Looks like someone could be in for a very short visit. Chris is a great writer. Complicated and convoluted perhaps, but none the less great. What was your problem with the writing ? Not straightforward enough to be Star Wars?

Should have been on the Elder Scrolls Forums you would have seen your fair share. Just what % of total sales are you seeing on the Xbox forums , not even .1 of a %. Any retailer will swap a game for the same game. Just what else do you expect LA to do about it? What exactly is the norm anyway? Because until you figure out what it is, then you have no way of knowing whether or not KOTORII is above below or average when it comes to bad disks. Posts on a forum are hardly conclusive whatever you might like to think.

Well Golden Sun is an RPG with HEAVY puzzle elements. Fire Emblem is a tactical combat game with an RPG type story. One thing I should probably mention is that death is permenant in Fire Emblem (once you finish the tutorial).Some people love it, some hate it. But it's worth pointing out. Minish Cap is the latest Zelda. Not really much to add. Except its rather good. Shining Force is anothe tactical RPG only without the permadeath Advance Wars is TB build and destroy war game. Not really something I got into , but the wife loves it. If you mean where to get them, can only help you out there if you in the UK.

Wizards and Warriors was a rotting log when it came to bugs. But at least the clunkiness is gone. I found DL quite intuative even for someone who spends most of the time with a gamepad these days. Another for the character system as well.

In KOTOR Bastila's only real role was as a plot device victim. Like Aribeth she was wishy washy with no mind of her own. Great female role model you have there. Personally I'd back Kriea who was both above and beyond anything you did.

The ending didnt make KOTORII a crappy game. The ending wasnt that great. I miss my 20 minute closing cinematics but just because of that, the quality of the rest of the game dosnt devalue. Well if your happy with it, your happy with it. Not a problem. I want to play games like MGS III and FFXII personally. The only PC game of note recently has been HL II and as I'm not a big FPS fan I dont really care about it that much. Oh there was Vampires, until it started to bug out.

RPGs are difficult always have been, even more so now that full voicing is the vogue. I'm certain that given the same schedule and the lessons learned from KOTOR II Obsidian could deliver a kick arse game in the same time frame. I dont expect they would want too, but then again some people thrive on the pressure so who knows. In a couple of months there should be some more details on what the third project is. Although its certianly not KOTOR III.

I can tell you from playing the full game thats not the case at all. If I recall the demo starts you off in the Viking Tomb which is one of the more combat heavy areas.

I just picked up Twin Snakes. It's been a long time since I played MGS but I understand this is a reworking of the PS version?

1)According to the guide you go alone but then the guide dosnt include the Mira scene. What happens is pretty open ended. Do a search, bajillions of threads about it. 2)If you gain influence with him he will talk about what happened originally on M5, which will fill in the blank. 3)You get a cookie 4)Another cookie 5)I believe it's two, i've only ever seen two endings. 6)She's complex, her ultimate goal is to free the galaxy from the force. The reason she admires the exile at first is because he/she lived without the force and they have that in common. She goes off them a bit when she finds out why though. Quite likely she was drawing power from the evil planet which boosted her abilities. Like how Juhari drew power from the grove in KOTOR only on a much bigger scale. Play it agian, especially as a different gender/alignment and you get a different spin on the story, and a different series of "clues". LS Female probably has the easiest time with Kreias grand plan because it's in the disciple cutscenes.

Golden Sun 1&2 Fire Emblem Minsh Cap Shining Force should keep you busy for a while. The Pokemon games are also incredibly good time wasters if you really get into the breeding the ultimate pokemon side of things. Should probably add Advance Wars to the list.

If that hasnt occured to them I'm not losing sleep over it. Let me give you the sum total of my console "problems" Fable - went black screen twice got returned. The Getaway - kept freezing at a specific point. Exchanged disk, game worked fine. Gladius - black screen , swapped for PS2 version. Thats out of 70+ titles across 5 platforms. To do the same with two PC games would take multiple posts. I never said it wasnt a problem bad disks happen,getting worked up over the fact you have one dosnt help you. Returning it for a new disk does. I said it wasnt a problem that LA/Obsidian is responsible for or could fix.Which is 100% true.

Funny that, because guess what the PC is getting hand me downs of games designed to run on consoles.

Not really, you have consoles for games and a much lower spec PC takes care of everything else. Unless you use it in some sort of professional capacity like CAD. For most purposes the PC is soley a games machine and nothing more. It's a use I'd be more than happy to see the back off given the crap infested releases of recent years, perhaps they were always crap infested come to that, and it's only recent console evolutions that have given an alternative.

True since Game dropped it's prices. It's 99p cheaper (the cost of postage) KOTOR online cost 30.98 and 29.99 in store (minus usual discount). I do enjoy being able to order when I like and then having everything arrive on Thursday though , whether I am here or not. Which is the real reason I shop online.

There are quite a few glitches later on, floating goblins and things like that. Also I got pushed inside a wall, and the slo mo spell seems to cause a lot of problems.

MGS III. The fight against "The End" was the best sneaking in any game. Actually it would be relatively easy to intergrate MGS III's camo system into an RPG especially one like FO.

Good thing 99.9% of them work out of the box then isnt it.
