Is there a running repository of all the old and converted images? It not, shall I create a github one that we can dump those in so there is nice set that we can point new players to when Deadfire releases? -

Not to worry, the information is public and you should be able to give a sound opinion if you attain the knowledge and are comfortable enough to do so. My concern is already shared and reported. I do not need to add my oh-so-not-humble £0.02 to it. ☺ Even if there are dumb classes that are useless, a patch will make them better in the future. I trust Obsidian enough for that. If not, that's what lowering the difficulty is for. -
Deadfire FAILING

That is a fair and true comment. However, the beta players are not 100% of the fan base and a minority can be very vocal for a thing they want even though a majority of players would want something else. To be fair, having big beta does alleviate the problem (more people, more voices) and makes the game overall better. For example, I am worried that the explosion of multi-classes will make the game boring as everyone will pick the "best" mix (barbarians as far as I know now) to the detriment of other classes. However, I am not a beta player so I shut up because I do not know the details. -

The reason I linked the one I did is that is was made in 1973. It is still relevant today so either we are all that dumb or we are not learning… Or, you know, both. ☺ -

is a few comic examples o' fans not knowing what they want... […] listen to fans, but don't trust they know what they want, 'cause chances are they do not. "Fans" is not a homogeneous blog with one opinion. There might be many vocal fans clamouring for something but whether they are a majority, or just a loud (and obnoxious?) minority is hard for the developers to judge. In addition, what fans say they want might not be what they need nor do the develop understand it right: Look at the date, not a new problem.☹ -
Modding in deadfire.

I have a few friends that suffer from arachnophobia and modding tools allow for a simple replace of spider skins with whatever else skin. This allows them to play the game without emotional distress. -

Eh, well, every portrait is rather individual, so I can't make a tutorial that would 100% suit every type. But basically, I: -cut the head out of the original background (more often than not by hand, because it's either too dark or...edges ) into transparent background; -play around with Poster Edges filter (settings are individual for each portrait); -outline head's edges with Stroke in another layer; -apply POE2 watercolor background (it's on one of the previous pages in this thread) with overlay/soft light/multiply/etc. effect (individual for each portrait) in yet another layer; -smudge the face a bit if I feel like it; -work on the head some more by playing around with brightness/saturation/hue/etc. to make it feel more in line with background and official watercolored portraits. Kinda like that. I was afraid that's what you were going to say. I did wonder if you has some magic gimp-fu script but… Still, you do amazing work. Thank you for taking the time to do it. -

@Aramintai Could you make a tutorial of how you do these? Thank you for doing those for people. It is nice to see someone going the extra mile. ☺
