  1. Transgender surgeries on illegal aliens in prison.
  2. 1. Trump could publicly play video of himself sexually abusing children with Epstein and it would not impact the 40-something % that buys into the cult. 2. Not only that, but I really think that she's blowing what boost she got from Biden by not being hard on Israel generally and Netanyahu specifically. An American citizen was recently shot by an IDF sniper and so far it's been crickets from all of the dems, which is certainly not helping with the perceptions that dems do not have much compassion for Muslims. The dems NEED the Muslim vote to win and they're absolutely failing to really do some pretty easy things that show they give two ****s about Muslims. Right now it would not surprise me if Trump wins because Kamala lost by the hair that is Muslim voters. 3. I'm probably not going to watch it lmao. Look, if you've seen one Trump debate you've seen them all. He's going to spew tons of horse**** which is going to be sanitized by the media to not make him look completely unhinged. I do not think Kamala is going to say anything noteworthy, if she does I'll be pleasantly surprised browsing tonight or tomorrow. 4. I think that Kamala really needs to hit him on abortion and labor, where he is extremely vulnerable. To boot, the dems need to come out against the car dealerships, that's THE Republican base and they're almost universally reviled by anyone who has to interact with them. It's time to go after the Republican base in the same way Republicans go after unions. 5.
  3. Neon Genesis Evangelion and End of Evangelion - I have the Third Impact song stuck in my head. Does this hold up? Absolutely, no question. There's something disturbing about seeing the classic animation before CGI was an option, and honestly it's ****ing terrifying. There's just something so raw about it...I can honestly emphasize with Gendo now in a way I couldn't before and that's ****ing me up. Not afraid to admit I cried at the omenitau sequence and by god I think that's a near perfect ending. Anyways I guess I'll see how I take the rebuilds whenever I get to them again.
  4. An American Werewolf In London (1981) A componently made horror flick that has no poetry in it's soul. Perhaps as a viewer I am tainted with the knowledge Landis is a piece of **** (sorry to insult excrement by comparing it to Landis) but I found the film to be hollow. It's pretty but I find it lacking, I think it just lacks substance to make it anything more than 20 minutes of Werewolf with over an hour of an unlikeable **** floating through Jolly Olde England. Mulholland Drive (2001) - KP rewatch I don't know how many times I've seen this film, but I think this time made me think of my father a lot. If Naomi Watts had only made this film she would deserve to be remembered as an actress of a generation, the shift between bright-eyed up and coming starlet to a battered and tired woman bitter about having been abandoned by everything brings echoes of Ergo Proxy's examination of raison d'etre. Glued together by Lynch's trademarked surrealism, this dream reminds us of the hell of waking up. Not as iconic for me as Lost Highway, but still one of the best films ever made.
  5. Actually I think Trump is a good model here, make Twitter a containment like whatever Trump's Twitter fork is called and let them spiral in their own containment box. Let them spend hours posting instead of bothering others.
  6. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024) I enjoyed it. I think that I would have preferred it if it was more like other Mad Max films taking place during a single conflict instead of an origin story, but preferences aside the film was solid enough. The cgi means that visually it can be lacking but for me at least it wasn't as grating as superhero trash. I hope if they do another Mad Max there's a big twist reveal that the rest of the world is still normal but only Australia has descended into chaos. Drive-Away Dolls (2024) Not gonna lie, serious contender for movie of the year. Ethan Cohen still has the Fargo juice and really pumped it to make this.
  7. I had a roach fly at me the other day, for an animal that you can kill pretty easily it's funny how people instinctively tend to scream or fall into a fighting game stance when they see one (I did both). But they look creepy and feel worse if you happen to rub against one with bare skin, so **** em. I also have to say that I'm surprised majestic would go with that. Maybe he's healing from the Rebuilds and NuTrek and can finally laugh at them. Or maybe Diamond is Unbreakable broke his mind to the point anything seems normal compared to a David Bowie impersonator with a hand fetish being chased by a gang of high school students.
  8. It looks like a worse version of Dragon's Dogma or a more melee centeic Mass Effect. Too slow to be exciting and too fast to be tactical.
  9. But that human element gets in the way of PURE IMAGE AND SOUND! Imagine if instead of developing the characters or polluting cinema with pesky dialogue Ridley Scott gave us 4 hours of concept art with booming scifi music! Now that would be pure cinema.
  10. RFKJR gets on his knees and swallows more than his pride. Watch the 2 min clip of his speech, it's perhaps the most pathetic thing to come out this election cycle and that is really saying something. I guess the worm ate the part of his brain that could remember there is a current military adventurism besides Ukraine Trump is not only behind but wants to escalate, even with Biden backing it to the ridiculous and shameful degree that he is. The **** about cleaning out corporate influence and protecting free speech is slightly less risible, but only slightly.
  11. They tried to get me but my brain was too poisoned for them. The one thing that really made me think about RFK is that aside from the vaccine stuff, he's not really got anything to him. I like to think he was chosen as someone Republican donors thought would peel centrist voters but they are so out of touch they thought anti-vaXXX was a selling point.
  12. Given who was funding and working for RFKJR, the big surprise here is that it took this long. I guess Kamala was the big thing that caused it, but as far as I can tell RFKJR was already starting to disappear months before. Kinda funny to humiliate yourself like that to have to beg for a job from a guy known for wanting other men to "get on their knees" for him. Was GD a RFKJR guy? I thought he was a Libertarian Party stalwart?
  13. Picard is both too long and hard to watch, as that is what I was watching with my dad before he passed. So it's the Rebuilds or Twin Peaks, and it's been longer since I've seen the Rebuilds.
  14. Just the original series....for now. EoE and Rebuilds are on the menu soon, but there are a few movies I want to see before I go back to the anti-universe.
  15. It seems a disjointed mess that hastily ties up the previous seasons in a package that doesn't fit. The weight of the sacrifice feels empty and I honestly think ending at s3 would have been a better finale. Moreover, the rest of the season just feels bland, which is a shame because Jean and Gene are hilarious as villains and the show has done crazy fun stuff before. Just not a good time. Funnily enough, I just rewatched NGE. That ending works much better thematically and actually is well done in terms of composition. Certainly better than merging with a cgi blob for plot induced stupidity.
  16. Umbrella Academy s4 - The End of Umbrella Academy It's not very good. Gene and Jean are probably the high points but everything else feels below the standards of previous seasons, which already did feel like generally decline. Not GoT final season bad but very much going out with a whimper. Guess that's better than most Netflix shows tho lmao. It feels like the opposite if NGE in a lot of ways
  17. "I've known Jeff for fifteen years. Terrific guy, he's a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it—Jeffrey enjoys his social life." - Donald Trump Look, it's obvious to anyone who doesn't have **** for brains that Trump is an awful guy who believes awful **** and has done awful ****. Why bother trying to engage in good faith with those who have none? Just call Trump a pedo and spam the above quote with one of the many pics of him and his good buddy Jeff. Will save much time and frustration.
  18. Did the dad try to do the Human Instrumentality Project?
  19. The absolute madman actually said it lmao.
  20. I'm honestly shocked that the dems have done something smart. Gotta say I was expecting they would have gone with Shapiro, whose support for vouchers alone could probably tank all of the enthusiasm generated by benching Joe. I say this completely unironically, as a state chanpion high school football coach and a veteran with a dui Walz may actually make Texas competitive. Also as a rural non-ivy league blue collar guy he makes a good contrast to the furniture fornicating Thiel goblin JD Vance.
  21. Andalusia Stryker It's a Texas single malt smoked like Texas barbecue and by god is it good. I've also discovered the sentimental gentleman and I think it's probably going to top the old fashioned for me as the ****tail to make at home. I've done it with scotch and bourbon and I think it should work well with any whiskey you'd be comfortable doing an old fashioned with, could probably work with cognac or similar brandys as well.
  22. Kengan Ashura I do not say this lightly, but I think this may be the thing that unites this thread in sheer disdain. This feels like it was made in a lab specifically for me to hate. Some of the worst CGI animation I've ever seen combines with a stupid ass tournament arc and the worst Shonen tropes you can think of. The first 5 minutes sees a middle-aged office worker see two gym gods fight and his response is to go have the secks (for the first time in 15 years, as the narrator makes sure to tell us) because of survival instincts. Thankfully we are saved from a cgi secks scene, but instead there is a very unsettling closeup of the office workers face and at that point I decided that I will never take a Netflix suggestion in my life. I'd like to say it got me to cancel Netflix, but I don't pay for it anyways lmao. The one thing I'll give it is that I did not hate it so much to go pick up a shoe to throw at the TV, but if I had been wearing shoes you can bet your ass that I would have thrown at least one at the screen.
