  1. So, Ryan "Icculus" Gordon made the 1980 text adventure classic Zork multiplayer, because why not: https://www.patreon.com/posts/54997062
  2. I think the most comical outcome would be the world uniting and finally fully eradicating COVID in all its variants. 1 instant later vacuum dacay rewrites the laws of physics and wipes out all life as we know it. #NihilismGetTheSensation
  3. ^ I like that the outfits look very utilitarian. It's not all shimmering robes and leather corsets with so much ornamentation on the bosom.
  4. I should cut the mods some slack. 5 years from now when the Upsilon strain is ravaging the planet it's going to keep getting harder and harder to come up with snazzy titles for the 23rd version of this thread.
  5. Not incorporating "delta" into the thread title. Opportunity missed.
  6. I don't much care about the branding, they could call it Oomba Goomba for all I care. On a serious note, there's an opportunity for Intel to capture a piece of the market that's severely underserved right now, the low to mid range dedicated market. In the current gen we have APUs then there are expensive discrete GPUs, very expensive discrete GPUs, and ludicrously priced discrete GPUs. There's a gap there for discrete GPUs in the $150 - $250 range that offer a bit more oomph than APUs.
  7. That's bonkers that this is running on GZDoom.
  8. The slaw was not sweetened at all, it was more zesty than anything else. Also, this wasn't from the truck stop. I had enough time to drop my trailer at the truck stop then bobtail 3 miles down the road to a BBQ joint and back. I don't always have that luxury and have to settle for whatever is at the truck stop.
  9. "Healthy" Trucker Meal Deluxe:
  10. Same, it's one of the many reasons Majora's Mask is my favorite Zelda game. I also have The Sexy Brutale on my radar. That's supposedly another well made time loop mystery game.
  11. I scooped up The Forgotten City. I had heard of this back when it was a Skyrim mod, but I never actually played it. This was without a doubt the most famous Skyrim mod (yes, somehow even more famous than the nude mods) and it received much acclaim for its quality writing. The team behind the mod formed their own studio and expanded on the mod turning it into a standalone game. Reviews of the game have been overwhelmingly positive, even snarky curmudgeon Yahtzee liked the game (by liked I mean he didn't completely $#!+ on it, which is high praise from him). Anyway, it's supposed to be combat-light and narrative-heavy, which is right up my alley, so I went ahead and pulled the trigger on it.
  12. I finished the Assassin's Creed Rogue story and now I'm doing the best part of the game, the Legendary Battles. Naval battles are the most fun thing in the game in general, and the Legendary Battles are the most fun naval battles. I remember that when I played Black Flag I was never able to beat the final and hardest Legendary Battle, I wonder if I'll manage to do it in this game. Those battles get gloriously chaotic. Smoke everywhere, waves bouncing you around, mortar fire raining down around you, all while you desperately try to line up a broadside volley. Good times!
  13. I'm never a fan of any outlet getting deplatformed and silenced for "misinformation" because who decides what information is "credible"? I mean, Fauci himself had a hand in discrediting the lab leak theory when he knew damn well that it was very plausible.
  14. I'm under no illusion that chicarrones are healthy, but they are completely devoid of carbs. Also, if you consider a typical bag of chips to have a few carbs then we have significantly different definitions of "a few".
  15. Hype level rising. Rising.
  16. No buns because I'm trying to keep carbs at a minimum. Sometimes, I'll get the buns and feed em to the birds, but I didn't see any around and I hate wasting food. As an aside, when I'm trying to keep carbs ultra low my go to snack is fried pork skins. It's similar enough to chips and cheese puffs in texture and crunch that I can fool my mouth and brain into thinking I'm eating a snack that would ordinarily be loaded with carbs.
  17. "Healthy" Trucker Diet:
  18. Avoiding wolves, tigers, scorpions, and snakes was the video games of the Neolithic Age.
  19. I had to google "mambo sauce". Turns out it's extra sweet bbq sauce.
  20. I do love me some Ancient Aliens. I find the show highly entertaining, and while I find their arguments interesting and I like to keep an open mind, I don't consider their evidence particularly conclusive. I do agree with the show that the mainstream view on the dawn of civilization is wrong. My personal view is that civilization started MUCH earlier than we've generally been taught and that ancient man was a lot smarter than we generally give them credit for. I'm not convinced that these megalithic structures were built by and/or with the help of aliens, what I do believe is that the people that built them were a lot more advanced than we generally believe.
  21. Free demo of Tales of Arise coming in a week: Sadly, seems there's no PC demo.
