6 Xeon!). However, I think the 3000+ only has a 2.1 GHz clockspeed and even though it has a super fast 1600MHZ FSB, it still can't compare with a 3.2 or a 3.4 which you can get for the same price.
