I've been thinking of buying Ghost Recon Wildlands for the same reasons Lexx mentioned. Oh well, I spent this months game money on Lightning Returns, Forza Horizon and Alan Wake. This means no new games till August. I'll probably buy it for the PS4 and comeback here to see if one of you lads wants to coop with me.

RANDOM VIDEO GAME NEWS - BATTLE ROYALE
Katphood replied to Blarghagh's topic in Computer and Console
I need a Switch for this game alone, and I'll buy one around January. -
Well, it's that time of the year again:
-
I bought these: -FF: Lightning Returns(PS3) -Forza Horizon(360) -Forza Motorsport 3/Alan Wake bunduru(360) Both Alan Wake and Forza Horizon are BC on the Xbone which is why I bought them, not sure about Forza Motorsport 3 though.

Prey? Pffft, come on now, I was just about to install black ops 3. Never played the MP so I guess I'll give it a go. I would install Titanfall 2 instead but at this point I am pretty sure the MP portion of the game is either dead or close to it. EDIT: ahhh, screw all three of them, I am as high as a kite right now so I'll just play Virginia instead.

Russia played great and they made one hell of a comeback last night, they didn't give up that easily.
-
England VS Russia would have been very interesting...

I've been watching WC since 1994 and this WC has been one of the most entertaining so far. I also liked 1998. In 2006 I was at the stadium in both Iran VS Mexico and Iran VS Portugal.

BroForce. It's like a combination between Super Meatboy and Contra. It's fun when the ceiling isn't collapsing on your head. I had the same problem and Fenixp suggested that I should use Stealth to avoid enemies. I'll get back to it someday.

South American teams haven't been the same since 2006. Brazil needs another Rivaldo/Ronaldo/Ronaldinho and Argentina needs another Batistuta/Ayala/no, not you Maradona/ Veron. Uruguauy was the only south american team that was prominent even though they didn't have Diego Forlan anymore. I also want to jump in the bandwagon and say that 'it really sucked that Cavani was absent from the France VS Uruguay match'. He is young and he is a brilliant finisher, just like Forlan.
-
France VS Belgium in the semi-finals. Another semi-finals with zero south american teams...joga bonito!!!
-
France played better and I doubt Cavani could have really changed the result. The french defense didn't let Suarez do much and the Uruguaian goalkeeper made a fatal mistake with the second goal, that goal killed the match for Uruguay.

Shadow Complex Remastered which is awesome, without a doubt one of the best metroidvania games I have ever played. Graphics might not be top of the line but the gameplay and the level design feels very satisfying. It's just...fun! You know, I was wondering if I should just play the game on my OG Xbox. Man, consoles are such a bad thing to own...right up until the moment where your game(which you have bought with your -not so hard earned- money) stops working on the latest version of Windows. Consoles are not the result of evolution, god brought them into this world, for a reason.

Does the Steam version come with the fan balancing patch? This game can get super unplayable, with timed events that require 100% flawless execution. Woah, first time I am hearing that. Not sure, gotta play a little bit more. Pffft, I knew this was too close for comfort...

Finished Wolfenstein II. Great game all around. Some set pieces felt unfair at times but overall the the gameplay is still great. I also enjoyed the cinematics and thought they were done with much love and care. Though I have to admit something: the 'kill these 2 commanders, get their enigma codes and proceed to the next level' formula was starting to get old towards the end of the game. I hope Machine Games does something new with Wolfenstein: The Young Blood and the inevitible Wolfenstein III.

Yeah, 2002 was awful.
-
Rest in peace, Bart. My condolences.

I see, so it's a case similar to that of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Once it was out a lot of PC gamers found it interesting and were bent on emulating/porting that title. I think there are even mods for it.
-
Wow, it is possible to emulate PS3 games on the PC? Didn't knew about that. It would be nice to boost the graphics in Demon's Souls using a strong pc. It was Demon's Souls that needed a remaster, not Dark Souls.

True. It looked way better on my old pc with the high-res textures...and that 'brothel mod'. -
I had to get help from strangers during a few boss fights in Bloodborne because my heart couldn't handle the pressure. Back when Demon's Souls got released in the U.S(it took a year or so until it was eventually released in Europe) I managed to find a US copy of the game in a second hand gameshop in Vienna. I have no idea how it had ended up there or why I decided to buy it at all. I went in fresh and at first I thought to myself 'is this a joke?!'. I was very impressed by the graphics and the art style though so I decided to play some more. Eventually I managed to beat the first and the second boss. Once I reached world 2, I decided to summon someone and to my surprise, some dude showed up who happened to be armed to the teeth and all leveled up. I just followed the guy as he mowed down everything in his path all the way to the end boss. At one point I lost him in the caverns and had to wait for him until he showed up...scariest 10 minutes of my life! Eventually I fell in love with the game because the difficulty would always remind me of the good ol' days of the SNES. I had only a few bosses to beat until my PS3 hdd decided to mess with me so I had to do a system restore which deleted my bad ass character for good. And nope, there was no ps plus cloud save system back then. PS Plus offered Demon's Souls free to subscribers a few years back so I can hop back in and start a new character. This time I hope I can beat the game but there won't be no coop since the servers went offline a while back. Speaking of which, I had my older brother by me a gift card(I can only use prepaid cards bought in Austria since my account was made there while I was a student in Vienna and you can't change the region of your psn account ...thank you Sony! ) so now I have PS Plus till 1Q 2020. Hooray! *dances* All I have to do now is buy a new PS3 because I want to have a spare one in case my current PS3 goes kaput. For some reason, the ps3 is more near and dear to my heart compared to other consoles, can't live without one...unless Sony is working on a PS3 mini.

I noticed that I had Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth in my Steam library and decided to give it a go. No disappointed! No compatibility issues with windows 10, game runs fine, videos work and there is even widescreen support without the need of any mods or fixes. Basically, it works straight out of the box, something which is quite rare with older games on Steam. I am liking it btw, graphics are old but the attention to detail is still amazing and the atmosphere is spot on. Yeah, the co-op in Dark Souls(or Bloodborne) ain't exactly intuitive.

This is how Fallout 3 looks like in 4K when played on the Xbone X: -
I have the regular version of Dark Souls for the PS3 and bought the DLC separately on a sale. Damn, we could have done some co-op if I weren't such a lazy **** to begin with.

I thought Germany 2006 was great. We had: -Brazil's wonder team getting owned and knocked out by Zidane -C.Ronaldo annoying the **** out of Rooney to the point where he got angry and was sent off, just like Beckham in 1998. It also ended in a dramatic penalty shootout -a dramatic match between Argentina and Germany that ended in a penalty shootout...and a fight. -Germany being 100 percent sure they would win the WC and eventually being knocked out by Italy in the semi-finals with two goals which were scored by Grosso and Del Piero just before the game was about to end in a penalty shootout -J.Klinsman throwing an unhealthy amount of bottled water here and there during every single match, to the point where you'd think he has been busy taking a shower -Zidane and Materazzi going at each other -Zidane being sent off at the final match of his career
