I couldn't agree more. 'Pillars of Eternity' is our chance to show the RPG gaming industry they are headed the wrong way, or at least that more games addressed to mature audiences are released. There should be more titles like Baldur's Gate I&II, Fallout I&II, Planescape: Torment and I really hope 'Pillars of Eternity' imminent huge success is going to send a loud message to producers. I don't think Pillars will Save The Industry. I just want it to be a good game. And, honestly, that's all it should be.

Yes, we take harmless concepts like sexism in media too seriously. I'm pretty sure that if it is censored, that means they don't want that stuff on their forums. Especially towards other users.

I wouldn't place CDP on that high of a pedestal. They are just people, like any developer. They do amazing work, but nothing that couldn't be done by any other team. I'd call the Oculus Rift team on the cutting edge, pushing the envelope, instead of CDP.

Making your own engine (or even modifying one) takes so much time, since there are so many technical aspects.

Guys... I - I... I think I'm done with Steam as my primary source of gamecome (games/income). HumbleStore gives half my munies to charities. Origin nets me airline miles. What does Steam do? Give me cards that net me three cents that I can use to buy moar games from Steam? I mean, I'll still use Steam. I'll still buy the big co-op games that I know people will be playing on Steam... and of course HB is Steam-friendly but there are just better alternatives for me at this point... Steam isn't even a leader in sales anymore. They just don't want to innovate, acting like it is still 2009. I feel weird. edit: wtf why is this grey

Just saw episode one of Silicon Valley. So good, and every single portrayal of Asperger's was amazing. Better than Community or Parenthood.

If you can't find a way to make your show interesting for 17 out of 22 episodes, then it is not because "this is how it needs to set up". It's because you have a piss-poor creative team.
