rjshae replied to Folie a deux's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I had a thought. For the sake of drama, one of the existing full companions could get a glorious death at a key moment in the campaign. One of the sidekicks could then be elevated to a full companion in the expansion as a fill-in.- Random thoughts about class system
rjshae replied to MaxQuest's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)This isn't particle physics, so I don't see a need for the designers to skew to some symmetrical class relationship. I'd rather see them improve and enhance the current classes.- CAN WE PLEASE GET A MEANINGFUL FIG UPDATE!
rjshae replied to firkraag888's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Meh, isn't it better if they're working on the actual game rather than wasting time on making detailed updates?- Modding scene videos

I see Trump's "thin-skin brigade" has been busy. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-39828336- Ydwin to return in the expansion?
rjshae replied to Folie a deux's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)She's probably old enough to be your grandmother, keeps her three re-animated husbands in her cellar, and collects coprolites for a crap museum.- Do all classes have an ability resource cost now?
rjshae replied to Infinitron's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Numbers are harder to get confused over than abstract icons though. Not to mention that there isn't all that much space in those thumbnails. Not as long as the number of icons remain low and their footprint is small. Humans can easily recognize 3-4 objects at a glance. True, however since some abilities are one point per use, you would have some thumbnails with 10 icons over them. Huh? One point per use = @- Do all classes have an ability resource cost now?

rjshae replied to Infinitron's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)If it were me I'd get rid of the negative numbers and replace them with a matching number of icons. For example, -4 becomes @@@@. That will make it look less like a math problem.- Pillars of Eternity guidebook Volume 2.. will it happen?
rjshae replied to Kravshera's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)If they delivered it now it would be a misguidebook.- Ydwin to return in the expansion?
rjshae replied to Folie a deux's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)There's a natural selection process at work. Athletic people tend to be more physically attractive due to symmetry. Adventurers tend to not be old due to attrition. http://www.today.com/health/why-good-athletes-are-good-looking-too-2D12054705- What's so Funny?

rjshae replied to Folie a deux's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)It's not any one thing, it's the combination of pixie haircut, elf ears, spectacles, and short skirt. The short skirt is a good point. It doesn't quite fit in with the normal renaissance era attire. Maybe she needs some interesting tattoos to throw off the anime scent?- Ydwin to return in the expansion?
rjshae replied to Folie a deux's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Eyeglasses have been around since the 13th century. It's hardly breaking verisimilitude to include them in a renaissance era civilization.- Modding scene videos

rjshae replied to SonicMage117's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)The whole Fulvano's voyage thing didn't work for me. I didn't care about the Fishing and Sea Monsters stretch goal either -- that part stretched on for much too long. Otherwise I thought it was all top notch. The multi-classing explanation was the highlight for me and I'm looking forward to seeing that in action.- Q @ Devs: Will PoE2 have the gesturing portraits during conversation as in Tyranny?
rjshae replied to smjjames's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)NWN used portraits; NWN2 used 3D models. For the most part I didn't think it was an improvement. 3D models are satisfactory, but not as memorable as good oil-based art.- Ydwin to return in the expansion?
rjshae replied to Folie a deux's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)The opposite of an anime character would be... what? It's just a drawing style, right? All this anti-anime verbiage seems irrelevant.- What's so Funny?
