  1. Taking a break from my Y:LaD Legend run (after nearly 200 hours I need a break) I'm playing Hunie Pop 2: Double Date. Besides the copious amounts of nudity (in uncensored mode the game is for all intents and purposes hentai) it has really great match 3 mechanics. There are 2 types of match 3, the standard match stuff as quick as you can and a puzzle kind where you can take all the time you want but you have limited moves and there are all types of modifiers. If you played the first game the mechanics are the same but expanded and with some new added wrinkles. It's a surprisingly well crafted and fun game even without the boobs, but it also has boobs. As an aside, I'm keeping my eye on Valheim. It's early access right now and I don't generally partake in EA (neither one ), but I am VERY interested. Anyone here take the plunge yet?
  2. It probably will fall into the jingoist propaganda category rather than try to address the madness and horror of war. Only one shooter that I've ever played managed to do the latter justice, that of course was Spec Ops: The Line.
  3. He was already the GoaT before this, now he's virtually unassailable. There's a lot to be said about composure, leadership, and experience on the highest stage and Brady scores 10/10 in all 3 categories. Defense was the biggest factor in the SB win, but Tampa never gets anywhere near the SB without Brady, nor do they seal the deal like they did.
  4. I can assure you that there is no lack of pantsu... well, if you use the uncensored option there are most definitely scenes with lack of pantsu but that's probably not what the Twitter Tears™ were going for.
  5. Cool as a cucumber, but that's at stock. I get back on the road tomorrow morning and I have a bunch of stuff to do today like laundry and taxes, so I won't mess with OCing for a while. GN did a video on it, although it's more aimed at AIOs: The upshot is that the most important thing is that the pump is not at the top of the loop. In my case, had I mounted the pump/reservoir verticality it wouldn't have mattered since the reservoir would still be above the pump, but I didn't have room in the case to mount vertically. I had to put it where I put it because it was the only place it would fit comfortably. Note to self: Next time, use a full-sized tower rather than a mid tower.
  6. I had some leakage issues on first fill. I had to address them (sealant came into play), extensively test to make sure nothing was leaking any more and I gave it a couple days to make sure everything was dry, even though I was 98% sure no liquid got on anything important. Finally plugged it in and got it up and running.
  7. ^ I'm not usually into visual novels, but a VN from Failbetter in the Fallen London universe? Color me interested.
  8. Hats off to Tampa's defense. This is one heck of an ***whoopin'.
  9. I'm starting to work on bending the tubing. I ruined the first piece I tried, after that I got better at it. Ugly bends but perfectly functional. There are a couple tight bends I'll need to do, those will be tough. Good thing I have significantly more tubing than what I need.
  10. I spread it. Edit: There are fairy tales about what the best application is (e.g. single grain of rice, 5 dots, etc.). The point of the compound is to fill in the microscopic imperfections in the processor and the cold plate contacting it. Spreading ensures full coverage. If you use a non-conducting paste or grease then you can just slather it on there and if you put on too much it will just push out of the sides when you tighten down the cooler/waterblock. With liquid metal you have to be more careful to not put on too much, since it can short out your board if a bunch gets squeezed out onto the PCB.
  11. Graphics cards keep getting bigger, meanwhile storage... Kitchen shears for scale. After slowly and carefully removing the cooler: WARNING: GRAPHIC FULL FRONTAL PCB NUDITY Applying the thermal compound to the GPU was scary since I'm using Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut liquid metal, which obviously conducts electricity.
  12. I'm pretty sure I've posted this before, I don't care I'm posting it again because it's that awesome:
  13. A sequel to the LEGENDARY Duke Nukem Forever?
  14. I'm finally home and have everything in hand. I'm too tired to do the build proper tonight, so for now my goal is to take the cooler off the GPU and replace it with the waterblock. After a good night's sleep, I'll start the process of putting the desktop together.
  15. I enjoyed Mass Effect 1 & 2 quite a bit, 3 not so much. As with most games, I played it, I beat it, I'm done with it. I have zero desire to play the Mass Effect trilogy again. I suppose this is cool for young uns that heard about the games but they came out before their time.
  16. Stafford is no spring chicken and he's had problems staying on the field, but he's definitely an upgrade over Jared Goff.
  17. I get that The Expendables is supposed to be a love letter to 80s and early 90s action movies. I grew up on those movies. Many of my all-time favorite movies are of that variety. I am the exact target audience for The Expendables. It technically has all the elements you would find in those movies, but it's missing all the charm, personality, and heart of the fun goofy ones and all the fine craftsmanship of the great ones. It goes through all the motions without understanding what tied the motions together and made them work well.
  18. It's similar to what Adam Sandler has been doing with his buddies, that is essentially going on vacation and getting paid for it. To be fair to Stallone & Co., their efforts were nowhere near as low effort as Sandler's trash and they churned out mediocrity rather than the aggressively terrible piles of putrid excrement Sandler & Co. have been churning out.
  19. Maybe I'm just cynical, but The Expendables just felt like such a blatant soulless cash grab. I could have looked past that if the action had been fun, but it wasn't. It was generic uninspired fighting and shooting. Plus, the one liners were lame and felt phoned-in
  20. I mentioned in the What Are You Playing thread my new favorite outfit for Saeko, so I figured I might as well post a picture: Sadly, outfits only show during combat and not when you are walking around town.
  21. With a 6800 Nitro you should be able to overclock it to near or even with stock 6800 XT performance.
  22. I finished Yakuza: Like a Dragon NG+ Hard. I think I got a little carried away grinding in the battle arena because the last 3 chapters were quite easy. I should be well prepared for my Legend run. I wonder if I'll get any new outfits during the Legend run. I got a couple during the Hard run, not sure if it was for reaching a certain chapter on Hard or reaching a certsin level or what, but one of them is an outfit for Saeko so awesome that she's forever wearing it from now on. I only wish the outfits were always visible and not just during combat.
  23. My policy was, is, and will continue to be "If Patrick Mahomes is playing I'm picking the Chiefs." With that in mind, my Superbowl pick: Chiefs
