  1. Yep, for me on a retail re-install, T3 freezes in the Peragus tunnels, in what looks like a combat animation except there is no pew, pew, pew. Exactly like what was described above in 2005. Camera turns freely, but neither WASD or mouse movement control is functional. If I avoid combat through the tunnels, there is no problem.

Maybe if I ignore it, it will go away.

  2. I don't know any Danes personally, but it was neat to see the first-ever Denmark-ian on the podium of an F1 race, in his series debut, no less, at the age of nineteen. McLaren driver Kevin Magnussen finished in second place at the Australian Grand Prix, an incredible feat for himself and the team. In however it is said in Danish, congratulations!

Edit: Oh, wait, this is a spoiler post--aw, who cares, no one here watches this sport ...  ;(

  3.

For example, we don't tolerate bots.

Is this true? Asking for a friend ... her, uh, profile view count suddenly spiked and continues to rise inversely proportionate to my her popularity. Repeat visitors with no avatar are scary bots, she tells me.

  4.

I want to see the Big Bang.

That would kinda be impossible, given that there was no time before the Big Bang, therefore nothing before to return to witness it.

Maybe you could return DURING it, but it would be beyond fatal.

It seems likely you could witness the Big Bang from the 'outside', if this multiverse thing is accurate. Probably not much different from watching infinite soap bubbles.

  5. Elementary renewed for next year, season three. It's pretty entertaining for a procedural, a genre I don't usually appreciate. Big Bang will get fully three more seaons ... I still like it.

But the best news from today is the June 3 release date of season six, remastered blu-ray ST:TNG, including five new commentaries and even more new interview documentaries.  :aiee:

  6. It's rare the arrant dressing-down that cannot be labeled a harangue. Canadian 'ticks' are straight deadly.

I feel like I should improve what I contribute now ... but I thought this thread was a polite rainbow trolling, anyway. Not that children's self-esteem isn't important.

  7.

Did it ever occur to you that maybe accurate representation of  gender equality is part of the teaching process?

Depending on what class you are teaching! There is no room for anything but hard cold facts in a history class.

I don't know, I appreciated some warm, informed analogies in one of my American history courses. He strictly avoided commentary, or judgment, as well as rote recitation, but I was able to remember many more facts because of it.

  8. Wow, this whole time I completely bought Lady Sif, Jaimie Alexander's, posh Asgardian accent ... but she's an American actress. Impressive. And a pleasant tone, too, she should totally do voice-over work and give Jennifer Hale a run. And her swordplay ... gah

Still wondering who Agent Ward is actually in love with ... surely not Skye ... but who else is there.

  9. Does it have to be a point in time ... how about a length of time compressed into hours. Like I mean, from an aerial perspective, I want to see the Grand Canyon become a canyon. Five million years, or so, compressed into maybe a few months. I could eat sandwiches I packed from the future, maybe some pizza, and watch geologic deep time happen right in front of me.

Or say, continental drift ... watch India plow into Asia, or see hot spot islands in the middle of the Pacific pop up like paint drips. Human time is too short, I want to go back and see how this planet became a planet. Although, yeah, for sure hominids from a million years ago would be fascinating, too.

Sucker Punch was a piece of crap, though. so saying "the new 300 movie is better" isn't much

The entire review is tongue in cheek.  It's a comedic device where praise is actually concealed as a scathing condemnation.  Insert dry chuckle here.

All I know is when I saw the 300 sequel advertised on TV the other day, I went ".... whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy."

Ok, I know why...money. But you know what I mean.

Maybe not so much money, as Lena Headey. I worship her everyday, not just Women's Day. zomg
