I tend to favor this hypothesis because it doesn't require a mysterious unknown particle (e.g. Axions) or weird physics (e.g. MOND). Just normal physics will suffice.
Perhaps, but the later you get it, the higher your odds of surviving it. They've already reduce the risk of severe symptoms quite significantly. If you manage to avoid it for a year, then a vaccine may further improve your odds.
Strange to think that young people are reaching adulthood now that weren't even alive when this happened. It seems like it was almost yesterday. They did do a nice job of memorializing it.
Every year I watch this game just gets slower and slower. I don't even bother watching games that don't involve the local teams any more. It's dull. Too many breaks, reviews, penalties, ads, and people just standing around.
