  1. no, I mean an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ with a GeForce 7900 GS. And when I do serious 3D work i'd WANT somthing better than a 256, but the 256 works fine for now and i've got a second computer for rendering, meaning the time isn't really an issue. Funny though, it's almost as if you're saying you don't belive that I actually have a half-good PC, meaning I can't possibly like PC games, like Nexus, Hearts of Iron 2, Age of Empires 3, Sacrifice, Giants, Battlezone 2 and whatever others my shelves are lined with. BOOHOO WAH WAH.
  2. Are you on the 'pay to play' version.
  3. Actually, i'm on a duelcore 4ghz with 256 of video memory. I need it for 3D work, so i'd be an idiot if I didn't use it for games too. Not the best computer ever made but it plays NWN2 and Supcom on high settings without a hitch. See, I love PC games, I just don't BOOHOO WAH WAH over having to use a controler.
  4. It doesn't happen until three minutes after the fuse is lit when i'm looking right down on it? I actually did some reserch on cous cous the other day, when I realised I didn't know what the buggery it actually was. Well colour me suprised!
  5. Actually, I thought someone would jump on that point. Below are two examples of Guild Wars concept art. and two screenshots. I will make no comment on the quality of the game, but what I will defend is the quality of the artwork and the way in which it was incorporated into the game. Ultimatly, the best thing about the entire game was how good it all looked compared to any other WRPG out there. NWN2 might have better graphics, more polygons and surface shaders, but all the designs were everything that we've seen before since DnD was invented, while Guild Wars presented a huge range of different styles and influences and meshed them togeather.
  6. This is why I feel bad every time I watch the Simpsons.
  7. Tell me about this 'god'.
  8. The irony is that it's PC snobs who are still playing the same 10 year old crap who could be said to hate games, unless liking a tiny subsect of the gaming market excuses them because 'dude, those are REAL games'. Nice work you freaking hippy, get a job. Hades is more of a gamer than a PC snob will ever be.
  9. JRPGs are full of problems (it says enough that the best one ever made is only best 'by default'), but at least they generally try to mix things up rather than pushing out the same cookiecutter elves and dwarves fantasy over and over. Don't get me wrong, MotB was genius, and games like Fallout and Arcanium are bumping around (even if they're both ugly as sin), but it says a lot that the two most recent bioware games that broke away from the generic formula both borrowed heavily from Asia in one way or another. The best JRPGs tend to have better artistic direction than the equivilent WRPGs. It's not that western companies are incapable of great art direction (just look at Guild Wars), but they're way to obsessed with DnD, which sort of drags everything down in this department.
  10. Goths have a sense of humour?
  11. Don't confuse plot with actual storytelling. Gameplay was totally haha.
  12. I agree with you here. Played it when it first came out and loved it, but even then I couldn't be bothered to play past Calcutta. Picked it up again recently and couldn't even be bothered to finish the Japan section. Which is too bad because the game has a lot of personality and a lot of interesting features, the gameplay just isn't particually interesting and hasn't aged well, as you say.
  13. Well, free market economics are cirtainly a step up from most forms of mercentalism but there are problems involved in letting companies do basically whatever they want to make money.
  14. It's another British classic. Completely predictable, but that's part of the charm.
  15. And likewise, their consumer goods.
  16. Yeah, but no rush, Vegas 2 isn't a huge evolution and it's more about getting people into it than splashing out on somthing new just because we can.
  17. Did you ever have any interest in Vegas by the way? Kor has it now.
  18. Aw, too bad, we were giving it a good run.
  19. Faulty Towers is a comedy of embarisment, which can make it painful to watch.
  20. Damn your eyes Krookie, damn your eyes. You've got GRAW though right? We've been trying out the coop modes in that, very nice stuff.
  21. WHERE ARE YOU KROOKIE?! Don't worry, though, turns out we couldn't play for long. Some other time, some other time.
  22. Actually yeah, this game has had almost universal praise, i'd be interested in hearing any critisism you've got too.
