Rather than a full-blown PoE3, I almost think they should try something lighter as an interlude. Like a mid-length story centered around a specific character in a new environment. They could hire a writer to develop the character. A party of just a couple of characters (the main PC and a side kick) would be easier to write, voice, and animate. The battles would be smaller and could be more meaningful.

It's a direct sequel, so it has to be better than the first game to succeed. While there were good improvements to the mechanics and the graphics, those aren't the types of changes that will increase sales significantly. If you look at BG2, you get to keep the levels you earned in BG, and the character interactions were more interesting. With PoE2, you got stripped off all you'd accomplished, and the character interactions were about the same. Plus it seems harder to become engaged in the main plot of PoE2; you're basically chasing down a deity for some other deities, with no real motivation to do so. I think the game would actually have worked better if you stripped out the deity plot until the very end, and let you just explore and deal with the factions.

Pretty crazy Monday night game last night, but fun to watch. To be honest, it would have been fair if it ended in a tie.

Seattle Sounders win the MLS cup for the second time. Su-weet!!! Toronto made us earn it though. It was a nerve-wracking first 57 minutes before we finally scored. What a feeling winning the championship in front of your own fans though.

It's not perfect, but I could live with that in my neighborhood. I wonder how much that cost?

For the first three quarters of 2019, video game sales have been triple the movie box office take: https://www.syfy.com/syfywire/gaming-game-sales-triple-us-movie-box-office-and-more Total for gaming: $27.9 billion Game, set, and match. Perhaps it's time for Hollywood to take this medium seriously?
