  1. Anyone know where I can find Neverwinter Nights portraits converted for Baldur's Gate use? Used to be they were hosted on a site but it's been wiped clean from the internet ...as far as I know.
  2. Looks like Jeff Bridges in Iron Man. What gives? For posterity: Manip some Desert Eagles into those palms and we're good to go.
  3. Dreamfall. Not bad but it's no Longest Journey. And what's with all the Irish?
  4. Hey, leave Tron out of this!
  5. "Intense" is the new "extreme". Still, I'm excited for the sequel. I just hope they improve ME's repetitive planetary exploration. That sucked.
  6. Reinstalled PS:T with Qwinn's various restoration/tweak mods! Oh, and I bought my girlfriend the DS remake of Broken Sword. Could be it's rubbish but the original was cool beans so hopefully she'll dig it. Which reminds me... Stobbart's been trolled!
  7. TV on the Radio - Province
  8. Bloodlines OST - Mouldy Old World
  9. Ion Storm planned to modernize T4. Wonder if Eidos aim to do the same.
  10. No-one is called Vulva, except in the TV series Spaced. Her real name's Ian.
  11. Lots of fun. My only nitpick is Nero but it's cool beans. In an origin story you can only spare so much time to flesh out the bad guy. Bana's good though. They all are, Urban especially.
  12. Watchmen. I dunno. Despite Snyder's good intentions, it's a poor man's adaptation. He holds the material in such high esteem that he stretches himself too thin trying to cover it all. What you end up with is an oddly paced mishmash of rushed storytelling and displaced flashbacks. I found it pretty shallow too, which surprised me. It didn't have the substance of The Dark Knight. It's accurate in surface terms more than anything else, but even then it's excessively violent, more so than the comic. It's not bad film as such. It just doesn't translate. If you're going to adapt something you've got to be fearless, I think. You can't be afraid to mess with characters or plot. The Prestige is a great example of that. It's very different from the book when it has to be, yet still manages to preserve the core themes. If only Paul Greengrass had had his way with Watchmen. Paddy Considine as Rorschach? Brilliant!
  13. It sure is! Installed Bloodlines earlier today... again. Are either of the unofficial patches any good? I've yet to try.
  14. Lou Reed - Hangin' Around
  15. Kikoskia's X-COM LPs make good watching. The harder the game, the more entertaining the LP.
  16. Arulco's fate, in the hands of one Jeffrey Lebowski... They're doomed!
  17. Sweet potato pie, that's good news! Feels kinda like papa's regained custody of the kids.
  18. Just picked up NWN2 + MOB and The Witcher. My next few months of gaming are set.
  19. Thanks for the advice, guys. High performance gaming isn't really a priority, I've a 360 for that... when it works. If I can run Neverwinter Nights 2 I'm happy.
  20. How important is processor speed really? If I have a 2.10 GHz laptop is it worth paying fifty or so pounds to upgrade to a 2.4? Memory's a lot more important, right? It's time to buy a new laptop but I'm out of my depth here, I know.
  21. MGS4. I feel bad because literally everyone but Snake got some (even Hal).
  22. I'm ill so I'm in bed reading a Xenogears LP and listening to the Braid soundtrack. Nerd!
  23. So... I bought it. Had to suffer the indignity of the ID check though! Jerks...
  24. Damn, this made me laugh out loud. I would LOVE to watch you play this game, Bok. I second that! Post some pics, Bok! (I would myself but the st00pid 360 isn't screenshot friendly...it needs a HD PC gfx card - if I had that, then I wouldn't be playing it on the 360!) Ok! My pistol can't kill this thing... So I use a bat Then I watch the sunset And that's the end of a typical Fallout 3 session A magical evening.
  25. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever physically met anyone who's played (or heard of, even) either Fallout 1 or 2. ...but then I don't get out much.
