  1. I kinda like the system whereby when someone runs out of health they die.
  2. Who actually still eats and McDonalds these days though.
  3. By the way, what's everyone's favourite type of cake? I quite like banana
  4. CRPGs are the only media that attempt to bring all those aspects together. You can't bake a cake with flour alone.
  5. That's just what they want you to think
  6. Correction, there are only 12
  7. Chris Taylor was lead designer on Fallout, and he did an amazing job.
  8. It was a sad day when Lucasarts had its corporate restructuring and gained its new president. I don't think it's any coincidence they've produced tripe since. Kind of like Blackisle after 'the event'. After that everything they brought out was crap. I have this theory, that it's basically because talented people can do whatever they like - writing, music, art, the list goes on. Most probably decided to work on computer games as a quirky hobby. Therefore when they get badly treated they're quick to move on. By that reasoning, the only talented people that will remain in computer game production are programmers.
  9. Not if their competition makes a cheap copy called red ray. Red always beats blue. There's no evidence for it, but it's scientific fact.
  10. King's Quest - first 3D RPG. Feel free to have the whole "it's not an RPG cos it doesn't have element X or function Y in it" argument. I cba though My generation invented the term RPG, so we'll use it as we bloody well please.
  11. My centaur could pull out a bow and shoot your mount down Whatcha gonna do about that? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Turn him to stone, then smash him into pieces. None of that "let's keep him in the palace so the hero can rescue him" nonsense for me
  12. I don't know what's worse; the stories being blown out of all proportion, or the people swallowing it. Either way this thread fails.
  13. Ponies are in and they didn't charge us $5 for them? Good God, what a missed opportunity
  14. No you haven't. They've been taught by intelligent people giving the illusion that they themselves are also. Then they try and pass on those teaching to people such as yourself, once again reinforcing the illusion. Is a parrot intelligent because it can mimic human speech? For your benifit that was a rhetorical question.
  15. It's the same pioneering technology they use to laser the flesh off womans' breasts to insert implants without leaving scars. Believe me it can and will easily burn people. Enjoy... I guess.
  16. That's true... lots of fun to be had there.
  17. Please, if you think someone's intelligent merely becasue they can bomb people or operate a camera then you should be conversing with the local primary school kids. They couldn't even set up their own nuclear facilities. They had to conscript the Russians to help them.
  18. Looks like they're going for a resident evil setting. Gothic setting, slow paced, creapy music, etc.
  19. It's not because they're not wearing a suit, it's because they're muslim. Anyone that believes in that wash has the mental age of a 2 year old.
  20. Or you could just buy a regular one and use the $990 you save to buy a zippo lighter if you're so keen on burning stuff.
  21. Well tbh Eldar if you're cynical like me you can see through this as a tactical decision by Obsidian to lay up an excuse for the singleplayer being crap. "Oh it's not our fault , you wanted us to spend more time on the DM client... In fact it's *your* fault."
  22. A nuke will never be fired unless the president and vice president are both incapacitated, leaving some crazy general guy in charge of the military. The cliche sort you see in Hollywood films. I mean let's face it, 9/11. Need I say more? If a nuke wasn't fired then, then a nuke will never be fired short of the previous paragraphs premises being fulfilled.
  23. Patches aren't always throw away stuff. In fact the infrequently are. Mostly they're bug fixes, so this if you're really look for a comparison I suppose this a bit like Obsidian saying "we're releasing the game broken, but with a DIY fix it kit".
  24. Well thank **** for that. For all we knew it could have been till 2007 before the bloody thing was out.
