I always thought that Divine Divinity handled the fog of war quite uniquely, for the simple fact that ones skills (I believe Ranger and Elven sight) could modify ones viewing distance. I don't believe that i've seen this used before or since. Diablo 1 and 2 ? (The games that Divine Divinity ripped off), granted it was more items

*P*robably I use a Logitech Desktop mic which I bought in 2005. Still going strong. Gonna use that for my PE beta play through, but if the audio isn't good enough then I may upgrade to a proper setup or something.

Upon inspection of some of the newegg reviews such as http://www.newegg.com/global/au/Product/SingleProductReview.aspx?ReviewID=3979372&Item=20-178-455 it seems despite a first look at the first page of search results giving 4/5 stars it seems that many users are reporting stuttering issues with games. I'd send your drive back on warranty. re: ocz, sandforce I have an OCZ Vertex 2 60GB in my main machine, which I bought in 2009. I have literally not had a problem with it. Sandforce was once the best SSD controller, but now it isn't.

There already is. If you watch the gameplay demonstration video there's already a bit of dry humor in the dialogue such as Calisca's "I can't force you to have a personality" and the player response "I want to fall in love".

I would have googled the drive before buying it

Spiritshift is a limited use ability (probably x/per day use) that lasts for the duration of an encounter, so in certain encounters during an adventuring day you could play the druid in melee via the use of spiritshift. While not spiritshifting, the druid is not naturally good at melee, so using a ranged weapon may be preferable.

Fair enough. Moving forward, how does the pathfinding correspond to the fog of war? Does it take units obscured by it into account? (I don't think that's a common practice in modern RTS games).

Officially announced actual date of release. If the release date is announced and then pushed back to a second date, the people that guessed the second date are the winners.

They said they were going to do an update before the beta launch with the details about it. There's also the issue of beta tier purchases for already completed pledges not being added to the backer site functionality yet. We also got the impression that the option to buy a beta key would be taken down from one of the UK interviews), indicating that there would not be an "early access".

I admit I am kind of surprised that we have not had the "beta update" yet, considering there's less than a week until Gamescom and Gen Con and 10.5 days until the beta launch.

A quick google shows that this stuttering also happens to many other users of this drive and the 240GB version of this drive, so I'd say it's just the drive. They probably had some faulty batches.

I don't think it has been known since 2012 that it would look so bad in practice. Hence the discussion now... I'll have to wait until I get home to search, but I've known that 2D paperdolls were not going to be used for like 1.5 years at least, but I read all of the newsbits.
