  1. Im certainly not a member, its my weird uncle Svenge the Oslo dentist who likes to roleplay.
  2. Anarchy as a political movement refers to a society that lacks a centralized and fixed governing body. There have been numerous and relatively successful implementation of this principle through Society, most famous being the communes of the Spanish Revolution or Denmarks Christiania. They had their problems but not as much as compared to a traditional society. Boththese examples were ended by forceful methods of a military superior exterior body(the fascists under Franco and the Danish goverment) so one cannot claim they didnt work.
  3. Well duh? Because hes an alt of course! And as always, religious conflicts always bring the most gruesome violence because its combatants tend to see their enemy not only as a political enemy but as religious enemy(great satan etc.) that is not human and can thus be righteously treated with inuhman cruelty.
  4. Well, a true nutjob could make washing dishes sound controversial. "
  5. Only if you give me candy
  6. Well, the main reason why Saddam was kept in power after the first Gulf war was to keep Iraq from erupting into civil war (and thereby disrupting the oil trade). There one thing that cruel and inhumane dictators do very well and that is to keep different ethnic groups within the country from killing eachother. Jugoslavia is a good example
  7. That kid should be put in a bag and drowned in the river. I couldnt stand it for log but hes basicly screaming "Come on, I want to play now!!"
  8. Id just like to say that Im not in the least anti-american. Im very fond of Canada which is nice and just like Sweden except you speak English and your bears are bigger. Theres nothing wrong with debating just for the sake of debating. Its fun and educational, just like masturbation.
  9. First of all, Anarchy is a form of society that lacks a central goverment. It is not chaos. Goverments like to brand Anarchy as something unruly and chaotic that it is not, because as a movement, Anarchy is much more dangerous to the global economy than lets say Communism which can be corrupted and controlled.
  10. are you with? Then look at this. Hades just proved my theory correct. He is thinking about becomming a terrorist and THAT is why he would be worried if you pointed a gun at him. Thus, we would be right to shoot him.
  11. After last nights game Ill just have to admit that Im not scaring them, and that theres no way Ill be able to do that because theyre not that kind of players. So if we play more itll just be purely for the thrill of solving a mystery which isnt so bad when you think about it.
  12. No seriously. We have nothing whatsoever to worry about, the state just wants to keep everyone safe and unterrorist-y. Its like if I point a gun to your face. As long as youre not planning to do anything fishy which might make me have to pull the trigger you shouldnt be worried. But if you ARE worried, that means that you ARE planning to do something fishy and THEN Ill have to shoot you " see? simple logic.
  13. Its a BSD derivate, to be not-so-precise. However, its interface is still too Mac-y for my taste. I recall the problems I had just trying to get Safari to maximise the bleedin' browser window. "Im sorry, Apple do not believe in fullscreen mode. The button which you think would maximise this window actually adapts it to the content, a feature that doesnt actually work so youll just have to make do with this 15x10cm window. happy scrolling." slight exaggeration included for free.
  14. Well, we will play the main part of "The haunting" soon and we shall see if I do manage to give my victi.. players a bit of a fright. Ive decided to tone it down a bit, there will be now flying knife or Corbitt actually rising from the dead to battle the players, but more of a low key spook.
  15. and you people complain that presidents feeding monkeys with sausage isnt funny? heathens!! *shakes fist*
  16. A true authoritarian classic
  17. Not the same Atari. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Aye, ATARi stopped being ATARi in 1976 when the company was sold to Warner Bros. then the brandname(only the name, not the people) has been passed around like a hot potato between diffrent companies. Lastly the name and logy etc. was bought by Infrogrames who then "became" the ATARi we have today which is a company who has absolutely nothing whatsoever with the previous incarnations Its like if 50cent would buy the brand "elvis presley" and start to release records as Elvis.
  18. We've begun to play CoC which is an excellent and wellmade RPG in every aspect but I find that it is extremely demanding to lead compared to other games. This far the characters have just began on my modified version of "The Haunting" from the core rulebook but they have not reached the core parts. I dont know quite how to create a mood of horror and these players arent making it any easier. I could have scary music, go "..the thing moves slowly, staggering forward. its dead flesh reeks of putrefaction and.." and make scary faces but I swear they will just go "Oh, its a zombie, lets chop its head off" How do you go about scaring people like this?
  19. I think the matter is that people are looking for a point where there is none. Its like in that Monty Python sketch about scottish poet Robert Burns where he rides past a sheep and it explodes. Its just a sheep that explodes, thats it. No point. The fun lies in the absurdity of a sheep just exploding for no reason. And its hillarious
  20. but the question is.. why on earth would I want to run MacOSX on my PC? " ..if you want to be alternative theres a whole bunch of Linux dists that arent so bloody Mac-esque (I always feel like im fiddling with somekind of toy rather than a computer when dealing with a mac because the OS is so dumbed down)
  21. Did they kill laughter in the country where you come from Mistarh Raven?
  22. *snip* There was never anything here to see "
  23. But whats there not to get?! ..its Bush feeding sausage to a monkey! Just the thought is hillarious... isnt it? And then theres the whole "discovery channel thing" on top of that.. uh.. fine, I give up.
  24. Wait a minute.. youre insinuating something here arent yo, mr Bin? Something depraved and preverted, I reckon.. *reaches for cattleprod*
  25. Four words: phillistines, all of you. (and no, everyone knows "photoshop priday" is an SA thing, what do you think Im an idiot?!) Either my 'artwork' is even sloppier than Im aware of or you need stronger glasses because, bush is very much holding the sausage, see the way his arm connects to his shoulder and so on? "
