  1. Even though I have beta access I am so tempted not to use it. Problem is that I find it difficult to replay games. I remember things way too well and for me the second time through really misses that special feeling of something new. If i played the beta different to the way I play the full game it would be one thing, but I'd want the first time to be the way I actually want to play it. If I played the beta i'd end up rushing through the same sections in the actual game and potentially get bored of it because I've seen it all before. In the end though it really depends on what the beta content is. If the beta is just designed to test and balance combat mechanics that would probably be ok for me. If its entire sectoins of the game as is with full dialog I'd have major problems with that.
  2. Meta dungeon... thinking a dungeon that is full of all sort of stupid RPG tropes that the characters would either see straight through or be completely obvious to. The alternative would be a dungeon that is so horrible you can only compete it by metagaming with foreknowledge.
  3. Thats an absurdly unfair generalization. While the game dev community is mostly men it doesn't mean they have no social interaction with women. Strangely enough lots of game devs get married and have children! Gosh.
  4. Those torment pictures bring back memories... of being embarrassed about how terrible they were. Maybe the planes do something to warp perspective and enhance various parts of womens anatomy *shakes head* As far as this game goes, things may end up being a little exaggerated purely because using an overhead cam perspective will dimish the difference between male and female characters. So in order to make female characters look obviously female its possible that they will need to make them *really* female. Hope it doesnt turn out that way though. Would be nice to see a game that does it right. Historically male female equivilance is nonsense of course so whatever they do will be the way they want to do it

  6. Seems to be progressing quite quickly. $3,372,259 right now. Unless people just stop pledging it seems impossible that 3.5 wont be reached
  7. Oh my gosh this is a stupid argument. Limiting player choice is never the option because some people can't help but abuse the system. Some of us might want to *gasps* play a game for the story and not want to have to deal with annoying repetitive battles. Combat is not the soul focus of the game so don't make it too annoying .
