  1. Is there a console function that lets you change the companion party limit?
  2. Hopefully POE 2 has some kind of basic toolset that lets us mod the game. I hope Obsidian adopts a strategy to incorporate modding into POE 2 from the ground up.
  3. POE got me into the scene of old school CRPG's and I'm thankful for that
  4. Arcade games like pacman are for challenge, not immersion. Hence arcade games give you up to three lives so you can continue to rise up to that challenge. An RPG offers both immersion & challenge. In order to preserve immersion for Trial of Iron your character only has one life, like in real life. Therefore Trial of Iron/Ironman need to be approched with the following questions in mind: 1. How can I survive this challenge? 2. How can I show the enemy no mercy? 3. How can I bring such overwhelming force as to ensure victory in every battle? 4. How can I understand my characters point of view in regards to survival? Trial of Iron, Ironman, No death ruleset is supposed to make you learn a game in its entiriety, forcing you to explore every possible nook and cranny of the game to help you become victorious. In nearly every fight, I have the wizard & priest use ALL their spells. I don't give the enemy an ounce of mercy on POTD, TOI. Doing Trial of Iron in any game for the first time is challenging. However, if you keep at it, it's going to change your gaming style completely. You'll reach a point where you'll never save scum again. Of course, playing Ironman takes far more time than normal. I can partially agree with you for time's sake. Some people want to enjoy Trial of Iron, Ironman, No Death rulest, but they don't have the time. So perhaps some middle ground is in order. I speak from experience. I used to livestream @ twitch.tv/luzarius doing no death rulesets for many RPG games. I've found from speaking to a vast amount of gamers that they genuinely want to try Ironman, but simply lack the time that is required.
  5. Update, I was also able to kill the caravan on POTD with a druid. Save two sunbeams for the caravan guards & odema, then transform into boar form, you'll need a minor bit of luck so you may have to restart if on TOI. So Monk & Druid, can anyone else give update on how they killed caravan on POTD? It's confirmed, CRUEL characters have no need for water. Shortly after my Druid was completely annihilated on POTD by a whelp of a skuld. I went into boar form and *miss* *miss* *miss* *miss* *miss* *DEAD*.
  6. So what's the asset of slaying the caravan if you get no loot, no experience and no disposition towards cruel and aggressive? I can confirm that you do get 1 point of cruelty after slaughtering the caravan. I spoke with Heodan and chose the cruel option, but that still didn't give me a point in cruelty. It was only when I attacked and slaughtered the caravan did I get 1 cruelty point. I still don't understand why we can't get the waterskin despite attacking the caravan. I think cruel people have an innate ability to absorb water vapor from the air, hence not needing the waterskin. Can someone confirm? WAITING IN LINE: For the record, I cannot kill the caravan on POTD using a fighter no matter what I try. If someone figures it out please let me know. I could use the Increased Reach strategy, but I'd rather not do that, doesn't feel right. * Odema always has at least 2-3 bubbles left before I run out of both health & endurance. * I drank the beer that was provided before fighting the caravan. * I used Brigandine armor. * I tried dual wield daggers, didn't work. * I tried single hand spear, didn't work. * I tried great sword, didn't work. A monk could definitely do it with Torment's reach.
  7. I tried this just for fun. * I was not able to loot the caravan after killing them. * I was also not able to get a sackful of water, how are you going to clean the wall later in cilant? Isn't the character sick? Shouldn't you at least get a sackful of water after slaughtering everyone? Being cruel is tiresome work, gotta quench that thirst.
  8. I tried playing a melee rogue, I'd wait until enemies were engaged with my tank, then I'd have the rogue go and flank. The problem is the NPC's will often just turn around and take the rogue down in a few hits. Am I missing something here? Even with consecrated ground, the rogue seems a bit too flimsy. I realize I can make the rogue do ranged DPS, but I'd rather play a Ranger in that case so I can get the extra off tank bear companion.
  9. This is a common tactic to keep straight people at bay so they don't voice their opinions. The LGBT have a guilt/insult tactic that works quite well for them. If you complain about gay crap, then someone will try to claim your gay. If you complain about gay crap, someone will label you a bigot or a MASSAGINIST (Purposely misspelling it). Sorry, that is not going to work. Here is the problem, * Too much gay on TV, it's getting annoying. At first I tolerated it, but it's getting worse. My kindness and tolerance are being taken advantage of. I'm not alone, google too much gay on tv. * An LGBT writer decides that straight males should be attracted to a transgender aka Cassandra Pentaghast looking like a god damn man. Some self righteous LGBT telling straight guy to look for a chick's inner beauty despite her looking like a transgender, F that. Then the only other option is Josephine who got hit hard with the ugly stick. * Adding the gayest possible scenes to Game of Thrones when they weren't even there to begin with. I used to not give a damn and wanted LGBT to be happy, but when LGBT start pro-actively ****ing with straight males, then there's a problem. I'm purposely going to vote against any special rights/privelages for LGBT because David Gaider chose to make Cassandra Pentaghast look like a man and piss off straight male gamers, two can play at that game.
  10. " Dude you are clearly trolling now when you say things like " I'm gonna see gay men walking around holding hands " So I wont take the bait I'm dead serious. I don't like it, but I don't really have a choice. I genuinely want to see these people happy, but at the same time my mind and body reject the concept, it's nauseating unfortunately. *sigh* Any gay guys here, just know that when people see you affectionate in public, you're making them sick to their stomach, but we'll tolerate it for your happiness. A normal human being without mental trauma looks upon such things as a sickness of the mind. (CONTROVERSIAL TERRITORY ENTERED). You guys can start calling me names now. I'm not sure to take you seriously so because I have time I will assume you are being serious Lets start with this, if you want members of LGBT community to be happy why are you against same sex marriage. Thats what the LGBT community want, they want legal equality in things like marriage ? Marriage is about having a kid through intercourse. Gay people can't do that. So what's the point of getting married? The point of marriage is this: 1. have a kid through intercourse 2. make sure you raise the kid so others don't have to 3. make sure mom & dad stay together through marriage to ensure the kid doesn't burden the world If you want public recogniition of being married, just print out "WE'RE MARRIED" in microsoft word and stamp it on your back with your partner. OR just get him a RING. I just want to add that if I had two gay guys as parents, I'd probably kill myself. A female mother's affection cannot be replaced by a gay man. Still, if you guys want gay marriage I'll support it, but it just doesn't make any sense. You're only hurting yourselves and the life of a child if you choose to raise one. Denying a child the love from a female mother is absolute cruelty in its highest form. Then again the world isn't perfect and some mothers are dead beats, so in the end who gives a **** if there is same sex marriage. The world is already ****ed up, why not let it be even more ****ed up? I'll support same sex marriage just for you guys just to watch and see what happens. *eats popcorn*. Like I said the world is already messed up, we might as well **** it up even more.
  11. *sigh* If you want I could lie to you guys, but I'm telling you how a straight guy like me feels when he sees this gay stuff in public or on TV. Any gay guys here, just know that when people see you affectionate in public, you're making them sick to their stomach, they're just tolerating it out of kindness. A normal human being without mental trauma looks upon such things as a sickness of the mind. (CONTROVERSIAL TERRITORY ENTERED). You guys can start calling me names now, go on be your true self.
  12. 1. Have the pet as a front line off tank. 2. Make sure they're standing on consecrated ground (heal spell the priest casts). 3. When they're at 3 bubble of health, have them disengage while they regen health. 4. Find an alternate person to fill the gap temporarily. NOTE: Sometimes it's okay to let the pet get knocked out towards the end of combat, because by the end of the battle he's served his purpose by tanking enough to protect the squishies in the back who should've annihilated the enemy by now.
  13. I've never used traps, now with the 1.05 patch I never have to worry about using them.
  14. Did they figure out a way for two men to give birth to a baby? That's incredible. On a serious note, I find it disturbing. It doesn't make any sense. The scary thing is that by the time I'm 20 years older, I'm gonna see gay men walking around holding hands and ****. Oh god lol. So disturbing. No wonder Cassandra Pentaghast looks like a man.
  15. That's fine, I got a refund for DAI. They lost $59.99. Right now the people at Bioware are regretting every decision they made as they watch the success of Witcher 3 cast a vast shadow over little, itty, bitty DAI and all it's mannish, ugly women. Skyrim completely destroyed DAI in sales, now Witcher 3 will completely destroy Inquisition in sales. What does Skyrim & Witcher series have in common? Beautiful women and/or the ability to allow the creation of beautiful women. It just goes to show, making women look like men and lecturing gamers on transgenderism hurts sales. HEY BIOWARE, don't give in to political correct LGBT and feminists. Go to Anita Sark and beg for your balls back, she keeps them in a jar on her shelf at her desk.
  16. Google Witcher cards and you will see artistic drawings of women in Witcher one. As you can see there is a diverse variety of women displayed. Yes, the 3D models could've been better, they could always be better, but if you supplement it with a beautiful 2D drawing, that's good too. Pillars of Eternity took this approach, for example the 3D models don't need to be that great, but they still give us 2D portraits to look at. Go look at images of beautiful women who wake up in the morning with no make up, then check them out with make up. Without make up, they are the most common looking women. What separates hot women from plain women is an artistic ability to hide imperfections through make up. These women know there is power in beauty and they take full advantage of it. Humans have a natural yearning to achieve perfection. It should never be discouraged. The ones who don't seek it, are simply lazy. There is diversity in Witcher One. Compare her: TO HER:
  17. I was close to joining #gamergate because of Dragon Age Inquisition, but I'm going to hold off on that. I think DAI was a rare occurance and hopefully a game like DAI will never, ever happen again.
  18. Bioware does not want their games modded anymore so they can force their political agenda down your throat.
  19. Seriously? Which ones don't you like? I'm curious.
  20. I checked out Witcher 3, the women actually look like women. You don't know how pleased I am. Bioware needs to learn from CDProjectRED. Let's compare: Triss looks like a woman, Cassandra Pentaghast looks like a man. Ciri is simply gorgeous, Sera looks like gollum. Yennefer's beauty captures the imagination, Josephine's face is terrifying.
  21. Heh, I remember how frustrating this game was when I first played it. Give it time and you'll love it. The combat keeps getting more and more in depth as you play. You'll be playing on Path of the Damed in no time, given the fact you did Nightmare in DAO.
  22. Gives me great pleasure to see 22 people who attempt POTD/Hard/TOI/IM on their first attempt. It's hard to do a 100% blind play through. I usually die a few times and then experience the last 50% of the game completely blind and beat end boss on the first try. This of course is not that hard since most RPG's let you be ultra powerful by end game, but still.
  23. I searched to see if someone made a post on this already, but no one did. I don't mean to make too many posts, but I just want to say this was an excellent quest. Even though it didn't have any voice acting, it was very entertaining surprisingly. I also like the music a lot in Defiance Bay. I wonder if Mr. Bell is a fan of Basil Poledouris, probably a silly question Svef Den for the win.
  24. I like Sagani, but still would've preferred Calisca.
