  1. Notepad is the ultimate CRPG..
  2. Cool thanks.. was looking around earlier and could only find pre-orders for the normal version.. http://nwn2forums.bioware.com/forums/viewt...72172&forum=100 If you're refering to that thread, I was under the impression that has changed now, and you actually get the NwN2 Toolset.. Otherwise, yeah.. really weird..
  3. Barbarella..
  4. Would that plane count as another dimension? I found the website rather fun to watch, with a smoth and nice narrarator and such.. probably could be an interesting read that book, but until we are able to fold any dimension and travel like that, I don't really care since it has about 0 impact on my day to day life.. oh cool, there are itty-bitty particles that vibrates in a mathematical theorised 10-th dimension.. Will that delay NwN2 anything?.. no?.. next topic. Still, discussing things for which my knowledge level mostly is base on reading various things on the internent is always fun.. Good ultimatum, since it can't be met. As I assume your defenition of "real" is probably defined by what we can see and experience as humans. But like electricity, the phenomena that those theories explain can be observed in day to day life, and are as such way more important to know about, and can't really be compared to M-Theory.. which, being a unification attempt, is just a theory that explains how other the effects of previous theories could work together and try to make up for their flaws.. and that we now still have to observe the phenomenas that the M-theory explains... or have I missunderstood that?
  5. What's the best place to pre-order the CE from in Sweden?.. Shaolin Kung-fu-fast edit: I still think the autographed bacon would've been lots of levels higher in coolness. Could we get an official statement as to why the bacon isn't included?.. or is that Atari's decision?
  6. One well used doormat then I guess.. since they seem to want to hang out together rather much... maybe it's because they feel sorry for me or something.. heh.. Enough about me myself and I.. starting to sound like a teenager or something. Talking about Depp and Keira... has anyone seen Dead man's chest yet?
  7. Since 3D is really all we as human can experience.. atleast as far as I know... Does it matter?..
  8. Galactic Civ 2, NwN, Gothic 2, and Minesweeper are the ones that I cycle through nowadays..
  9. If a job at Obsidian was the reason.. sure why not?.. not particulary rooted anywhere.. so that don't matter much to me. Hear they have warm weather all year around too.. definite plus that..
  10. You have got to be smoking something carpet-based. The mothership in that game could be wailed on by a team of drunken space-midgets. Let alone an SSD. I also object to the notion that landmines are in only a few places. http://unicef.org/sowc96pk/hidekill.htm Says 64 countries have 'em. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The Sajuuk is hardly the mothership... it's the end game super duper dreadnaught/mothership thing that the progenitors built etc.. it whips the Vaygr's butt and could do that with the SSD aswell... pfft!.. Missed the direct link http://shipyards.relicnews.com/hw2/kpr_sajuuk.htm And as for land mines.. yeah sure.. It's still not every country, and hardly everywhere in those countries either... Not big enough a reason to try to drive a APC to the shopping mall...
  11. *forum virgins go "hunh?"* <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's what everyone say.. looks don't matter.. it's personality etc.. then they all go... hey you're a great friend (which would imply I'm funny and clever I think) but not boy-friend material.. bleh.. <_<
  12. http://www.itsatrap.com/ :D Ninja-Edit: And I'm now going to start bugging him to death.. or until he gives me a job that is. Really, You brought it on yourself Chris.
  13. I happen to think it looks pretty good considering that they don't have the budget of Oblivion... compared to other indie RPGs it's actually close to the top graphics wise IMO..
  14. Just with all the need for .NET framework and stuff that's been coming recently I figured that was the case.. and it's the C++ variant that's been used where ever I've come in contact with C++ except at UNI, where we were cursed with Emacs... And with Vista and Micro$ofts general principle, it will probably become more dominant no?
  15. I find it suprising that you are suprised that ADD mentality is dominant on the internet... especially when it comes to forums. Even on a forum such as this, which is somewhat distant and niched compared to those of say Gamespot and similar places, the population trend surely indicate a growing dominance of "kiddies", which only serves as a popular name for those that show said ADD mentality. I do believe you've been along long enough to notice said trends, and therefore I believe it would not come as a suprise that such a menatlity pervades even these boards. Anyways, I think these Mechs are way cooler than the Linebacker one.. http://ppc.warhawkenterprises.com/mechbay/stonerhino.html http://ppc.warhawkenterprises.com/mechbay/timberwolfii.html And the Sajuuk would whip the SSD's butt any day.. http://shipyards.relicnews.com/hw2/index_hiigaran.html
  16. Language is secondary indeed. We had the basic courses in Java and Scheme, which is a Lisp dialect, only to teach us diffrent programming principles... the later courses we had was mostly in C++ and while wrestling with pointers and what not can be frustrating, it wasn't that hard to get into it really when you knew the basics of how to program... Right now I mostly use PHP.. or rather, it's the only language I've used for the last months. Having the task of creating a web based database interface for a music archive using PHP and MySQL kinda requires that.. heh.. Oh, yeah.. should get back to it I guess, and stop wasting time on the net.
  17. I think she's attractive, Just that she would be more attractive if she was less skinny.. .. and I still consider myself a man. Edit: Tell this girl she isn't attractive. http://hometown.aol.com/themasteer123/imag...-jk-10-1280.jpg
  18. "The portrait was all-important..." ... and with the 3D model making up the portrait this time around, I think great selection when it comes to looks is nice. "10% scaling" 10% both up and down would be enough though.. with all the races and stuff making for other forms of diversity. "I understand it'd probably be too time-extensive or something to implement like I'd wish, even if it was planned from the start." Why would it be? They have said you would be able to have NPCs scale dynamically when they spawn no? I don't see how it would be that big a thing to show a slider or similar control on character creation to set the scale variable for the PC, much like GW had. But then, what do I know, they've might have implemented PCs alot diffrent than NPCs when it comes to that sort of things, which would seem rather silly, especially having a feature for NPCs that PCs don't have.
  19. You know, the whole 3rd world.. where the best off-roading is IMO.. isn't filled with mines.. just stay out of places like Afganisthan, Sudan and Somalia and you should be pretty safe.. Sure, that goes for paramilitary people aswell I guess.. heh Anyways, my biggest reason for not choosing that or the Unimog is still the size..
  20. All this talk about the computer game everyone should love only made me want to play it again... Wonder if I should make a science-boy again..
  21. Land Rovers though, are small enough to be used in most civilized places and pass as a "normal" car, aswell as being able to go way off-road into the deep jungle or desert or savannah... which is why I choose it over the Unimog, which yes, is rather cool aswell... Which I think is a very nice bonus...
  22. Programming wise?.. .NET C++ is probably the major language, but what you want to do is learn how to program, not necessarily a language, those are easy enough if you just have the books around and know "programming"... And as said.. Linear Algebra (or what you call it in english, vectors, planes, and projections and stuff) I hear is used for 3D stuff.. Graphics design, GUI design.. Human Computer Interaction.. some AI... 3D modeling... Anyways, it all depends on what part of the process you want to be part of. I mean, if you're not going to make the game yourself... Still, if working at a game company is anything like working for other companies where you program design stuff.. What is necessary is a degree in something computer related. Then get a job. Then you learn what you need to know and how to do the stuff you're suppose to do there...
  23. Indeed.. I would say that such a description fits for the human race in general. But that is for another thread really, and such. So did you'll have a good 4th of July then?.. lots of bbq-ed meat and stuff.. lots of fireworks?..
  24. Was Kiera even born when V was airing?
  25. That reminds me of another thing that supposedly is great to eat. Faggots.
