  1. I guess I'll have to buy 'The White Album' again.
  2. Soft coup in progress. We're making our elections "secure". Nothing to see here folks; move along now.
  3. Greenland is emitting toxic levels of Mercury. Sounds like a fine place. Greenland’s ice sheet is releasing huge amounts of mercury into rivers
  4. Fusion is only twenty years away... and it always will be.
  5. I like to think of it this way: if those nations didn't fund new vaccine development in record time, it would take even longer for everybody else to get a vaccine. The fact that they are getting the vaccines first is what motivated the spending in the first place. Sure it's selfish, but it's human nature to take care of your own first.
  6. I'm sure you're all familiar with the Christie tank design, which was offered to the US army but rejected. Some consider that design an ancestor of the T-34, and there are some striking similarities in the wheels and suspension. Definitely a spark of intelligence at work there.
  7. SF General Hospital has 0 COVID-19 hospitalizations for 1st time in more than year Man I'll bet that feels good. Vacations for everybody...
  8. 21 runners dead following extreme weather at Chinese ultramarathon Yikes. Now that's hard core mode. My sympathies.
  9. In a nutshell. Depending on the nut.
  10. Must be that Bomb Making 101 class you all take.
  11. Just more evidence that intelligence doesn't always equate to wisdom. For example, a group more likely to become terrorist bombers are engineers, which is the opposite of what you'd expect. They just tend to view bombing as an engineered solution to a problem.
  12. If I had to pick, I'd be happier to see the Dems in control of the Senate as insurance in case the Don somehow gets relected. That lunatic needs some serious checks and balances.
  13. Australian Aluminum-Ion Battery Promises 60X Increase In Charging Speed I'm a little skeptical, but maybe this really is true. Or maybe it's a self-chilling can hoax. Firms Still Try for Self-Chilling Cans Despite Idea's Tarnished Reputation
  14. Politically polarized brains share an intolerance of uncertainty
