  1. Then why leave the content on the disk ? Can you answer that ? It obviously exists because it wasnt deleted btw. At the time that was what the content indicated. By having the ability to unlock a file that already exists that violates the old rating. I don't see it as nonsense. I see it as an abuse of the ratings system. If the developer never wanted this stuff to be seen they would have deleted it. Whether you are in favour of it or not .It leaves a huge loophole for adding inapropriate content to games. It's only effect is likely to be much stricter scrutiny. This is Take Two's second strike I bet they will be watching them closely.
  2. Graphics definately need an upgrade. They are not bad, but poor by the new standards.
  3. How long do you think it would take before it's released?
  4. Do I really have to answer that ? Could it be that your in favour of this sort of backdoor manipulation ?
  5. You would either need some serious changes or a gamepad.
  6. Then why leave it on the disk ? You way leaves a HUGE loophole for getting around ratings. Bethesda is more likely to chalk up to an oversight. Hot Coffee, not so.
  7. There is a difference between making something that didnt exist and just unlocking something that did. The ratings board appears to understand this as they havnt rerated games based on actual creations (what I call mods) but rather only on content which was already present.
  8. Easy enough. Anything that could raise the rating should not be on the disk. I'm sure the ratings board will consider something along those lines too.
  9. Ok lets say I have a 15 rated game. But I leave a code in which allows you to unlock a mini game where you shoot a child and splatter it's brains over the wall. Thats ok because it's not part of the game ? As I've said from the start it's not the nudity I just don't like the questionable files being accidently left on the disk for people to access.
  10. I wouldnt even call that a mod it would be an insult to mods. Developers should be responsible for anything left on the disk. Regardless if it needs to switched on. To do otherwise leaves the backdoor open to include content which was not rated.
  11. Unless someone is incredibly clueless they are aware that anything left in the game files like hot coffee or topless skins will be found. Either they are A lazy or B want them to be found so as to get around the ratings. Neither is acceptable.
  12. Yes,although I was a week after buying it. I found Dragon Quest much more fun. Exploration was actually worthwhile in Dragon Quest.
  13. Isnt autoresolve an even worse way of you not interacting with your characters? In KOTOR most battles were over in less than 30 seconds anyway. I could see this perhaps being an issue if you only had one character to control but you have several, so one is likely to be active all the time. It's like with IE games. I left the fighters mostly on AI control, because they were doing what I wanted them to do anyway.
  14. Nah,went through all the races topless and then showed someone running around the capital in a pair of panties murdering a begger or passer by. In case anyone is wondering I've got nothing against nudity. This is about leaving stuff to be found. I'm glad the board is all over it.
  15. If it's on the disk to be unlocked then it's not third party. Whether or not you disagree on other grounds according to the ratings board thats the ruling.
  16. Came across a movie of it while I was looking at the Dark Mesiah trailer.
  17. Yes they do or there would be no way for them to release a "clean" version. Which is what they are doing. They left the file there. They are responsible for the file being there. If hanging out here has taught you anything it should be that is something is left on a disk someone will find it. Oh this is Take Two btw of "Hot Coffee" fame.
  18. Unlocking a file isnt what I call modding. It's what I call the developers trying to get around the ratings system. What your talking about is a completely different thing entirely.
  19. "as well as the presence of a locked-out art file or 'skin' that, if accessed through a third-party modification to the PC version of the game", They (bethesda) left the file there. Someone didnt create it. The mod only created a way to unlock it.
  20. If developers can't be honest about the content they need to have thier wrists slapped. Obviously if you leave the file there someone is going to unlock it.
