  1. Woo.. Land Rover rules.. there is no other 4x4xFAR.. or whatever that is. My brother has an old Series III, and it's awesome taking it out for some (illegal) off-roading with it, even in Sweden.. it's nothing compared to driving around here in Tanzania though, where I am atm... If I was rich I would drive a Range Rover... http://www.christophergriffith.com/adm/pho...ngeRoverWEB.jpg and dare to do this with it too.. http://www.autogaleria.pl/tapety/img/land_...r_2003_02_m.jpg
  2. Gaining a few kilos would not hurt her though..
  3. Kiera would look way better if she wasn't so skinny...
  4. Canadians?.. good hockey.. not this year they didn't... only good hockey was from Sweden. Anyways, I thought about making a stupid political comment, but I succeeded on my save vs. ruin the thread so... Besides, discussing politics this close to the ex-BIS people would bring up too many good and even more bad memories from when Sawyer was running the BIS boards and he had that Philosophy/Religion/Politics forum thing going... man was I young and naive way back when... not claiming I'm less naive now, but I'm not young anymore... I do know now thought that arguing on the internet is really like comp.. you know the rest. Back on topic.. Hope you guys have a great day, and party hard tonight!..
  5. I think it matters more if you try not to yawn or so..
  6. I did, three times now... probably will again if I look at it. I'm much to easy to sway when it comes to that kind of stuff. I'm helpless when it comes to people yawning... heh, just yawned right now just thinking about it.. damn.
  7. Here in sweden they took away what resembles the penny (
  8. That was the chess game where the pieces would come alive and do battle right? Good times, good times. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oooh.. I remember that one, was awesome.. think I saw a port to PC like 10 years ago, have a slight memory of playing it on a PC atleast..
  9. That sucks.. wouldn't that be easy to do?.. Would be awesome to get some more diversity in PW enviroment atleast.. don't impact the OC much I guess but.. being of diffrent height than others in a PW would be cool.. without having to make a halfling or something..
  10. I think the height is in, since you can scale everything more or less..
  11. It was a though choice, but the bacon won over the sharp and pointy thing.. I might fashion my bacon into something sharp and pointy, then I would have a sharp and point thing made of bacon with autographs of everyone at obsidian on.. That would rock.
  12. A NwN PW, Galactic Civ 2, and Gothic 2, Mount & Blade, EU2... depending on what mood I'm in.. Just so you all will know what a hardcore RPG:er I am I will inform you that I also recently replayed both PS:T and Fallout... beautiful games.
  13. Hooked on computer gaming?.. First game was some wierd ascii one loaded from casette on Microbee comp with a monochrome orange screen where you were suppose to trap monsters (displayed as 0's) by moving blocks with your X character... What really got me hooked though was probably playing Giana sisters, Spy vs Spy and loads of other games on my Comandore 64..
  14. Yeah, can't believe the bacon hasn't got more votes.. should be winning..
  15. Firefly: TNG ftw! Edit: Honestly though, hopefully they'll make something more.. my Firefly needs have not yet been satisfied. A game maybe.. space/cowboy crpg?..
  16. Longer than you think it seems... taking figures I know from my studies, Paul is thought to have become about 60-70, born around the same time as Jesus, and died in the around 66 AD I think... Same with Peter and most of the apostles, i.e. the eye witnesses. Don't know about other historically, but I can't see any reason why other people wouldn't have become that old. More than you guys seem to think, it seems, since there is pretty many things with written stuff on it found from those days, like a rather huge portion of personal letters... Still you seem to think that people weren't as smart then as now, and that even though they perhaps couldn't write or didn't live longer than lets say 40 then, they would forget things after 40 years. There are traditions of orally remembering very very long stories and songs through several generations. It might seem strange because I can't remember what it was I was to do today that I thought of tomorrow if I don't write it down somewhere... I don't see any problem with it being 30-40 years before the documents we have now was initially written. Going by the most probably authors, Luke has meet the apostles and traveled together with Paul alot, and as he claims have done extensive research. Mark was one of Peters best friends. Matthew and John are supposedly the disciples, and thus eyewitnesses.. What's to say they didn't keep diaries or had written it down earlier, and the documents we have are compilations or something. There are theories of a much earlier source document for Matthew and Luke... etc. I'll admit my comparision was perhaps a little off... ok, they didn't have video at that time. But that doesn't mean they were as stupid and forgetful as we are today. Yeah, then that's my point... I don't get why they complain about the movie when the bible is pretty clear that it was the Jewish leaders that wanted him dead... wether the bible is anti-semetic or not... I don't think it is, but I can understand if someone with such motives could make it look so.
  17. cool case if nothing else... are you planning on running DOOM III with 2048x1600 and 500+ frames or something?...
  18. Depends on how you date them. Recently alot of theologians (?) have started dating Mark I think it is pretty early. And then there is the discussion about the source documents to explain the similarities between Matthew and Luke. Where do you get that from?... the oldest "book" in NT is supposedly the revelation and was written around 100 AD. Paul's letters (which makes up the bigger part of NT) are by most theologians/scientist dated before 70 AD, and Paul's own death in 66 was it? Also, there is the matter of keeping the story alive orally, without writing it down... Yeah, 30-40 years is a soooo long time... I mean there's no idea to write essays or books about WWII nowadays because it's been so long you know. There aren't many historian that doubt the historic person Jesus Christ. The fact that he lived and was crucified is pretty well accepted, concerning his resurection... there are doubters... on the subject of the movie being anti-semetic?... as Plucker pointed out, Jesus, himself, was a Jew, all of his first disciples were Jews, the whole first generation of christians were basically Jews etc... Am I missing something here?
  19. Thanks... Yeah, I do know that they are normal people... but that's the thing... it's really easy to say that I'm not a rascist until I meet someone diffrent, It's really easy to say that I'm not homofob until I'm put in such a situation... what I meant was that I can go around and say that I don't discriminate people, but when the situation really calls for proof, do I treat the person the same way as I treat anyone else?... ... get the point? Then I wonder what you believe in... if you question your faith when people quote the book that the faith is supposed to be based on. again.. I think I got missunderstood.. I think because I see things from the christian viewpoint and was thinking about why wether or not someone is homosexual seems to be such an big issue amongst some christians... On the other hand, what would you say that discrimination includes. Not allowing someone to be a pastor for a church because he is homosexual?.. ... If as you say, sexual orientation is on par with religion, wouldn't be equally discriminating to not allow a budhist to become the pastor of the same church? When religious freedom and other rights clash... which is most important?
  20. I hope it comes to sweden soon...
  21. I find the strongest argument for saying that homosexuality is.. not what God intended... in the first chapters of Genesis. God created man (as in humankind) in his own image, in the image of God he created her (as in the preposition used for humankind in general); male and female he created them. Male and female. And continuing, for this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. That was the original idea, male and female. And this point is above the question about the Genesis literal truth, if the world was created on 7 days or not. I don't believe Genesis describes how the world was made, but it does teach us some theological truths. The first chapters explains how it was intended to be. Three relations that were perfect. Humankind - God, Humankind - Creation, Male - Female. Then comes the fall and all three relations are broken and hurt. Humans become afraid of God, They blame eachother, and even blame God, for what they did, denying their own responsability, and as a consequence the relation between Humans and creation is broken too. Also, one point to notice is that it doesn't just describe one major big event in the past, the Fall is an ongoing thing. We continue to distrust God, and because of it, we fear him and we fear eachother. Thus, homosexuality is part of a falling world, it's not what God wants or intended. The good news though is that what Jesus did has enabled God to restore everything. I believe this to be true about homosexuality too, meaning that I believe it can be "cured" or that a person can be redeemed from it or something like that. My questions is why everyone seems to care so much about homosexuality though, when hate, lying, racism, sexism, violence and thousands of other things are so much more widespread, even within the christian community. Personally I think there are bigger problems in the world to focus our attention towards. I also would want to meet someone homosexual IRL, because I don't know if I have. Not because I would try to convert the person but to test myself, If I could overcome my own stereotypes, prejudice, and bigotry towards such a person. I want to know how I will act.
  22. I put the "burn in hell" thing in "" like I did again because I don't necesarily believe in the burning in hell thing literally... more the way that God lets those that don't want anything to do with him to... well... don't have anything to do with him... and since God is the source of existence and is everywhere... non-existence is, well, what hell is. eternal consequences, not an eternal punishment. "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall NOT PERISH but have eternal life"... perish usually don't mean to "burn forever in a lake of fire"... but oh well, same diffrence perhaps. On the second part, forcing anyone to anything seems wrong to me, I try to live my life the way I believe if people asks why I tell them, but I do practice my religion publically...
  23. Ok, just to defend myself, the text wasn't white when I posted this, more like grey... have they changed it recently or have I've gone insane.. the current one works nice enough for me to be happy. and thankts for making my thread into a big one, albeit off-topic...
  24. I felt like adding my two fundamentalist cents on this... While you seem educated in the old testament texts, you seem to forget the whole Jesus Christ and New Testament texts. My reason for not being to a recent stoning is because I am not without sin, and as Jesus said, he who is without sin cast the first stone. My reason for eating pork is because Jesus said that it's not what comes in through the mouth but what comes out (what I say) that makes a man unclean. My reason for associating with women during their menstrual cycle, well... depends what you mean with associating... ehh.. My reason for not advocating the killing of my enemies children is because Jesus said that I am to love my enemies. My reason for not having slaves is because slaves was a part of their culture and not mine. What Jesus did was (according to the bible that is) greater than most people think, he came to die for our sins, and fulfill the Law. As such, Paul says that as christians we no longer live under the law of sin, but live through the spirirt of God. The Law was there to show people their sins and even to make people sin!.. and it still is, but the NEW covenant is not that of the law, but that of the spirit. Gods (new) Law is to be written in our hearts as his spirit lives in us, and what the spirit says can be summed up in two simple phrases: To Love God with all your heart, mind, soul, strength, and to Love your neighbour as yourself. See, there really is no problem in taking the bible literate, and you don't have to choose what is the word and what isn't... It itself explains it to us if we only do read it. Still, arguing against things by taking a verse out of it's context like some christians do is like cutting the branch your sitting on... don't know if that picture translates well, but I think you get what I mean... I wonder if I made any sense... (love that smilie) ... and no I can't keep my religion private, to Quote someone famous amongst christians, "How can I be quite about what I've seen and heard!"... also, my saviour did tell me to "preach the gospel to the ends of the earth" ... and like Hades said, words means s***, actions means everything... that's why I try, like St Francis, preach the gospel whenever and wherever I am, and if I have to I use words... ... and yes, I'm a fundamentalist christian who think all of you will "burn in hell" if you don't repeant and start believing. So please be biggot towards me, so I can turn the other cheek. (I am serious, though I feel I did get a pretty non-seriousness about it by the time I got to the "... and" stuff...)
  25. Is it ok if I have a smilie in mine?... it's a picture afterall. Putting pictures in your sig is one of the few ways you can customize yourself on a board... I don't see why it shouldn't be allowed. I would limit it to one pic though... as I've done on Aozos...
