  1. Science never claims to be infalible either. Thats reserved for religion. As methods advance, more and more questions get answered. Even if there were a divine being. I'd still see no reason to worship them since they obviously screw up just as much as people do albeit on a grander scale.
  2. Science has nothing to do with faith. Science is all about evidence. You want to advance something in science, you need to prove (or disprove) a theory. You cant just say because I said so which is what religion comes down to at the end of the day.
  3. Dosnt really matter what the odds are if they exist , given enough time (or throws of the dice) they will occur. Think about all the evolutionary deadends, actually, think how much more enduring the dinosaurs were to date. If there is a supreme being, it's a kid playing with genitic lego rather than anything all powerful. An infalible entity would have no need for do overs after all.
  4. It does amuse me though when people try to adapt any religion to suit their own purpose, or to make them feel better about their particular life choices.
  5. It only enhances the growth of fire. It's pretty detremental to the condition of what your burning.
  6. Depends how much you paid him I expect. Unless he has a view that his talents are above games (some do).
  7. Never saw Scarlet Witch outside of Avengers. Rogue in the Xmen cartoon (the one with Wolverine in blue and yellow) not really my definition of hottie.
  8. Leaving anything up to interpretation is asking for trouble. Then again so is expecting a book written 2000 years ago to give you the answers in todays society.
  9. They made Scarlet and Rogue total hotties in Evolution.
  10. Are they going to do another animated Xmen ? Last one I saw was Evolution.
  11. Highly unlikely. If you want to talk seriously about those sorts of subjects a game companies board isnt the place. You may have noticed we are an irreverant bunch :D The only way your going to see significantly more people is if Obsidian release or announce a game, which dosnt get put on another companies forums.
  12. Wasnt just me then I should probably ask which catagory are you in , but I wont. Your on the user list , since it's not a common name I was pretty sure it was you.
  13. This one http://www.sshock2.com/bioshock/previews/ Didnt take long to read. Think I saw one of Hades relatives over there too.
  14. Well I tracked down the forum so I guess thats a start.
  15. I hope if your going to be "evolving" they can capture the feeling of losing your humanity as you struggle to survive. Remember the cyberpsychosis from cyberpunk ? I'd imagine if rescuers showed up they would be in for quite a shock.
  16. http://shop.gameplay.co.uk/webstore/produc...&title=cubivore The premise of the game is simple: Eat or be eaten. Assume the role of an animal in its early stages of development. But, in the harsh reality of nature, this creature has no parent to coddle and protect it. From the moment the game begins, your creature is on its own to fend for its life. As your animal instincts take over, you will boldly traverse hostile environments, savagely stalking your prey and asserting your place in the animal chain of power. Will you have what it takes to become the new king of the beasts? Explore a number of different environments while consuming other animals to evolve into one of 100 possible creature combinations. Also, by collecting different items you can have access to stronger body parts such as horns and fangs, which can give you the edge in this dog-eat-dog world. However, no creature lives forever, so you'll need to pass on your strongest traits to your offspring and the circle of life will begin again. Ultimately, the goal is to become powerful enough to topple the alpha creature and earn your rightful place at the top of the food chain.
  17. It's the plot to Tremors Sounds pretty interesting if they can pull it off though.
  18. The focus should stay on games and game related things. WOT is ok for a change of pace, but having more forums will just mean less going on in each one.
  19. Huh ? Dosnt sound very system shock like. So your a creature of some sort ? Sim earth was kind of fun. A friend and I evolved a race of bird people which took over the world :D
  20. Spiritual sequel to System Shock 2. Made by the same developer even, but I think the SS2 liscence belongs to someone else, hence spiritual sequel. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Well System Shock and System Shock II I have heard of (wouldnt be much of a gamer If I hadnt would I)... Thanks for the info.
  21. How could I leave FFXII off the list (thats like grounds for divorce here) I think it's a protection mechanism to stop me going crazy
  22. Should do, the releases are pretty spread out. Usually I forget about them after a bit and they just show up on thursday mornings. The purpose of these threads is to see if I've overlooked anything while I've been away.
  23. What games are on your shopping list at the moment ? Kind of long this one.. Spartan:TW - picked it up yesterday but havnt really played it yet Xenosaga II (finally) Lost in Blue - Survial RPG using the touchscreen where can it go wrong Nightmare Troubador - time for a new babe deck Kingdom Hearts II (hurry up already) Twilight Princess (same goes for you) Pokemon XD - Pokemon with attitude Fire Emblem GC - Great game now I want to know what the hell it's about Shadow T' Hedgehog- Optimistically curious about it Batallion Wars - Advance Wars goes RTS Mario Baseball Mario Football - always have a blast with the Mario sports games multiplayer. Mario Kart DS - Duh Zoo Tycoon - loved it on the PC well suited to a handheld Kirby Power Paintbrush - looks innovative and although I'm not a Kirby fan I'll bite. Kuon - Japanese Horror Fire Emblem GBA - More portable FireEmblem goodness Probably forgot a bunch but I bet gameplay love me
  24. I'm not sure whether it's Rare, after all companies come and go. But rather that no one has stepped up to fill the gap they left. I had a look over the upcoming GC list and there are 7 out of the top 10 I want. with the DS and the PSP I I dont think I will need another console till this time next year. I'd be less interested in the PS3 too, if it didnt have all the additional bells and whistles.
