I find the whole heading out in darkness more fascinating than the fishing. It has something clandestine about it that appeals to my RPG gamer heart. Also the arriving at the dark side of the island to find tiny little lights dotted around, where the other boats are. Would totally try to integrate it into a game if I were a dev.

You have a line with maybe three sinkers (Google squid hook). They have a lot of barbs but no actual big hook that gets stuck in. Lower the line to the bottom, then haul it back and lower it again. As you fish during a dark night, the little light from your lamp should reflect from your sinkers and attract the squid. It latches on and you haul it up. As there is no big hook though, if your movement isn't steady or too slow, it'll move off. So basically you just lower your line straight down and pull back up. No bait needed as light is your bait.

I made the mistake a couple of nights ago to say nothing, when asked what I'd be doing that evening. Next thing I knew I was on a tiny boat with two other men, skimming out of the bay for nighttime fishing. Caught my first calamari. It was an experience. They threatened to take me along with them again.

Of course fishermen would say that. Fish on the other hand probably have a very different opinion. A bit like when men claim catcalls are a sign of respect and appreciation

I have played through all AoW: Planetfall story missions. I doubt ExeKiller can throw anything at me that will make me cringe more than that.

Getting the game to run without those mods conflicting will be the most exciting thing you do with Skyrim.

I got sent a deluxe key for Humankind by amplitude as thanks for my help testing the game. I did not test the game. I am not certain if I should be happy or offended. It could say a lot of what they thought of my feedback on other games.

I find it funny how they call out EPIC in closing, not because of something EPIC has done, but because it exists.

It's amplitude - the base game will be solid. Small dlcs will be fun. Large dlcs will add new mechanics that don't work that we'll (looking at you espionage in Endless Space 2).

And you just finished the game It is remarkable how they managed to make a game a lot of people enjoyed but can't tell you an enjoyable thing about it.

That disenchanting mini game was terrible. I remember the first area quite well and found everything else forgettable. The game was good for combat execution screenshots though.

I can't play Rebel Galaxy. Since you can't rescue slaves, only sell them as contraband, the game hits my moral block that prevents me from enjoying it. There is a fan patch by a person like me for people like me. But I can't be bothered to jump through hoops.

Decided to go full fantasy rpg parent and hid half of a "key" among each of my children's belongings. Now I just need to figure out how to re-lock that dungeon.

Yeah, I'll have to clean my air conditioning unit after the fires are put out here as well.
