@Fellow Obsidian Order Members: I'm getting scared.
The Obsidian Order stands for this: To support Obsidian knowing this studio will do its best (and more!) to make a RPG worthy of the title: Classic in the Genre. Any and all 'demands' made in our name are made by those with a misguided sense of entitlement, which goes against the very idea of the Order. We are a collection enthusiasts; of supporters; of well-wishers. That at least, is what I feel my title stands for - a custom title that is a generous token of appreciation in itself.

Large herbivores, please
Creatures like this were a cool concept in Risen: they only became hostile if you attacked them or became too prominent on their territory. Felt kind of natural.

Large herbivores, please
Pretty cool idea actually. Wouldn't mind a triceratops wandering the woods!

My fwiw kickstarter economic analysis regarding the rift between the traditionalists and evolutionists
Ha! Well, I don’t like DA:O at all and never even bothered with ME. My favourites are Baldur’s Gate and Planescape; Lands of Lore and Divine Divinity, and more recently New Vegas and NWN2. Morrowind was great too. I frankly don’t care what ‘side’ I’m on – the mere concept is rather ridiculous – I just know my love for RPGs will never turn me into a narrow-minded fanatic who can’t enjoy a game because it doesn’t fit within his ultra specific (and deeply flawed) definition of ‘RPG’.

The war. Give me a break.

My fwiw kickstarter economic analysis regarding the rift between the traditionalists and evolutionists
That is not the only use or definition of the word maturity. “Maturity is a psychological term used to indicate how a person responds to the circumstances or environment in an appropriate manner. This response is generally learned rather than instinctive, and is not determined by one's age.” Know what you are talking about before posting, thank you. And who decides what is the appropriate manner ? You ? The majority ? Society ? Liberals ? I think I'll decide for myself, thank you. That is another question entirely. My post suggested in no way others decide things for you: it merely tackled your all to narrow interpretation of the word maturity. Your ability to completely misread and/or wilfully misinterpret other people’s posts is quite staggering.

Hilarious, isn’t it? This entire thread is, really.

Am I the only one vaguely uneasy about the reward tiers over $1,000?
Macbeth replied to Death Machine Miyagi's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I can understand that you fear a tad of incompetence, Miyagi, but again, the devs are bound to step in and make sure all items fit well into the word of Project Eternity. As for rejected designs, I think there will be few of them in the first place as you’ll design your item through designer sheets they’ll send you. Revoking rewards and all that, I really doubt it will ever come to that.

$10,000 and 10x Digital copies.
Who cares what it is? What it is, is the entire point! And that’s Kickstarter, not a warehouse. You pledge a sum because you want to see this game made, you don’t pay to get copies of the game in bulk. Think it over: every digital copy you receive you’ll pass on to friends and relatives because you have no use for five PE serial numbers. That’s fine, there’s nothing wrong with that but of course it’s a ‘loss’: those are five or ten copies that go to (otherwise) prospective buyers. To give more free digital copies is economically unfavourable for Obsidian. Digital, so no loss – really ...
