I made the heinous, unforgivable mistake of watching like 5 minutes of a "vocal coach reacts to some song" video. The YT algorithm immediately started FLOODING my recommendations with reaction videos. It took me weeks of completely ignoring all reaction videos to mostly clear my YT recommendations of them (they still sneak in the odd one here and there).

In a related story, is Shin Megami Tensei V still happening? I haven't heard so much as a whisper about that in a very long time. If there's anything that can goad me into buying a Switch, that would be it. Zelda's Wild Breath couldn't do it, Mario Hat Game couldn't do it, but the thought of a brand new MegaTen existing and me unable to play it would be enough to keep me up at night.

^ Maybe a little excessive, but an effective motivational tool nonetheless.

Yeah, the 11600K seems to be the one decent value in this launch. The 11700K seems like a poor value and the 11900K makes zero sense whatsoever. I mean, flagship chips are always overpriced, but this is borderline robbery.

What Are you Playing Now: Living the Good Life

I have a mild desire play an Ubisoft game. I haven't played one since Watch_Dogs 2 several years ago. The thing about Ubisoft games is that they're all generally pretty good, they're not earth shattering, but pretty good. It's just that they're all essentially identical. If you play all of them you get burned out, but if you only play one once in a while it's good fun. It's like eating a bowl of Fruity Pebbles; if you eat Fruity Pebbles every day you'll get sick of it, but if you only have a bowl once in a blue moon, it's a perfectly tasty cereal. Coincidentally, I ran a Warder last time I played the game. Great class indeed. -

I have a stockpile of sausage, grilled lox meat, and turnip stew at home. Good thing food never spoils in the game. In my head canon, the chest with all the food is a refrigerator. -

Solo. As Oner wrote, the game scales difficulty based on player count. I'll try fire arrows when I fight him again to get a trophy for my wall. As an aside, I found the altar for Yagluth, the 5th (and final?) boss just by chance while farming fulings for black metal scrap in the plains. I'm going to take a break from the game for a bit. I'm in no hurry to fight Yagluth. My next order of business is building a fortress and city, but I'm going to wait for the update and new building pieces. -

I killed Moder, the 4th boss in Valheim. This is a grueling experience all around. First off, just summoning him is quite the chore. You need 3 dragon eggs which weigh 200 each, so even if you have the girdle that increases your carrying capacity from 300 to 450, you can't carry all 3 eggs by yourself at once. His summoning altar is quite far from my main base and it was quite the journey on my ship, especially with the wind not cooperating and me having to tack yo sail against it. I built a summoning portal near the altar once I reached it. Unfortunately, you can't take dragon eggs through a portal (still worth building it, though), so I had to make the last leg of the trip from shore and up the mountain side multiple times. I felt like freakin' Odysseus after all that. After dropping the eggs near the altar, I ported back home, rested, got all my food and supplies ready, then ported back and performed the summoning ritual. Moder has ice attacks, so frost resistance is a must. My wolf armor and lox cape all have frost resistance, but I drank ftost resistance mead for good measure and used Bonemass' power for physical resistance. I mainly used my Draugr Fang bow with poison arrows. He's a massive bullet sponge, so this took FOREVER, but I was never in critical danger so long as I didn't try to melee him when he landed. His bite attack does stoopid damage. -
Forget effects plugins that model individual strands of hair, teeth modeling plugins are the new hotness.

Odenkirk is a surprisingly good dramatic actor. I think most people immediately associate him with being a comedian, and rightfully so, but the guy has range.

At this rate, they're going to exhaust the world's supply of 32nd notes.

I'm getting a Betrayal at Krondor vibe.

So the dreaded soft reboot then?
-
Would it have killed them to call it Suicide Squad 2?
-
Wait, is this a sequel or are they rebooting a movie that came out not even 5 years ago?

Right now you can tame boars, wolves, and lox (big sorta wooly mammoth looking things). You can breed boars, I think you can breed wolves (haven't tried yet), and I'm pretty sure you can't breed lox (yet?) This is the teaser image for the upcoming Hearth & Home update: Per birds, perhaps?
-
The devs have made a critical mistake, though. They haven't added cats (yet?) to get those all important @LadyCrimson dollars.

I tamed a pair of boars. The one closer is Letitia, the other is Rumsfeld: I made sure they had plenty of food and left them alone for a while... I came back later to find:

I've been exploring a lot in Valheim and I'm barely making a dent in the map, the full world size is just so gargantuan. I can walk through the meadows and black forest biomes with impunity, nothing scares me there. I even recently meleed a 2 star troll (1 star enemies are stronger than usual, 2 star a way stronger). I'm only mildly concerned in the swamp and mountain biomes. In the swamp only blobs and oozes worry me and only if I don't drink my poison resistance mead. Nothing that does physical damage can get through my armor there. In the mountains I only fear stone golems, but they are easy enough to avoid/escape. The plains is the only biome where I have to be really careful. Loxes are easy enough; they can do a lot of damage but are a piece of cake to kite and go down from a half dozen or so arrows. Deathquitos can do a decent chunk of damage if I don't block with my shield and they get on top of you quickly, but I can 1-shot them with my silver sword. Fulings are relatively easy 1 on 1, but are quite dangerous in packs. Fuling berserkers are straight up frightening. I have some wacky ideas for a fortress and town to build, but I'm holding off until the Hearth & Home update arrives (hopefully soon) as that's sure to have some new building pieces. In the meantime, I'm trying to find the summoning altar of boss #4. I know it's a dragon and I've found dragon eggs in the mountains, so those are likely used to summon said boss and said boss is likely in a mountain biome somewhere.
