Grabovski had 20 goals and 28 assists in 78 games. 48 points is pretty good, but I just don't think it's $2.9 million good. Like you said though, if he picks it up a bit it should be a good deal.

The Rangers aren't getting Heatley that cheap, especially not now that Ottawa had to pay out the $4 million bonus. Heatley will be a Sen at the start of next season. Hey, mkreku. How do you feel about the Grabovski signing? 3 years at $2.9 million per season. Seems a little high to me.
-
Actually I like the real one better than Morgoth's. The fake just has way too much stuff going on.

I can't imagine how you managed to beat those mines solo with a gimped character like a F/M/T against all those kobolds. If you ever manage to make it through Firewine, please do share the story.
-
Okay, first Volo dumps Gomez on me and then mkreku steals Komisarek! DAMN YOU TORONTO! Hal Gill is not a replacement for Komisarek. Gionta signs with the Habs, reunited with Gomez? 5 years/$25 million deal. Dunno what they think they are doing though. Certainly haven't added any size up front.

It wasn't that the Sens wouldn't trade him after paying the $4 million, but rather that the asking price for Heatley is going to go up. I don't see Heatley being moved at this point though. EDIT: Krookie, when did you hear those rumours? Before or after he was actually traded to Philly?

That was the fight, but she didn't touch me. I never moved into her line of sight, it was just the rest of her goons. I think it's the inventory icons. All important/rare items in those games have distinctive icons. With KotOR-style text-based inventories, and the absurd amounts of loot you get from sacking broom cupboards everywhere, the excitement is lost. Funny how games that are ten years old can have an advantage in eye candy over modern games. I don't think that's all there is to it. Besides the inventory icons, all the good loot at least in Baldur's Gate had an interesting back story to go along with it, not to mention the difference between the crappy stuff and the good stuff was much higher. All the items in Mass Effect are like finding infinite numbers of generic magical longswords. Did anyone really care when they were picking up 30 +3 longswords in the oasis? How about a generic +5 longsword when you had things like Carsomyr and all the other cool weapons around? Sure of the guns were better than others, but the equipment is really pretty secondary to how effective your character is in Mass Effect. Finding an assault rifle that has twice the accuracy rating just means you can fire slightly longer bursts. Finding that +2 longsword in Baldur's Gate on the mercenary by the Nashkel mines? That was special. Not only did it have a back story, but it was a great weapon, had a nicer looking in game representation and had a bonus effect (extra cold damage) that you saw every time you hit someone.

Bouwmeester signs 5 year-$33 million deal with flames.

Are you sure they only used throw? I'm almost positive that I've had lift used against me during a certain boss fight. Maybe my game was just freaking out, but I'm sure I left the ground. Enemies made great usage of tech abilities. Those bastards love to spam sabotage like there is no tomorrow, which for those spam happy bastards there won't be even if I have to beat them to death with their own arms after they permanently overheated all my weapons thanks to that freakin' overheating bug. Singularity is a good area disable, but I found that lift was better for actually killing things. Singularity dragged them all over the place while lift just let them float there for you to kill, or push over the edge of a cliff.

I hate you so much right now. Why did you have to infect my team with that huge ass $7 million/4 year contract?! Damn you Volourn! Gomez is good, but he's not freakin' $7 million good. EDIT: I'm even more disgusted because that's $7 million we don't have to throw at someone who might actually be worth that kind of contract! The Sedin twins are also officially out of the picture.

Shotgun Sentinel with Liara + Tali? 2x Lift 2x Throw 1x Singularity 1x AI Hacking 2x Overload 2x Sabotage Yeah, the only difficult fight on insanity was the very first one outside the bar on the Citadel and that's only because every time I threw those jerks over the edge they'd clip through the wall instead of dying and the bar wouldn't unlock.

The towns are actually pretty good for harvesting life force if you enslave everyone. Nordberg will raise seals for you to squash and Everlight bars just throw out life force for you to pick up.

I just got back from the Shaw Festival. We spent the weekend travelling around the Niagara region checking things out and going to a few plays (The Devil's Disciple and In Good King Charles Golden Days) which was entertaining. Also went down to the falls and got a nasty sunburn on my neck. On the bright side, I've never sat up straight so much in my life. By the time this sunburn is gone I'll have perfect posture from trying to keep my shirt from irritating the burned area.

Honestly, my pictures were taken as BMP by fraps, opened in MS Paint and then saved as jpgs. That's all I did with them.

I pulled an unplanned all nighter the other day. All in all I think it took around 18 hours from start to finish and completing all the quests. On the area count it depends on where you draw the dividing line for an area. Do all the ice areas count as part of Nordberg? If so there's only 4 different themes. I can't recall just how big the first game was, but I think Overlord 2 is a little smaller. I'd say that the areas are generally better designed and more fun in Overlord 2 even if there are fewer of them.

I picked up my copy at Future Shop actually. Unless they get 80 copies, EB Games has this habit of gutting every copy the receive and horribly mangling my manuals in the process. Just finished the game actually and I quite enjoyed it. Not enough to play through again right away but I will come back to it. Maybe after I finish The Conduit. One more picture for you guys.

You are probably think of Fox. CNN has been updated to say that LA Times and the AP have both said he's dead.
-
Dead? Or in a coma? CBC article CNN says was in coma, is now dead, but haven't confirmed reports yet.

Those damn cheeky seals know my minions can't swim. They're out there, laughing at me. Meanwhile I'm laughing at the stupid treehuggers and my Yeti decides he likes baby seals more than he likes me. Also, Gnarl shares some words of wisdom.

Could have had these up earlier, but I was having too much fun playing the full game. The fourth one has been posted, but mine is bigger and didn't cut off the guy on the right. :D I like the third one though. More in the next post!
-
Haven't started either just yet, but at some point today I'll be trying out The Conduit (Wii) and Overlord 2 (PC).
-
Is that a bad thing? To be honest, I barely noticed it was there, or if there was a way to remove it. The demo has very limited options available tho so even if there is, it might not be in the demo. And minions chasing baby seals made me laugh, because I'm evil, or something. Replace the smilie code "aiee!" with "Woo!" The first game not having a minimap made some areas a little more annoying to find your way around in when all the hallways looked exactly the same. Too bad I couldn't find a copy in town today. I was told either tomorrow or thursday depending on where I went.
-
Nice picture. Love the little guy on the right. *wonders where the PETA complaints are*
-
I just have one thing to say. Minimap!
-
That would be Overlord 2 correct? I'm picking up my copy of that later this week.
