When Trump started repealing the ACA via executive order, you had a non-insignificant amount of people freaking out because they didn't know that was "Obamacare". They of course blamed "the left" for naming it two different things. It's just the voter suppression tactics they've been using for the last few years, require increasing amounts of security in the name of combating fraud while simultaneously closing off avenues to get through said security for the person who doesn't have ample free time and resources.

I would bet every dollar I have that Lutnick would not call a landlord or lender a "fraudster" if they exploded for not getting their monthly rent or loan payment.

Anyone who writes a novel casting their boss as an undead monster has a funny streak. But I do think it's genuinely funny how Eggers broke with the zeitgeist of (modern) vampires to make a historically accurate monster that would be almost unrecognizable as a vampire in contemporary fiction.

I think he's very much the ideal pick for the Trump administration: someone who meets a specific aesthetic image Trump wants and is completely in the tank for Trump. That he's more qualified to spend all day tweeting nonsense or cosplaying as a soldier than the job he landed doesn't mean anything so long as he looks good in photo ops and can give a good interview.

All of this puts me in an awkward situation because I would very much like to hate on DAVe but also don't want to roll in that mud. I was hating on this **** before launch and these vermin scurry in to start as soon as they see sales figures aren't great.

Iirc, Ken Russell is a director that somehow consistently hits for both of us, which is a rarity. The anti-Villeneuve.
